ª"˜ª¤.¸Official Team May 2014 Thread!¸.¤ª˜"ª

Hello all!

First time posing on the boards but you have no idea how much help you all were for my last trip in October 2012!

Have been trying to get back ever since and just booked for May 3-9, 2014 at POP yesterday!

I will be running the Expedition Everest 5k (first runDisney event!) and couldn't be more excited.

Looking forward to celebrating our upcoming trips with all of you!

Hello, May DISers! We will be at WDW for one night before our cruise in May. Location to be determined, but it will definitely be something we haven't tried before. We won't book until room-only discounts are released, so it's going to be awhile! :crazy2:

May 15th-16th: WDW TBD
May 16th-19th: Disney Magic

After much thought and contemplation, we are changing our dates. Can you update our stay to reflect May 21-June 1.

Waiting for room discounts is worth it. You know what you could do is go ahead and book at a value resort and switch resorts when the discount comes out. Just an idea. Added you to the still planning section :thumbsup2

hehe no worries. I thinks its not normal to switch something after initially booking a WDW trip. Change made.pirate:

Thanks for adding me. If I get too antsy, I may have to do that. I'll try to be patient and holdout, though! :)

8-15 May for me, staying at WL :cool1:

May is my favorite time to go, although my last couple of trips have been in November and December so I'm looking forward to returning and seeing the beautiful flower festival at Epcot.

And the hubby just said the most magical words to me... "Honey, you can go ahead and plan another Disney trip!" So it's official... we're going back in May! Because of course you can't say those words to me and take it back ;)

Now just gotta figure out the dates because my DH told my MIL this weekend that he was going to let me plan another trip and she said, "Great! Well, you have to let me know when you're going because if you don't we're just going to show up there anyways!" So looks like the in laws are on board with the trip too! Maybe we'll finally get a Disney date night this time... :flower3:

Hopefully they'll be on board with the dates I've already picked out in my head! Ha ha!

Our first WL booking. hehe Love that place btw! We walked back to the stables area and got to pet and meet all the horses. Then our youngest got to ride one of Cinderella's horses, Benji.

Note: she was scared, :crazy2:

I also have to say that I agree with you on going at the month of May. We've only been to WDW in the months of Feb, Apr, May, Sept, and Oct. and we love May the best!.

Congrats on finishing up nursing school! It's quite an accomplishment and something wonderful to celebrate! I'm a nurse and can remember my last day of school vividly... such a relief to be done! Then comes boards... good luck with that! What area of nursing are you interested in?

I'm thinking either l&d or surgery. Thanks guys!!!

I've been a L&D nurse for *almost* 9 years! If you choose to go into that area, it's so very rewarding! Helping to bring little lives into this world is amazing every time! Good luck with everything!

Has anybody in here been to WDW over Memorial Day before? Hoping to have a 9-10 night trip, with 1 day being a non-park day. Memorial Day is smack dab in the middle of those days, so I was thinking of making that day our non-park day. Is that a good idea or is there another day during Memorial Day weekend that would be better to take off, like Sunday? Memorial Day is the 26th, which also happens to be our DD's 3rd birthday next year!

If we do Sunday or Memorial Day as our non-park day, I was thinking our plans could be swimming, DTD or mini-golf. We've never done mini-golf there, so do you think it would be ridiculously crowded on Memorial Day?

We were at WDW during Memorial weekend this year. And we were recommended to take that Sunday and Monday off as a resort hopping and rest day. (Note were there for 15 days/14 nights) So fortunately we had the time to take breaks. I talked to one of the security people that week and they said it was hell at MK.

I agree that the worst park to go to on Memorial Day would be MK! It seems crowded no matter what day it is, but weekends and holidays there are really bad.

I heard from several CMs that the park that absorbs crowds the best (aka doesn't feel as crowded) is Epcot, because it's so much larger than the other parks.

So I'd either plan Epcot or plan an off-day for the 26th of May -- which is my 19yo son's birthday, too! :thumbsup2
