Hi! My DS(5) is the same and super shy. I usually have to help him get started with talking to a kid and then he's usually ok. I've also heard from others that they had kids that hated the clubs and did not want to stay. I hope it's not that way for mine. I would like him to have fun on our cruise and enjoy himself too! But yes, all will be ok cause we'll be on the Fantasy!

Hi - my daughter is also painfully shy - however she really loved the clubs. I met with the CM's when we arrived and explained that she is shy and she loves to do crafts - the CM's always made sure she had something to do - near the beginning of the cruise, she was sitting all by herself making bracelets and drawing. By the end of the cruise - most of the girls were sitting with her and they were making friendship bracelets.

I have also brought crafts to the meet for kids to work on together -I find it helps them start talking to have an activity. I would bring door hangers for them to glue items on or koozie's (foam cup holders) and foam stickers and markers so they could decorate.

Your comment about being a planner/scheduler made me think of an extended family trip with Brian's brother and family a few years ago. I sent his brother a very rough itinerary (park hours, parades, fireworks, dining ADRs). He asked me if I had bathroom breaks scheduled .

My daughter, Kelsey gave me trouble on the holiday trip because I had time scheduled for 'relax', and some that said 'drive'. Of course, she is 20 right now and knows EVERYTHING!!!

I know my last cruise group had a separate Facebook group just for the teens. I'd be happy to go ahead and set one up. I'll stay on just to be the admin, but it can be just for the younger crowd, I'll stay out of the conversations. I can make it closed or secret...anyone have an opinion on that? Closed means no one sees the conversations unless they are part of the group, but you can search for the group. Secret means no one can see it or even search for it.

Thanks for taking that on, Debbie! I swear we almost need a database to be able to sort individuals, etc.....while I love the idea of keeping up with the group maintenance, I've been falling behind. Now that the holidays are nearly over, I'm hoping to become much more focused!!!

Ok, who has snow? We got up to 8" of snow today and it was still coming down! 160 days to go!!!

We missed the snow (barely)....by hauling our butts to Orlando!! Pedal to the metal. It was really treacherous driving on I-57S in Illinois, but cleared about 30 miles down Hwy24E. By the time we returned, temps had risen and much of the accumulation was melted away.

Talk about PERFECT PLANNING.

WELCOME ALL! I see DizDaddy's been hard at work and got you on the roll call list. I finally got around to updating the spreadsheet for the FE Exchange (link is in my signature below).

Kelly: I'll need your cabin number when you have it so we know where to deliver all the goodies.

For those looking for information, open the spreadsheet linked in my signature below and look at the third tab (bottom of spreadsheet). There are links to all sorts of good information on Fish Extenders and gifts, along with general cruising tips.

Once April 6th rolls around, I'll split the list into managable groups (no more than 20 cabins each, more like 15) and then you'll see who you'll be delivering to (sorry, sister Liz would have a fit "and then you'll see to whom you will deliver").

Getting closer now. Can't wait until 99 days to go so we can start using DizDaddy/Sues14 FE gift from last time! We use it for all our trips and cruises.
