Hmm, after reading here about staying at comfort inn, I might try that. I just live in Jacksonville FL but after the free parking it doesn't cost much more at all to go a day early. I'll have to talk to DW about this!

It is the Country inn and suites at port canaveral. When you look at the rates they usually list about 3 but there is a button below for more rates, click that and you will see the park and cruise, it is $103 for 2 adults.

I've been gathering stuff for weeks ( very disorganized), have my packing list, and have most of my FE stuff finished and in ziplock bags!! Just had dental surgery, so hope to feel well enough this weekend to get most everything done. Have 3 websites to finish building next week, then we leave on Saturday to start our drive from PA.

DD 14 still has a 7 page research paper and a chapter of Alg 2 and some art to finish before the end of July ( cyber school) along with 4-5 hours of gymnastics a day.

I am so ready for this trip!!!

ME picks up at all of the resorts now..they just won't tell you when it gets to your resort until you check in. They go to each resort once. It is also possible to be picked up at another resort as long as you tell them which one.

Yes they are doing the magical Express. Gram and Poppy and SIL are all DVC members. DH and I and the kids are just mooches!!

So look for an old couple, with a middle aged woman and 2 blonde girls ages 10 and 14 getting on at OKW!!

I booked a room at that property yesterday for Mon Aug 2. For myself, hubby, and daughter it was still the $103 rate. We normally drive over morning of since we live near WDW, but for this rate, just $28+tax more than parking, we decided what a great way to start the vacation a day early.

How do you get back to the hotel parking lot after the cruise?

Free shuttle round trip! I confirmed with the hotel GM. The shuttle to the port start at 1030am, return from ship at 730am.

And you ran to Florida just like we did

Sometimes I miss the snow and then I remember shoveling it and how it was only "White" for a few days before it became black. The biggest problem is I went to college in Duluth and just couldn't take the cold. Plus I always wanted to work in theme parks, at least I got that out of my system
