05/24-05/31/14 - The Disney Fantasy, (Bob) Marley and Me on The FANTASTICAL VOYAGE!

Just switched our booking from the Dream to the Fantasy! Decided I needed a longer vacation!! Me and my DS (6) will be in cabin 8514. This will be our 3rd Disney cruise.

Tony/John

Can you please add our stateroom to the 1st page room call list? Its 11016. I am on my mobile but will look at the fe info in the next few days. Thanks!!!

Guess I was so excited I forgot all the important stuff on my earlier post:

Who: Gabby 43/DF and Grant 6/DS
From: Beautiful Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri (yes, I'm a "local")
Stateroom: 8514
Celebrations during the cruise: End of school year and possibly first trip to WDW for DS - still undecided but I think it's time!
Dining: Late and love it!
Participate in FE: Maybe - have the prior 2 cruises but still undecided
Prior Disney cruises/ships: Dream 6/12; Wonder 2/13. This will be our 3rd DCL cruise and I am now addicted thanks to my cousins who introduced this to me last year when I got a last minute special to join them.
A few words: DS is very outgoing and loves new friends and it appears that there are many DS's in the 5-7 age range which will be awesome! I look forward to getting to know all of you over the next 11 months and it looks like there are many of my fellow Missouri residents joining us!

Okay can DF and I get added to the FE? We would love to do it. Also forgive my ignorance as this is my first time doing FE and being on these boards but what is Mixology?

In the past we've gotten bracelets to identify DISboarders. I think I have a pic here somewhere . . . let me see.

Well, this one is from THIS year's "Fantasia Amigos" cruise.

Hey John, I work for a promo product company I would love to volunteer to do this. Would that work? Message me how you want it to go and I will take care of it. I would think we would just need to have a final count four weeks from the sail date for me to get them in time to pack. I would love to help out.

There are several 'tasting sessions/seminars' on the ship, such as Cognac Tasting, Tequila Tasting, Martini Tasting, Wine Tasting, Chocolate Tasting and then there's Mixology where you get behind the bar and learn to mix drinks. The one we attended ran like this. The bar is set up with glasses for everyone. The bartender describes the drink to be made and 4 people got behind the bar. In our group, we had 24 people so each 'bartender' made 6 drinks. This went on through 4 different drinks. Then the bartender and his assistants poured the last champagne cocktail. I did the Cognac tasting a couple of cruises back and that was fun. I'd love to do the Chocolate Tasting. Anyway, we were able to schedule private sessions just for our group on Thursday afternoon while at sea. It worked out well.

I think the Cognac Tasting cost $20/pp and the Mixology was $15/pp.

Fantastic! Sometime in the next few months, I guess Tony will get suggestions for a 'cruise name'. That's what usually goes on the wristband along with the cruise date.

I'll start - "Jamaican Me Crazy", "Jamaican Fantasy, Mon!"

BTW - What day are you getting married?

We are really hoping to be able to cancel our
8C and rebook connecting 11Bs so that our growing DSs will have more room. :)

Did you get the rooms switched? I still have you down in 8514, but now mom2grant is in there.

Let us know your new cabin numbers, especially if you want to do the FE Exchange.

John, I love your name ideas. I priced out some wristbands today at work. I can do the screen printed ones for $0.30 each and I can do the debossed ones for $0.55 each. The only catch is I have to order at least 100 of them. But at those prices it would make the total order $30.00 Screened or $55 debossed. I do still need to see if they have youth sizes. If they don't ahve the youth sizes, I have a few other sources but I was so jazzed about the price I had to share. I almost think there would be no point in charging people, I can just include it in my FE gift and deliver mine or use one of my wedding minions to help out Saturday night. Once it is decided I suppose folks can just let me know and I will deliver.

As far as the wedding date, there's actually two first there is a legal ceremony on embarkation day (known to DISCruiseBrides as Legal Ceremony Day) that usually happens some time between noon and 3:45. Then ther is the at sea ceremony, Meredith my DFTW coordinator said that most likely it will be on Sunday the 25th but I don't actually find out until 45 days before we sail. I will be sure to post on the thread and on FB when and where and stuff. At this point I don't even know if we are getting married outside on the deck or in the Outlook lounge. There are only (right now) 15 people in our group including myself. 14 adults and one adorable toddler who will be 2.5 when we sail. If anyone is terribly bored you can ready my PJ for the wedding the link is in my signature.

We would totally do the mixology thing if you guys set one up. I asume you guys would let us know how/when to sign up? :teacher:

Since this is only our second DCL cruise and my first being connected to the DISboards I am so totally geeking out about all this. Happy to be on here.

Have an awesome weekend you guys.

Hmmmm...just looking at the FE list, and the other cruisers, and noticed someone else listed in my stateroom. I think it was nursegirl? We are confirmed in 5518, so wonder where the confusion is.

I'm not certain about FE yet but our new room # is 8666. All the inside connecting rooms were sold out but we did rebook to get the additional OBC. :)

Sorry, I haven't been to this thread in a while. I'm more active on FB but I will try to do better. ;)

Yeah I saw that too. But I have a confirmation so maybe they upgraded or switched cruises.

We cruised a few weeks ago and tried to get two inside connecting but they were sold out so we "reshopped" our cruise to get additional OBC and got an aft room. :)

Thanks for the head's up. I marked nursegirl in red, but since she's not in FE, I'm not too worried about it. Could be she switched cruises or rooms. If we don't hear from her by cruise time, we'll just delete.

No problem. Got your room changed on the list. Let me know when you want to join the FE Exchange. I'll have to post on the FB page too for questions like this to make sure I cover all bases.

I love the bracelet idea...would be willing to pay if they aren't someone's FE gift.

We will be in for some kind of mixology too. Never done one before, but sounds like fun. Kids love the kids club, so I'm sure we can find some free time. Last cruise, we had early dinner, kids were in the club in the evenings, and we were like "now what?" Not used to time without the kids! LOL!

Definitely interested in mixology! DH and I just did this on the Dream a few weeks ago and had a blast. There was only 5 people in our class so I know it would be even better with a large group.
