Adorable Doc dress! Very smart using the bribery tactics! Little Miss was at such a perfect age for all the sweet character interactions.

I'm not a big fan of H & V either. The characters are great, but the food leaves something to be desired.

I'll go with the popular guess here and say Toy Story Mania and you meet Buzz, Woody and the green army men.

Wow that was an early morning ADR! I'd love to experience such an empty park one day...I just have to haul myself out of bed that early!
Little Miss's Doc McStuffins dress is really cute! I'm glad you conned her into changing outfits. She'll look back one day and say, wow mom, I'm so glad I met Doc McStuffins in my matching outfit!

What was the food like at breakfast? Was there anything that H and V had at breakfast that was unique? Like how Crystal Palace has that puffy french toast? I only ate at H and V once on this trip and it was for the Jedi Mickey, so it's a little different from their every day buffet. I definitely think DHS needs to have more breakfast options because nothing really compels me to get to that park early enough to eat.

I want to say you went to the Animation Courtyard and met...Baymax, Minnie, and Mickey?

Love Little Miss's Doc outfit. Did you make that??? My daughter would love it. She was doc for Halloween 2 years ago and is still stuffing herself into the costume to give us all check-ups

I'm with ya on Hollywood and Vine being overpriced and not that good. We did it for Doc twice, but thankfully now she is meeting outside the restaurant so we can pass in the future.

I love Little Miss's Doc McStuffins Dress -- simply adorable -- and I've never seen one like that before. Great find!

You can see why I pushed so hard to get her in it. I knew it would make for the better pictures.

I definitely agree with the food & character experience at Hollywood & Vine, the food is mediocre and pricey, plus our character interaction felt very rushed when we were there for a Star Wars themed dinner. I likened it to what speed dating must be like, or in this case -- speed character meet n' greets. It would be great if they could slow the pace a tad; DH had missed 2 characters when he stepped away from our table for his initial helping.

Speed Dating seems like an adapt description.

I hope so! I'm in the process of putting together a photobook with the TR in it. It will certainly be a good reminder for her in the future.

Nothing really special. I remember the grits being good, but I didn't try them at any other breakfast because I really wasn't supposed to be eating them yet due to my oral surgery pre trip. I just forgot and didn't remember till after eating a bowl and a half.

Nope found it at Costco last year with the other halloween costumes. It was a favorite of the ones that I grabbed.

I'd say the answer to that is relative to how hard the bonus question ends up being. I'm more lenient when everyone is missing the answer.

I had fun planing out her outfits. much strategy was had with those. A spreadsheet might have even been involved.

While the interaction was kind of cute and Little Miss did enjoy herself, the food was mediocre at best and at times didn't even live up to my extremely low expectations for it. For $68.49 (remember Little Miss was Free) I am not 100% sure the value is there. That being said I still might give it another chance next trip depending on how things shake out.

I actually enjoyed this character breakfast over the one we had at Tusker House. While the characters at TH were great, I thought the food was not good at all. I found more of a normal selection at H&V and would definitely go again. I guess it's really hit or miss with most of these places.

Quickly we decide that we would rather walk from the French quarter back to our room then deal with the confusion and chaos of this line and hop on the practically empty bus.

Good plan

FINALLY around 2 hours later we made it to the room only to open the door and discover it wasn’t cool inside the room.

YUCK! That's a good way to ruin an afternoon break.

Once again just as Little Miss starts to fall asleep we get a knock on the door. This time it’s a pair of Maintenance men with a completely new a/c unit. They switch out the unit fiddle more with the switch and stay just long enough to ensure that Little Miss will be getting no nap in today.

Wow. Just a miserable afternoon. Sorry that nothing worked out in your favor.

No matter what I do or explain to her, no matter what DH does or explains to her she WILL NOT put on anything else but her Sofia dress. We even had a minor issue with the pull up because it had Doc on it instead of Sofia.

Well, she's going to meet Sofia too...

As we were pulling out of POR DH and I notice that the bus is playing Hedwig’s Theme from Harry Potter. While I love Harry Potter, DH and I just find it a little ballsy and odd that Disney would put that in the loop of music for HS.

That's funny! I never would have caught it though.

I checked with DH and it wasn't even 8:30 yet. With only Sofia left, I told him to Hurry up and finish so that we could make it to rope drop.

I'd agree with that. Although I'm not sure there are any character meals that are a value. You're really paying for a chance to meet the characters without standing in line. It is fun, the kids love it, so I guess it worth it for that.
