“Dreams Come True Momma!” A 2 year old’s first trip ~ May 2015~Complete {NEW TR LINK!}

Following! Love reading about your trip. I'm planning to bring my DS1 for his first trip next year (fingers crossed) :P and he would be two and a half by then.

Thats too bad! We had a really good interaction with Prince Charming, but not such a great one with Cinderella.
I can't say it bothered us too much. We had so much fun with the others one dud was okay.

The Tremaines are great! I think they kept us laughing for most of our dinner. :laughing:
They really were!! They almost stole the show!

Happened to me too! It's just so magical there!
::yes:: Pictures really don't do it justice!

I think you do make rope drop and you do see the welcome show! Or at least part of it.
:rolleyes1

OMG your pics of little Miss with Cinderella were just beautiful...almost made me cry!! Happy tears of course.
Many happy tears were shed this night that is for sure!

So true though...a moment like that can just erase all the crap that led to getting there!!
::yes::

I agree with you that the GF is so beautiful...I do hope we can find a way to stay there one day...I wonder if renting DVC points is an option...I'm starting to think more about that but it makes me a bit nervous.
I believe its doable at least in theory. Whether there is actual availability or not is another question.

Also I can't believe that teenagers were that sweet to little miss...I wish ALL teenagers could be sweet like that...my soon to be teen is nuthin' but surly lol and I can't picture him doing anything like that lol.
I think these were less teenagers and more very young 20 somethings. but it was still a very sweet moment. :wizard:

I'm thinking you make RD...although...EMH RD is gonna come quick after a late night!!
:rolleyes1

Yes, it is reactions and the Awe and wonderment of that little one that made all your planning and things so worth while! Good job Mama!
Indeed!

I loved everything in this segment (well except for not getting any points in the game, lol!)
:rotfl: We are just getting things started. There will be more opportunities for points as we go along.

I say you all make it to rope drop and opening show! (What can I saw...I am OPTOMISTIC!)
:rolleyes1

::yes::

That video is classic, you should show that to everyone all the time forever! :rotfl2:
It really really is!

If i hit the lotto i may stay at each Deluxe for a week each, a girl can dream right!:goodvibes
Girl I'm there dreaming with you! :beach:

I think CM and interactions like this really add a little something extra to trips!pixiedust:
They really do.

I love that other guest who maybe (or may) not normally interact with each other do at Disney, its a really special place that brings out the best in most people!:woohoo:
That was another favorite thing to see. Little Miss is so outgoing that she often overwhelms other children and adults won't generally say hi back to her. She was in heaven with all the greetings.

Little Miss is adorable with all the ballroom dancing before dinner! She is so cute! I am really enjoying your TR and again I am excited to follow along!
It was such a special moment. I'm glad DH caught it on film.

Great update! It was fun looking at your DD's reactions to the characters. I loved how she just lit up with Cinderella. WDW is a magical place, especially when people like the bus driver and the nice college kids who acknowledged Little Miss being royalty. I love that the college kid bowed. So cute!
It really was a magical night!

I know when my own daughter was younger and she was dressed as Cinderella, the bus driver we had announced over the loud speaker on the bus that the people on the bus should be on their best behavior since there was royalty on the bus. He greeted her and made her feel special. She loved the attention!
Awa :lovestruc

Love the dancing video at the GF. Very sweet mommy/daughter moments! :lovestruc (Izzy is also a big fan of spinning :thumbsup2)
I was teary the whole time too! :rotfl:

Aw, so cute! Cinderella must be really working her magic lately, as we had great meets with her too. pixiedust:
::yes:: there must be something about Cinderella these days.

Haha, I understand this - we had several situations back at Aulani that involved cast member restraint of our crying toddler trying to rush characters. :rotfl:

What fun meets you had at dinner! I love the video you got! :rotfl2:
Oh just wait. By the end of the trip it was like releasing the Kracken. The photopass photogs got some great shots.

Another sweet moment! What a great start to your trip after that rough travel day!
::yes::

Your dinner at 1900 Park Fare sounds like so much fun! The character interaction with Anastasia, Drizella and Lady Tremaine is hilarious!! And that moment Little Miss had with Cinderella...too precious!
IT really was a blast!

We've been to 1900 Park Fare for breakfast but never dinner, and now I'm considering it a must do for next time!
It was certainly a favorite of this trip and one we will certainly do again.

BTW, I am in love with the strawbery soup. It's delicious....I could just drink a whole vat.
We loved it too. I found the recipe to make it at home and I am thinking about making it for a bachlorette thing I'm throwing next month for my best friend.

What an awesome night filled with so many sweet moments!
::yes:::wizard:

I love Little Miss's reaction when she saw Cinderella for the first time. I agree that moment's like that make the whole thing totally worth it!
::yes::

Such fun interactions with the step sisters and Lady Tremaine!
THey were a blast!

And how great that Little Miss got so much extra attention in her dress - sweet moments like that are just so Disney!
::yes:: She didn't want to take the princess dresses off! :rotfl:

And my guess is no for rope drop and opening show...we missed quite a few rope drops that I had been planning on last trip!
:rolleyes1

Following!
:dogdance::welcome:

Love reading about your trip.
:thanks:

I'm planning to bring my DS1 for his first trip next year (fingers crossed) :P and he would be two and a half by then.
It really is a great age!

So I last left you as we were getting on the Monorail at Epcot headed to dinner.
Based on the pictures, I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that she enjoyed her first monorail ride... :rolleyes1

I warn you now. DH and I weren’t always great about getting food pictures this trip.
That's fine. I never take food pictures. I'm more focused on stuffing my face.

Little Miss is a total fan girl for Cinderella. Her whole body shook and her knees gave out when Little Miss saw her.
That. Is. Awesome!!!

Letting Little Miss sit in the easy access spot was totally NOT going to work and to prevent her from charging at Cinderella we had to move her to the booth with DH. Even still he had to physically restrain her a few times.
:rotfl: I'm glad she was so excited. That had to feel great to see that!

Little Miss was in love instantly. It was such a sweet Meet and Greet. As she walked away DH and I looked at each other and said, “Our whole trip was worth it for that moment alone.”
::yes:: Totally!!!!

Next to the table came Lady Tremaine. We talked a bit about getting Little Miss to do the chores and then she went to sign the autograph book, and well, it’s best to let the video speak for itself. :rotfl:
I don't know if it is just me or not, but I can't see your videos. Could be the firewall here at work though.

If this was how she reacted to Cinderella, we couldn’t WAIT till she met her Favorite characters!
No kidding! I just hope that her excitement continued through the rest of the trip.

This is when Little Miss got her first glimpse of Cinderella’s castle. Her face lit up in amazement and then said, “ That’s… Mommy is that?... Cinrera’s Castle!” She just couldn’t believe her eyes.
:goodvibes Always a great moment!

The bus we ended up grabbing back wasn’t that crowded and as we were getting on the bus driver looked at Little Miss and said, “Hello Princess!” and Little Miss just beamed! She loved all the people calling out to her and greeting her and calling her princess. As we were getting off the bus the bus driver pulled out a box of rings plastic rings and gave one to Little Miss. She gave the biggest smile and showed that thing off!
First day, and already you've had so many magical moments!

Unfortunately they didn’t have any but we were able to grab some milk and oj and while we were checking out a cm saw Little Miss and her Ring and said that she needed a necklace to go with it and gave her some mardi gras beads. She LOVED This!!!
And they just continue!

On our way back to the room we passed a group of college age kids and one of the guys saw Little Miss and made a big show of exclaiming that they were passing royalty and as we passed gave Little Miss a dramatic bow and said “Good evening your majesty!” It really was too cute for words!
And even the other guests are getting in on the action!!! Wow! Definitely a great first evening. Totally makes up for the difficult ride.

~Do we make Rope Drop the next morning and if so Do we get to see the welcome show?
I'm going to sadly say no. But based on prior comments about the bus service. I don't think it will be because you guys aren't up and ready.

Based on the pictures, I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that she enjoyed her first monorail ride... :rolleyes1
Gee what gave you that idea? :rotfl:

That's fine. I never take food pictures. I'm more focused on stuffing my face.
By the time you get everyone settled at the table most times its just too hectic to get a picture. I did get a few though. no promises that they were great though. :rotfl:

That. Is. Awesome!!!
It was really too cute for words. :rotfl:

:rotfl: I'm glad she was so excited. That had to feel great to see that!
Especially after all the roadblocks to our plans throughout the day.

::yes:: Totally!!!!
It was also a bit of stress relief. It didn't matter if all our plans failed after this. Getting to see her eyes light up with the magic was worth it all.

I don't know if it is just me or not, but I can't see your videos. Could be the firewall here at work though.
Hmmm, I don't do anything special. Disboards changes youtube links into imbeded videos. Maybe try right clicking and selecting open link in a new tab?

No kidding! I just hope that her excitement continued through the rest of the trip.
You'll see. :rolleyes1

:goodvibes Always a great moment!
It was so sweet, the fact that she had to ask me if she was really seeing what she thought she was seeing. Total magic! ::yes::

First day, and already you've had so many magical moments!
::yes::

And they just continue!
And so did the tears I assure you! ::yes::

And even the other guests are getting in on the action!!! Wow! Definitely a great first evening. Totally makes up for the difficult ride.
Pretty much what DH and I were thinking! ::yes::

I'm going to sadly say no. But based on prior comments about the bus service. I don't think it will be because you guys aren't up and ready.
:rolleyes1

Ahh...first monorail ride of the trip - nothing like it!!!

I love your happy cry count:laughing: I always think I'm going to cry the most on the first day by default but...no the happy tears go on every day for the whole trip...

That video of your and your daughter dancing is absolutely precious:goodvibes! And is that "You Make Me Feel So Young" playing? Even more perfect!

Ohmygosh I loved that Lady Tremaine interaction:rotfl:Just amazing!

You guys are having SO many awesome moments and it's just night one! I had a sneaking suspicion that your rough morning would all but disappear after you arrived:goodvibes

Just a quick note to ask that you please keep my family in your prayers this week. We've gotten some news that is worrying and the potential to be very sad. :(

Note.... If you have followed over from facebook and know me and my family personally, please respect the fact that this news has NOT gone on Facebook for a reason and LET THE FAMILY CONTACT YOU. We don't want to overwhelm the situation. Too many cooks in the kitchen would be the opposite of help right now and there are a lot of people involved as it is. Even I am keeping distance.

Ahh...first monorail ride of the trip - nothing like it!!!
For little miss it was her first Monorail EVER!!

I love your happy cry count:laughing: I always think I'm going to cry the most on the first day by default but...no the happy tears go on every day for the whole trip...
Not sure how accurate it is... I lost track of it pretty quickly! :rotfl:

That video of your and your daughter dancing is absolutely precious:goodvibes! And is that "You Make Me Feel So Young" playing? Even more perfect!
The song that was playing was indeed fitting and special for an array of reasons. ::yes:: :wizard:

Ohmygosh I loved that Lady Tremaine interaction:rotfl:Just amazing!
It really really was! ::yes::

You guys are having SO many awesome moments and it's just night one! I had a sneaking suspicion that your rough morning would all but disappear after you arrived:goodvibes
The Magic of Disney tends to do that doesn't it? ::yes::

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

What a great way to end your day. I'm so glad you enjoyed your meal at 1900 (we've only done breakfast, never dinner). I love the stepsisters and hope to go for dinner one day soon.

Little Miss' reaction when she sees Cinderella is priceless as is her seeing the castle for the first time.

Awe, your little miss is simply precious as Cinderella! Too sweet! What a perfect 1st day for you guys. I was getting teary just reading along on how her knees went week at the first sight of Cinderella. Can't wait to hear what happens next :)

Sending hugs and prayers your way for you and your family!:grouphug:

And for those keeping track my happy cry count for the day was currently at about 5 or 6
:goodvibes Disney is just so amazing with a little one.

1) Little Miss is a total fan girl for Cinderella. Her whole body shook and her knees gave out when Little Miss saw her.
Awww - that is so cute! I still remember the first time Willow met Cinderella (Willow was 3).

2) Letting Little Miss sit in the easy access spot was totally NOT going to work and to prevent her from charging at Cinderella we had to move her to the booth with DH. Even still he had to physically restrain her a few times.
:rotfl2:

The cuteness!

And if I’m honest he was kind of a dud.
:rotfl2: I guess he wasn't getting by on his personality there!

All he talked about was how he liked the color red.
Riveting! :faint:

When Drizella came to the table and picked up the book to sign it she saw the picture of her and Anastasia next to their sign spots. Well, Drizella decided that Anastasia’s picture had something missing. She then proceeded to draw on glasses, a mustache and chin hair. She had our table and the tables near us cackling with her commentary as she did this. We all loved it.
Hilarious! I love when the Step Family is in full swing - they are so funny!

t was the perfect way to start off our trip and it made DH and I excited for future Meet and Greets.
It really was a great start to the trip! I'm so glad for you.

On our way back to the room we passed a group of college age kids and one of the guys saw Little Miss and made a big show of exclaiming that they were passing royalty and as we passed gave Little Miss a dramatic bow and said “Good evening your majesty!” It really was too cute for words!
All the CM interactions were great, but I LOVE when another guest does something like this - I can't really imagine anywhere else where something like this would happen. So fun!

Just a quick note to ask that you please keep my family in your prayers this week. We've gotten some news that is worrying and the potential to be very sad. :(
I'm so sorry - I hope everything is okay. Your family will be in my thoughts.
