Doing our first Copper Creek stay soon in a 2 bedroom. Any requests I should think about?
Does dedicated vs lock-off really matter much? I really just prefer NOT having the 1st floor. Is that something I could add?

There are only 3 on the first floor (1 dedicated and 2 lockoffs, which are tub bookings). Odds are without a request you’d get a higher floor anyways. Do you already have a booking? Or you making a booking? Because the booking will decide lockoff (tub or shower on the studio side) or dedicated two bedroom.

Personally I think CCV doesn’t really have bad views at all my request would normally be high floor, near elevator. The views will either be predominately the main pool or the quiet pool. You can replace near elevator with closer to lake also. That would move you down the wing, further walk to the elevator but generally a little nicer view.

The first (or second) post has a map that shows the location of all room types to give an idea of what the views could be.

I already have a booking. I didn't see a place that specified whether it was lock off or dedicated, where do I look for that?
Glad to hear most views are good.

I'd go for something like this (room 6131). I love looking into the pool on that side and you have a partial fireworks view if that is something you would like...

Hi, I have an upcoming cash stay at CCV in a walk in shower studio in August. Just a question on the mini fridges, do they have a a little freezer section in them? I am wondering whether to bring an ice cube tray and use them to putice in my water bottle for the parks, it's going to be hot in August!

Also does anyone have a clue why the walk-in shower rooms are so much cheaper than tub rooms or even room at the standard lodge, just for curiosity. I went into this trip prepared to book AKL since it's the cheapest deluxe, but the CCV shower rooms came in at 296 a night vs 316 at AKL. Other room types at WL, including CCV with tubs, were 330-40 ish if I remember. I jumped on that price and am looking forward to visiting your resort.

Where did you find that rate?

I booked in January on the website the day they dropped the free dining promo (Im an AP so didn't book that) and was up to 35% off select resorts. Like I said I was surprised to see WL lower than AKL at 296 and when I checked it was only CCV with walk in shower style rooms, every other room in the 335 range minimum. Early August is some of the cheapest room rates but still was shocked to see the price.

Just looked now for my dates 8/4-11 using no discounts, CCV w walk in shower are $460, BR studios are 507. I got to book the room at $460-35% so 296ish. Im still wondering why that style room is that much cheaper.

I would assume the rooms that are cheaper are the rooms that Disney has a harder time filling, IOW, rooms that aren't as popular with cash guests as the more expensive ones are.

Nice rate! I think possibly because the BRV studios have an additional sleep surface, they can accommodate 5 while CCV does not have the small twin pull down bed and only sleeps 4. And, a lot of families want a room with a tub for younger kids, not a shower.

We are new members at CCV and are looking to book a vacation next summer with extended family. We're looking to book either 3 studios or a 2 bedroom and 1 studio. Do you think there is any chance of booking 3 studios at the 11 month mark?

I think summer bookings for CCV are probably not super in demand right at 11mos so I think there’s a good chance really. Three studios in one shot are always a bit more challenging but I still think you’ll be fine. Good luck!

We will be staying at Cascade cabins in a few weeks and We were wondering where or if there is a trash and recycling area? Like the kind you find on certain floors of other DVC resorts. We find these very convenient to get rid of our trash/ recycling every day or so. Keeps the room fresh.
