I don't get the big deal. I read an article and I swear it said this won't happen again until January 1, 2101.

But next year we will have 10-10-10, then 11-11-11, then 12-12-12. Last year we had 8/8/08.

What am I missing??

The story I saw said it was the last "single-digit" date we'd have for 92 years.
10/10/10, and 11/11/11 are double-digit dates.
