Our family of 5 has been planning our first Disney Cruise (this cruise) for only a few short months. Disney is definitely a whole new world! And I thought I was doing so well at preparing... I've spent a lot of time reading forums here over the weeks/months, but I just stumbled upon this forum (learning lots!) and have discovered the world of fish extenders. I noticed the cut off for these was over a month ago. Is there any chance that a group would like 3 more children? It sounds so fun. Or perhaps there are other cruisers in my same "boat" :) of being a late comer that would like to start one with us??? Looks like I have missed a lot of opportunity to get to know many of you better leading up to embarkation, but we would love to in 8 days when we all board the Fantasy!

Intro to our family:
Me- Sarah (34/DW), Todd (34/DH), Brielle (10/DD), Ashton (7/DS), and Lainey (5/DD)
From: Boise, Idaho
Stateroom: 10104
Celebrating: School's release the day before!
Dining: Late (yikes!)
Would love to do FE
No prior DC, just DW and DL
About us: My husband owns and runs a hospice, I stay home with the kiddos and coach a fitness class a few days a week. We're an active family, we love to be with friends, and love to make new friends too! We are surprising our kids with this trip the day we leave and are so excited we can't stand it! Our kids are social and will certainly want to find some buddies if any have children close in age. We look forward to a wonderful week in Disney style and hope to get to know some of you there!!! :cool1:

OK Sarah, welcome and I have you in the latecomers group. I'm cutting off the Latecomers group (Team Pluto) tonight. Please take a look at the spreadsheet that's linked in my signature. The second tab has the delivery lists and you're in Team Pluto. Hurry up, there's only 8 more sleeps until we board!

Hi.........welcome to team Pluto! Can you give favorite characters and if alcohol is welcome for adults? We have a 5 yr old son that I'm sure if your kids spend any time in the kids club they will see him....he loves it! Can't wait to meet everyone!

So on the past 2 cruises i've done we have always eaten at the buffet for lunch. Are the sit down places worth a trip. i know its quiter but that doesn't really effect me. is the food better?? Also lets say we tried that could someone from my party bring food from cabanas into another dining establishment. i know we have a picky eater that would probably prefer the buffet but the rest of us might want to try something different this trip

Ok team Pluto here's a question for you. I want to get coloring books for each room. They are WDW coloring books. I work there so I thought that would be a good thing to represent me and my friends who are also CM. Then one of my friends said you would have to get one for each child in each room. I'm young and know nothing about raising children. Do I need to purchase a coloring book for each child?

Hi Pluto Team. Can the adults reply back on whther they drink wine, beer or alcohol or none of the three. Sorry if this as already been asked!

We do not drink beer/wine/alcohol. Sorry if we're difficult! Water bottles? We'll probably need plenty of that there!

Thanks! We're very excited to be on the team! I'm guessing on the characters since if I ask my kids directly they might suspect (we haven't told them about the trip yet). I think Brielle's (10) favorite is Elsa (or Belle if Elsa is too new for what you are doing), Ashton's (7) would be Jack Sparrow (Mickey if that one is too tough), and Lainey's (5) is Rapunzel. Todd and I don't drink, but water/sparkling cider/pop is welcomed. My 5 year old daughter plays great with the boys still so she'll be very excited to meet your son!

We just booked this cruise a couple of weeks ago. It is our first cruise! We will have Mimi 57 f, Shannon dw 38 shep ds 7 and CeeCee dd 4.
I am not sure if I put any of that in right! I am not sure about fish e
Xtenders. If anyone could help explain that would be great! We have a guaranteed verandah room. And last dining! We are so excited and would love any tips!

So excited you have a 7 year-old son! My son is also 7. Maybe we'll see you at the meet and greet?

i think depending on the ages of the children in the room maybe... mine are 18 and 13 so im pretty positive the 18 year old would forego a coloring book but someone that has say a 4 and 5 year old especially if they are a girl and boy are less likely to be understanding of having to share a gift... just my thought...if it helps, i got the kids some little goodie bags as an extra and i did get each child in the room something....

In answer to your question...just my .02...coloring books are a great idea for the younger set... probably 10 and under.....yes,you would need one for each child.....you might need to re-think the tween and teen set, they would not use a coloring book......maybe a flashlight, book light, deck of cards...arcade dinero.....
and I think it's great you are putting a lot of thought into this!!

hope this helps!!

A few words about you and your group:
Brian is a welsh speaking Welshman (his first language) if anyone is up for a little welsh conversation during our trip ! Don't worry - his english is just as good. Joe is flying back ahead of us after the cruise, to re-take an exam he failed last year - let him be a lesson to other teenagers who think it is smart not to revise for exams :rolleyes1 ! We don't normally do Disney in May, but was lucky enough to book this at a glitch price whilst moving a placeholder cruise. Our first time on the Fantasy !

Looking forward to meeting you all - especially the thread & FE organisers who I must say have done a brilliant job !:cheer2:
