Are you going to also post this on the Riviera sales thread? I just happened on this one but there are many of us who watch the other.

Thanks again for your efforts!

Very interesting. For Disney this is almost NO sales. However, I don't think you can draw any long term information from this. With COVID and the parks being closed and the job loss and the economy and the insecurity about what is happening, you would expect DVC Direct Sales to be hit hard. DVC Resales to be hit a bit less hard. And neither of them will improve much until the parks are open and approaching capacity again, and people are reporting being Happy Happy Happy. Don't expect that to happen before an EFFECTIVE vaccine is proven AND AVAILABLE.

Thanks for putting this together.
In addition to RVA, it will be interesting to seen how much sold out resort inventory DVD has before they need to ROFR

Be interesting to see if this spurs additional incentives or they roll with it and just keep most of DVC sales furloughed.

12000 Riviera across maybe 70 contracts. Maybe 15000 points total. I am very interested to see if the itty bitty incentives on OKW, SSR, AKV, BLT and Poly were enough to spur any additional sales.

Just looked it up from the 16th to the 31st:

Riviera had 19 newly recorded deeds sold in June/July for 2,655 points since July 16th. There was an additional 16 deed from February and March that were just recorded as well but I excluded those since those don't tell the story of the current situation.

Copper Creek had 6 newly recorded deeds sold in June/July for 810 points since July 16th. There was an additional 4 deeds from February and March were just recorded as with Rivera I excluded these.

Source was the Comptroller site manually reviewing documents and adding up points.

The remainder I didn't manually check so some of these contracts may be from February/March like RIV and CCV were, these number may be off by 1 contract as only pulled an all up list and looked for them:
AKV 5
BLT 5
BCV 2
SSR 6
OKW 3
VGF 3
POLY 1
BWV 1

If you wish to check yourself you can:
  • Go to comptroller site: http://or.occompt.com/recorder/eagleweb/docSearch.jsp
  • Date whatever range you would like
  • Grantor "Disney Vacation"
  • Advanced tab
  • Legal remark (you can enter in Copper or Riviera ect to filter to a specific resort only if you choose)
  • Search
  • In blue header bar you will see "add all to my images" click this (go to next page if there is one and repeat until you get all pages)
  • Left hand side you will see "My Images" scroll to bottom and Download
  • This will give you a PDF to scroll through checking resort and points sold
