04/30-05/06 OKW studio, is it possible there will be room at the inn?

Jetblue just sent me an e-mail to tell me that my flight, book in 10/04, was changed. Actually the entire flight was cancelled. It looks like they have cancelled several days worth of their 7:40pm flight out of MCO. Our was for the first week of May 05. They booked us for the next day (mid day), no change fee. But due to a new tax/increased tax, we will owe .40 when we get to the airport, lol.

Thankfully after I modified my car rental ressie, it stayed the same.

But now I have the long weekend wait to wait for DVC MS to open on Monday, so that I can either borrow more points to add the extra night for our stay at SSR or if they have room, to change to OKW for the same number of points.

So the big question is... Does anyone think that there will be room at OKW during this time? Do I hope or should I just prey for the extra night at SSR?

I think your chances are very good. Even if when you call Monday they don't have it, let the waitlist run it's magic and I'm betting you'll end up happy.

Pam you've made me smile, and due to your name, I have much more hope about this vacation now. It has been more than the cancelled flight this week and it has seemed like nothing good is going to happen to me.

I've stayed at OKW in early/mid May the past 5 years and it was usually pretty quiet. I don't think you will have a problem.

Normally, I'd say yes -- we've booked on very short notice in early May. Is there something going on around that time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Disneyland? Hope I'm wrong and you get what you need.

Just to add that the first week of May tends to usually have pretty terrific weather (there was one time out of about 10 that it was yucky). It's warm but not unbearable and the humidity hasn't kicked in yet. Epcot looks great since it's Flower Festival time. I think the Grad Nites could be happening on Friday at MK but I've never had the Grad Nites have much (if any) of a negative impact.

Not sure if there's any Disneyland related activity happening.

I called this morning, and we have been moved over to OKW without wait list, so I am very happy! We could have stayed at SSR for the extra night, but we wanted to save those extra points. And the move to OKW didn't add on any points, so this flight change will only cost us more in food money .
