With the little one, that's awful you had such bus issues. The only time I've ever stayed at POR, we had very similar problems with the transportation. It was bad enough that I would never stay there again. We never had those issues at POFQ.

What did you try at Wolfgang Puck Express? I love the pizza there, but was disappointed with the meatloaf that gets rave reviews.

I'll guess DHS with an adr at Hollywood & Vine. As far as the song on the bus, I have no idea. I'll make a completely random guess and say one of the songs from Fifty Shades of Grey, Earned It or Love Me Like You Do. That would be a bit shocking and confusing.

Oh wait...I'm confused...so you mean you didn't get to try them at all?? I will definitely let you know if they are worth the fuss I have tried beignets in New Orleans but nowhere else...so my expectations may be high...I hope Disney delivers

Oral surgery before your trip! Ugh, I have literally felt your pain, I did that before a trip...to Costa Rica. Where they serve rice at every meal. (I had already put it off because of an interview and had the same procedure done on the other side with no problems, so I figured it would be fine). Wrong. I got dry sockets. It was the worst!

I think the problem is the South Depot. This isn't the last of the issues and a manager explained some stuff that makes sense but makes me not want to stay there again.

I'm not 100% sure I remember. I could have sworn we took food pictures but they weren't there when I went to put the post together. I know that Little Miss went with Mac and CHeese, and I am pretty sure I went with the alfredo because my mouth was hurting me a little and I needed something on the softer side for dinner.

I like your misplaced optimism. I've been in October, its still Hot. Not much different than May actually.

Yeah, if you go back and read through the end of my PTR you'll see the drama that caused. My back tooth shattered about 10 days before we left. I had surgery at 9 days. I didn't even get cleared for hot foods until the afternoon before we left. It was.... FUN to say the least.

we were now an hour later leaving the park than we had intended in our initial plans.

Ugh, this sounds familiar.

After making it out of the park we make our way to the bus stop and notice that the line has spilled out of the queue and is stretching past it.

Naturally, when you're running behind, that's the time for transportation nightmares.

Quickly we decide that we would rather walk from the French quarter back to our room then deal with the confusion and chaos of this line and hop on the practically empty bus.

We did this once or twice when we stayed at POR (5 years ago) - but we walked back and were staying in the building closest to POFQ, so it wasn't bad at all.

DH calls down to maintenance and has them send someone up however they inform us that there are now motion sensors in the rooms that will not allow the a/c to run if it doesn’t detect movement in the room.

Well, that just sounds terrible.

They switch out the unit fiddle more with the switch and stay just long enough to ensure that Little Miss will be getting no nap in today.

5pm rolls around Little Miss has still had no nap and is now extremely fussy. A nap is just out of the equation at this point. The idea of touring a park with her in this state is not a great one. Extremely reluctantly on my part it is decided that we will have to skip going to our evening park tonight and shift it to tomorrow night therefore throwing out our chance to meet up with @cajunfan for the next night.

Sorry to hear you had to change things up, due to crabby nap-lacking toddler. Happened to us too. Hope the next day goes better.

It really really is. And the biggest reason we wouldn't choose to stay at POR again. I don't know that that feature is how the other resorts are run but for the money we are paying I should be able to get a nice cool nights sleep. THat NEVER happened.

It was like a comedy of errors.

I'm going to say your next park is Epcot (just because I feel like going against the crowd). You have an ADR at Akershus, and Superman music was playing on the bus (we heard it once or twice on our buses and it confused us too)

While riding the bus we remember that we won’t have to walk because the boat takes people to POR as well.

Better plan.
I know it too a while, but we loved taking the boat to DTD/POFQ from POR.

We also were too hot and tired to stop to try the infamous Beignets in the food court.

Haven't done that either.
Maybe some day.

Wow two hours! We always have a car when we travel to WDW, I feel for everyone who has to depend on WDW tranportation. Love how you used the Mickie ears to keep little misses hair out of her eyes, sweet pictures with her parents too!!
Are you heading to Animal Kingdom to the Tusker House ADR? And as for a song that was playing on the bus , Star Wars theme song? Lol can't wait to hear what it was!!

We had our car (We drove down) but the Car seat was still out of commision at this time and so it wasn't a practical option.

We did for the most part. However there were enough melt downs from Little Miss that it was made apparent that we had made the right call.

My sister loves WPE, I think it's good but not at awesome as everyone else seems to think. But I'd be willing to give it a try again.

I feel the same way. If I hadn't needed something soft to eat we would have been just fine with EOS.
