We have 59 staterooms participating!

Please PM me with any stateroom changes or emergency cancellations.

I plan to be in the Promenade lounge at 3pm on 4-27-11 with copies of the roster. If you change staterooms at port please come a touch early with your changes. I am going to print the roster on ORANGE paper to make it easier to find me.

This is now my shameless plug to stuff those little bottles of rum in my FE, so get packing!

GETTING YOUR LANYARDS AND NAME BADGES
If your name is on this list (except for those on the "not confirmed" list), I have a name badge and lanyard for you. Please make an effort to pick them up.

Name badges and lanyards will be available at the following locations:

In Los Angeles:
At the terminal - I will get there fairly early - you will have to play "Where's Ken" to find me. It probably won't be to difficult - just ask the people with the special lanyards and name badges.

On Deck 10 - Starboard side (that's the ride side of the ship) - overlooking the Goofy pool from 2:30 to 3:30pm - if it's raining, I will move to the Promenade Lounge.

If we can't connect in these places, you will have to call me in room 6584 and make arrangements for pickup.

I will be giving out two sets of lanyards and name badges in Los Angeles for those doing the B2B!

In Vancouver:
Because I'm on the Repo, I cannot guarantee that I will be in the terminal at Vancouver. Therefore, I will be in the Promenade Lounge from 2:30 to 3:30.

I am not aware of a Disboard meet on the ship. I've offered to be at the Promenade lounge at 3pm with the Fe Repo Roster for those participating, unless there is a different meet I don't know about.

Cool! Who knows, you might get a chance to show off your improv talent in one of the lounge games or something!

LOL! This will be my 8th cruise on DCL. The most recent one was the Wonder's Panama Canal in January. I think by now I may be barred from the Quest games.
If it weren't such a short cruise with only 2 sea days, i'd see if there was any interest in some informal improv games one afternoon. I recall having a bit of fun with that on the first Magic Panama Canal journey.

Does anyone have any inside scoop on who we're going to have for the cabaret entertainment on the cruise? I don't recall seeing it mentioned as I browsed through the thread.

I have seen some Navigators, but I was wondering if they will take on "new talent" in LA and take them to AK, too.

As most of you know I am on a B2B2B and this cruise is the middle one. On the first one's thread some folks have asked for a copy of my packing list...so I thought I would make it available to anyone who wants it from this thread a well. PM me your email address, it is in excel 2007 version. And will show you just how bad my OCD can be!!!


I agree about the posting of the FE list in one place. Maybe a link to an online doc on the first page? (like google docs or the ilk?). Like Erik, I would like to ensure I have enough of my item for everyone!

A question for anyone who can HELP me!!! I am putting this on both REPO and 1st ALASKA threads.

I've started laying out clothes to pack for both the REPO and ALASKA cruises and I am stumped.

You guys out there... are you bringing any short sleeve polos? I don't know how to pack for Joe! Long sleeve shirts only? He has turtlenecks and long sleeved knit type pullovers for work, but they will really eat up the suitcase space.

We've never had the heat on before in our staterooms only the AC!

I'm packing only short sleeved casual shirts for my DH - short sleeved polos for dinner and nicer t-shirts for days at sea & in-port. We both tend to be a bit more, um, warm blooded (plus we're used to the Pacific Northwest weather) so short-sleeves are it for us. Also, I'm packing two long-sleeved dress shirts for him for the nicer dinners. However, your DH might want some long-sleeved shirts for Alaska as it can be chilly up there in the spring.

I do pack nicer hoodies and warmer shell jackets for us so we can layer (important for San Francisco, Victoria and Vancouver!). I think a lot depends on if your DH tends to be on the warmer side - for example, my dad is very "thin-blooded" as he likes to say, so whenever they come to visit, he almost always brings only long-sleeved shirts unless we're in the middle of summer. When they went to Alaska in May last year, my parents definitely needed long-sleeved shirts as they said it was quite chilly & rainy when they were there. So since you're doing the B2B, it might be good to pack a mixture of both types of shirts.

So my suggestion would be to pack layers, then some more layers, and then more layers.

(And, yes, I pack for my DH too. He packed for himself once and after a Target, Gap and Banana Republic run in Anaheim, we finally had everything he had forgotten Since then, I pack for him )

I agree with the layers...my major suggestion is that you invest in silk long johns...they are very thin and lightweight, but will keep you very warm, they will fit under most clothing and really are worth the money. A bottoms pair should be about 40.00 a top can be a little more. Campmor.com sells them and will ship overnight if needed. Most good sporting good stores sell them as well.

I am getting together a pins 101 type meet for the 10 day cruise am on just before this cruise...would there be any interest in something like this on the repo cuise? I will also post this on the AK cruise...

This is an informal meet to explore pin trading 101...kinda like Linda's scrapbooking thing...but also if any experieced traders are bringing books...we can trade!!!
