They we’re working on BRV Friday afternoon, I was less than amused having just driven through the night and trying to get some sleep. Beep, beep, beep right outside my window.Hi all. Just wanted to update the post above. It appears some exterior work has started. Posts on Facebook from guests currently at WL wrote today they began painting or restaining the exterior. They stated there are 2 cranes right outside Sturdy Branches. That’s all that was posted. I’ll update if any additional information is given.
Thanks for sharing that!! Hope you still had fun! They we’re working on BRV Friday afternoon, I was less than amused having just driven through the night and trying to get some sleep. Beep, beep, beep right outside my window.
(That was the only day I saw them working this weekend)
On a bright note they did replace the CCV wooden soap dishes with a nice frosted glass one yesterday. Sorry forgot to get a pic.
What exactly are they doing? Is it scaffolding or just a high reach? Thank you! Enjoy the rest of your stay!!!They we’re working on BRV Friday afternoon, I was less than amused having just driven through the night and trying to get some sleep. Beep, beep, beep right outside my window.

The CCV sofa beds are pretty good. Our daughter (14) is using one this trip and has no complaints. We have had one before in a studio and thought it to be decent. Still not as great as a real mattress but pretty good. We have just been leaving it out all the time. I don’t have experience with the AKL couch bed for comparison though. How comfortable are the sofa beds in the studios for an adult?
We were able to switch our MW reservation for two nights in a CCV villas and I am very excited but now I am wondering if I made a mistake … we had a tough time at AKL with the couch last year and a good night sleep would be important before the races… how do they compare?
thanks!
Not good at all. The mattresses on the pull outs are very thin and you can feel the bars from the supports. I am someone who can sleep most anywhere and I had a very hard time on the pull out. It was not comfortable. The floor might have been better (slight exaggeration, but not much). The Murphy beds are great, the pull outs are not, they are quite old and flat now. BRV now have the Murphy beds, see if there is availability there. How comfortable are the sofa beds in the studios for an adult?

Thanks a lot for the info! One thing that bothered us at the BLT facing the Contemporary side were the pool activities from their main pool. (We're afternoon nappers, especially on hot and humid days.)I’ve never heard noise from the lobby. The loudest room we had was when we overlooked the main pool. We couldn’t take a nap before the Xmas party because of all of the pool activities in the afternoon. We requested a room overlooking the Boulder Ridge side the next time and that was super quiet.
We have heard noise from Whispering Canyon one evening when we had a room right off the lobby. I think it was a particularly rowdy crowd that night though. The magnificent view of the lobby when opening our door make up for that though. The other time we noticed noise was when we had a room that faced the pool. It was July so it was a hopping place mid day when they played games. In the cooler months it wasn't an issue. This May, staying at the BLT, we decided to do a quick tour of the Lodge and really liked the atmosphere. We're considering CCV or BRV (studio) for our next stay - it's only 2 adults, so we don't care about pull-out sofa or Murphy bed.
What we do care about though is having a quiet room, so I was wondering about the noise levels from the lobby if we were to stay at CCV. How much do actually hear through the room door?
I've never had any desire to do the Pandora charm bracelet thing... until now!New Pandora Charms Inspired by Walt Disney World Deluxe Resort Hotels

Wilderness Lodge Pandora Charm – $75
This charm features the Disney’s Wilderness Lodge logo, which is a sign featuring two bears walking among trees in front of a mountain.
Thanks! I think the consensus seems to be that the potential noise issue would stem from the main pool, and not so much through the room door from the lobby. This will help with requesting a room location. We have heard noise from Whispering Canyon one evening when we had a room right off the lobby. I have requested a room that opens onto the lobby every time we have gone (many times) and have never received my request. The number of rooms that do is “relatively” small. You will probably get it first try because you want to avoid noise. For me the chance seem to be a small percentage. Thanks!
