Thoughts and prayers with you during your fertility journey! We traveled that road with Luke and I know how hard it can be.

well, as previously indicated, I am male so my opinion doesn't matter ... though I do stronger agree with the earlier suggestion to wear shoes![]()
I've got a few things in mind I think I just have to get close enough to see what the yoyoing temps will be like.Only thoughts I do have is not sure if you have any light sweaters/cardigans but my wife basically carries one with her at all times - being prepared for restaurants being cold, etc. ... so that could be an idea for you to wear something like that in the morning and then take it off when it gets warmer - especially if you so want to wear tank tops like that cool Beauty and the Beast one![]()
Oh, and thinking of your husband's clothes (and for you and Little Miss) seems like Star Wars is the big thing going on now that they are pushing so if there was ever a time to double-down on Star Wars shirts now would be the time!
Hopefully I can actually remember to get some photos!I think your gray/silver idea for the wedding is great! I think it should make for some nice family pictures and I don't think will be too matchy-matchy just being in the same color range
yeah I head about the character removal too. Most frustrated about the Aurora meet being removed. Little MIss asked about it last time and we were never able to get back there for it. Not sure where else she meets (besides princess meals)I think your extra day sounds great - though I did hear they are removing Pooh and friends from the UK pavilion (not sure on exact dates though)
As for quick service locations in EPCOT - the Fish & Chips in UK is good, there is a great quick service location in Morocco if you like that sort of food. Obviously Sunshine Seasons is great though not sure if you want to head out of World Showcase
Thank you. Word of warning from my experience so far... It would appear that adding a kid to the mix makes the whole fertility drug issue that much harder.Thoughts and prayers with you during your fertility journey! We traveled that road with Luke and I know how hard it can be.![]()
Wow we do?Just caught up on your PTR updates. Hope you get that extra park day for Epcot as a birthday gift! (And what are the odds that you, me, and @TheMaxRebo share a birthday?!)
She's in the 99% for height. I'm just thrilled she still fits in her size 4 stuff. Woo hoo for getting 2 more seasons out of her clothes!I can't believe how tall Little Miss is - that's great, especially if you get to Epcot. Izzy is still an inch or so shy of the big 40".
Good thinking to do your character meal on a non-park day. As you said, takes off pressure to meet characters during park time and a nice way to extend the magic. Plans are looking good!
What? What meals? We're just drinking tap water and getting drinks from Club Cool. This will not cost us an extra penny for food.Pro tip of the day..... When loosly making plans for a hoped for day so that you can give DH a better estimation on overall costs should he decide to buy an extra day of tickets for your birthday.... Don't forget to be sure that you have meals scheduled into your plans! LOL![]()

I'm a big fan of La Cantina de San Angel. I love the nachos and they are definitely a substantial meal. We're on the quick service plan. I'm actually kind of stumped on which place would be the best for a qs plan. Suggestions?

I know everybody else is saying fish & chips, but I just wanted to throw this one out there, because it is definitely an every trip meal for us.
Wow, that's is kinda cool! Guess Feb 21st is a very special day then! Though my eldest's birthday is Feb 19th, so I don't really get a birthday any more![]()
Yeah I'm sure my mom feels that way a bit. Her bday is the day after Little Miss's. For the last 3 birthdays she has shared a bday celebration with Little Miss.
{At least I never forget my mother's bday anymore!}
or how I always knew my parents wedding anniversary as it was 9 months to the day before my birthday![]()
Yeah we want as much rest as possible before we leave.as for the reveal, I think your idea to do it at a rest stop is a good one - I agree that doing it the night before will just get her too excited
Ooo I kind of like that.Perhaps you could take her into the rest room with you for a potty break and have your husband plant ears or something in her seat to come back to
(BTW - fully agree with him to eliminate anything that involves "glitter" - that stuff sticks around longer than sand!)
You probably could. Depends how hungry you are. I've downed a whole serving of nachos basically as an Illuminations viewing snack before, but this last trip, DW and I each ordered them for dinner and neither of us could finish the whole thing. I think you could probably get by on nachos and then a couple of snacks unless you're really hungry. If I used one credit for Nachos and then a snack credit or two throughout the world showcase would that be substantial enough for a full meal for the 3 of us?
A) Too High a risk of causing a Car Sick issue
B) it’s a tad unreasonable to expect a 3year old to keep a blind fold on for 20-30 minutes. It’s a shame too because I can just imagine how much her head would explode with that one. It would have been such an awesome reveal too.
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Plan Tink: This one involves doing something along the lines of leaving the magic bands in her car seat and sprinkling “pixie dust” {i.e. glitter} in a trail from her seat through the window and on the ground a bit. Shocker of shockers {I really can’t blame him on this one} DH isn’t a big fan of this idea. His biggest and very valid concern is the glitter getting into places it really shouldn’t and causing mechanical issues later. He has offered a few compromises for this plan but overall we are leaning toward this plan being just too convoluted.
Not bad...Plan Mouse Ears: I keep our Mouse ears in my backpack and step away to go potty or something for a minute. (Problem here will be if she insists on joining me lol) and then putting mine on and coming back to the table and waiting till she notices and then tell her.
Ok, I like this one.Plan Gift: Wrap the Magicbands box. Once we are ready to get back to the car let her know that we aren’t staying at the hotel with Nana and Grandad anyways and that Mommy and Daddy have a surprise for her. At this point we would pass over the present and let her open it and figure out what it means.
Forget about the damn glitter!!!!!!!!Plan Ears and Tink: Slap the ears on wait till she notices tell her and then go to get in the car to find that “Tinkerbelle” has dropped off our Magic Bands. Of course there will still be "Pixie Dust" left behind.

And don't forget...
C) We'd spend the whole day being interrogated by Disney Security answering why we were bringing a blindfolded child into the park.
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NO GLITTER!
NO!!!
NO!!!
NO!!!
Not bad...
Ok, I like this one.
Forget about the damn glitter!!!!!!!!
What if you put glitter in a card from Tink and have her open it outside the car? That way you get your glitter without the mess. You can then have her open the gift of magic bands or whatever you decide to wrap.
I have very strongly shot this down because I feel this is too abrupt and there is no way to catch the reveal on video.
I had a grand Idea to blindfold Little Miss about 30 minutes out and drive straight to Epcot and lift the blindfold once we are in the park. DH has very logically shot this down with a few points… A) Too High a risk of causing a Car Sick issue B) it’s a tad unreasonable to expect a 3year old to keep a blind fold on for 20-30 minutes.
We briefly considered doing a Disney dinner the night before we left and telling her then. However we felt that would cause too much risk of her not getting a good night’s sleep and would be too excited to sleep in the car in the morning.
As you can see. The most DH and I have narrowed down is the when to reveal. (At the rest stop at some point.) Beyond that we can’t figure out what to do. Ideas and suggestions appreciated.
I can only imagine...DisDads unite against the glitter huh?

DH has a term for it but I am not sure its family friendly!

He actually makes a good point... You might just want to focus on where you're going rather than where you're not going.I think I like the Plan Gift the best. But (and you know your kid best) I might not mention that part about not staying with Nana & Grandad. Sometimes they focus on the weirdest things. Instead of excitement, you might get tears. "But I want to stay with Nana & Grandad!"
Abrupt is often not that great with wee ones.
Sigh... I suppose...A and B seem like really good reasons not to go this route.
My head is starting to hurt.

I guess I can wait till she asks where Nana and Grandad are staying...He actually makes a good point... You might just want to focus on where you're going rather than where you're not going.
I really like the Tink idea, but I would just put the glitter leading to the car....
