Drama....ah drama.
I'm new here. I don't have any real loyalty or ties to anyone except my best friend Joe, who pointed me at the DISboards to help me get into the spirit for our trip to WDW.
So, no agenda, no hidden meanings, no old grudges. Nothing.
However I do have something to say. And I actually expect to make people angry with me by saying it. It's the truth though, and it needs said. So everyone will just have to deal with it; because like it or not, it's the truth.
We're all here on the singles section of the DISboards for one reason; whatever is going on, we've got something that's kept us from having companionship in our lives, or we've found someone here and want to support our friends.
That's a common thread that binds us. The other is our love for things Disney. And looking at the overall membership numbers and post count, that's a pretty impressive love.
And we're all adults, despite the fact Disney brings out our inner child. We should all act with the sort of manners and restraint that that status entails. We should easily be able to get along, or failing that, simply refuse to interact with people we disagree with unless they address us directly. And if and when they do, we should be able to be polite.
Why should we make the effort? Because believe it or not, to some degree, we're emissaries of Walt's dream and we should act like it.
Edit: No, I'm not taking sides. This is a Zero-Tolerance statement, targeted at everyone.
