“Official” 2018 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party – Strategy and Itinerary Thread

I have been working on the 2018 Character List pdf as well as the 2018 Trick or Treat pdf and will have those up after the August parties or sooner. Elvis Stitch is my wild card and I'm really hoping Disney changes their position with Cruella and gives her an actual location to meet guests.

Hello, this is my first party and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed! Is this too much? Our priorities in order are: Haunted Mansion, Parade, Fireworks, Hocus Pocus show, ride overlays, characters, trick or treating. If anyone could help me strategise I'd really appreciate it.

October 25th
2 attendees -myself and Jason (my long-term love and partner in crime).

3.30-4.00: MK Party Entrance
4:00-4.30: Big Thunder Mountain Fastpass
4.30–5.30: Buzz Lightyear Fastpass
5.30-6.30: Meet Ariel at her Grotto FastPass

6.30-7.00: I line up for Queen of Hearts and Jason gets Oogie Popcorn Bucket from Castle popcorn stand
7:15: Meet Queen of Hearts and the Tweedles
7.15 – 7.30: Maleficent dessert from Storybook Treats

7.30 – 8.00: Space Mountain
8.00 – 8.30: Pirates of the Caribbean
8.30-9.00: Haunted Mansion

9.15: Boo to You from Frontierland
10.00-10.30: 10:15 HalloWishes from near Casey’s (get Headless Horseman straw clip)
10.45 -11.10: Hocus Pocus show (same spot)
11.30 – 12.00: Elvis Stitch then Trick or Treat / Exchange Allergy tokens

This part of your night is the only issue I see. It’s a lot of criss-crossing around the park and I don’t see how you’ll get through each one, including travel time, wait time and ride time in 30 minutes each. And even if you did, you will not be in a position to get a good spot for the parade exiting HM at 9:00.

My recommendation would be to head to HM at 7:30, then do Pirates, and grab a spot for the parade near Peco Bills / Splash Mountain.

Save Space for after your Elvis Stitch M&G since you’ll be right there and can enter the line right up until midnight.

We will be there in Sept so we will have an early Halloween window! I just bought a cute Pumpkin at Michael's. It says It's ALL JUST A BUNCH OF HOCUS POCUS!!! No we don't dress up.

Good luck to you too! I’m not too worried about mine because we are trying for fop on 60+5 and sdd on 60+6 but you never know. If we don’t get frozen I won’t be too mad but that’s on day 60+1 for us. Then we are trying to get 7dmt on 60+2. So much work at 6 am lol.

We are doing two parties and are dressing up for both (or that’s the plan). One costume I’m keeping a secret for now. The other I’m wearing a coco shirt and painting my face.

Hey!! This will be our first time checking out the Halloween party so I need as much help as possible
We are attending Monday, September 3rd (so soon!!), Me, DH, DS(2.5), DD(1), and my parents (passholders) - we will all be dressed as peter pan characters

Tag Team 3:30 – 4:30 FP+Dumbo / kids & grandparents (get wristband from Philharmagic after)
3:45 - 4pm – DW and DH Enter MK (go to bypass for bag, map, etc.)
4:15-5:15 – Grandparents get in line for Jack and Sally
Tag Team 3:30 – 4:30 – DW DH & Kids FP+ for Peter Pan
5:10 - 6pm – FP+ for Haunted Mansion
6:15 – 6:30pm – Get in line for Pooh and friends
Tag team Rides with kids, Snacks
7:10pm – 8:15pm - Look for Cruella roaming in the area, Check Lines for Ducks and Minnie Mouse / Stop in Disney Jr. Dance Party
8:30 - 9:35 -- Boo to you in Frontierland (hoping to catch Cadavar Dans and Costume Promenade while waiting)
9:35 - 10:30 try to find a spot by Casey's for the Fireworks at 10:15

I know I may have too much in my list especially with 2 young kids.. Things we want to do in order..

the rest is more of it would be great to do..
Characters: Pooh, Minnie, Mickey, Donald & Daisy, Cruella.. would love Lotso, maybe Stitch if short line) and dance parties (hoping to jump around some between fantasy land, storybook and tomorrow land before heading to the parade), stopping by short treat lines, special memory maker photos (headless horseman and hitch hiking ghosts).. I hope to fit in as much as possible. What would you suggest?
