01-05 Apr 07 WONDERful Trip Report w/ Lots of Pics.

:thumbsup2 GREAT report so far! I love all the photos. You're doing a great job with the report, keep on going!!

One thing I am not sure I mentioned is we downgraded our state room from a Category 7 to a Category 10 inside state room. We stayed in room 2647 specifically. There was a little noise and vibration at night but it did not bother us. We did our best to stay busy and only returned to our state when we were dead tired.

Another thing I would like to mention is there was a fresh fruit basket delivered to our room on the day we boarded the ship. Every evening there was a either cheese platter, or dessert platter delivered to our room. Some of the food was wasted because we were full when we returned to our rooms.

We did order rooom service one night. My son ordered pizza and my wife had a BLT. I sampled both and they were tasty.:thumbsup2

The only onboard entertainment we took advantage of is a juggling/comedy show on the first night and Disney Dreams. Both shows were wonderful and for a second we forgot we were on a cruise ship. We made it a point not to do everything on our first Disney cruise.

Out of curiousity why did you down grade

2 weeks before we departed our travel agent forwarded an email he received from Disney. The email offered us a refund or over $900 to downgrade our state room. My wife and I decided to take the offer because we thought of our state room only as a place crash and wash up.

Normally we do not skimp on hotel accommodations when we travel. For some people a state room with a verandah is the only option, for others the state room is not important. :confused3

 This is a great trip report!! I love your pictures~ they really show many different aspects of the cruise! Thanks so much for sharing!!! :cool1:

We were on the same cruise as you. Looking at your pic makes me want back on...lol. I havent developed my pics yet. My cousin took mine, my mom, and her camara card and took it home with her to put on disc. I should have the pics later this week.

How did you get fruit delivered to your room? We ordered room service to get fruit each night , but we didnt have anything delivered. which i have to admit, I was very spoiled with all that fruit at your fingertips everywhere you want. I loved it.

My son who is 11 LOVED the lab! He also participated in the graduation. We got some pics of the graduation and was gonna take one of my ds on stage, do you remember seeing a real tall boy like he was a head taller then everybody. Well he stood right infront of my son...lol. So we had to wait til he was walking up the aisle to get a pic of him...lol.

My daughter who is 13 will turn 14 later this month. They sang Happy birthday to her and gave her a cake. She was red face, usually they would just start singing, but they yelled out my I have your attention ladies and Gentleman, Emily is having a birthday...lol. You could tell she wanted to crawl under the table...lol.

We did Palo brunch on sea day. It was amazing. They had the best crossantes (sp?) I have ever ate. They melted in your mouth.

Now looking at your pics I cant wait til I get mine in the mail!

Great report! Thanks for sharing & all of the great pictures! :thumbsup2

Awesome report -- LOVE the pictures!:cool1:

We also book a "lower" category room, an 11 for our family of four, and thought it was just fine. I am more interested in $$ than the extra space. That way we may be able to go again!

Great report and loved your pics!!

We can't wait for our cruise 6/21!!!!

SaintTaris, great report and pics, thank you so much. :thumbsup2 Myself, DH and 4 1/2 yo DD will be going on our first Disney Cruise on April 29th (4 nighter) and can't wait. :dance3:

BTW, what was the name of that drink you had in your one pic and what's in it?...............it looked good! ;)

The drink is called a Mojito (Mo-hee-toe). I would advise you to stay away from this drink. A Mojito is a traditional Cuban cocktail and the most refreshing coctail in captivity. The ingredients are:

Fresh Lime wedges
Sugar or Sugar syrup or Sugar cane juice
Fresh SpearMint sprigs
These ingredients are muddled together in the glass.
The coctail is topped off with soda water, rum and ice.

Imagine a sprite with mint.....::yes:: :worship:

A Mojito will cause you to go home and start an herb garden that includes 5 Spearmint plants just so you can enjoy this light refreshing beverage at home. Mojitos should be avoided at all costs. :lmao:

You and your family will have a great time on the cruise.

Oh, I know what's on top of my list now...Bartender give me a "Mo-hee-toe"! Sounds wonderful! You probably forget how to pronounce this drink after a few of them! We're going August 2008, Can't wait!

Great trip report. The pirate buffet looks awesome.:thumbsup2

Question, where is everyone getting their card holder things that looks like its holding their key to the world? I want a few, but where can I get them?:goodvibes

Thanks!

Michelle

WOW, that drink sounds awesome, SaintTaris. :thumbsup2 Well, now I know what I'll be drinking on board. :woohoo: If I break the bank with my bar bill, I'll tell my husband it's all your fault. :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Seriously, have no fear, I'm really a lightweight and I'll probably only be able to handle one mojito a day or else I'll get green around the gills. :scared:

The plain holders you can get at Walmart for about a $1. On board the fancier ones are more like $6-$10.
