We check in to the CBR on May 4. We were thinking about adding a day to the front end of the trip and when I searched hotels on property I was amazed by how little availability there was. I thought we were visiting during a fairly uncrowded time. Is there something going on the beginning of May that I'm not aware of? Or do Disney properties always fill up so much? Thanks for the help- I've been stalking the boards during our whole planning process...happy to come out of hiding now!

Cheerleading Summit is May 3 and 4. The event sponsor uses AS resorts, then PoP, the CBR for travel packages. Word has it there are far more athletes this year than last year. I chose CBR for this event because I thought I might be away from some of the craziness but that may be a contributing factor.

We will be there May 10th-17th at POR.

It's our second trip as a family, third trip together for my DH and I, and my fourth trip to WDW. We've got FP+ and ADR's booked so now all that's left to do is wait, pack, and get on the plane! I can't wait!

Didn't have time to post this morning, but I woke up to an email notification that our magic bands have shipped.

That and the parade fast passes opening up has made this a productive week. I was able to book MSEP for our first night at Disney.

I got Wishes too, but may not keep it based on what I have heard about the viewing spot.

I got a Wishes FP, what's wrong with the viewing spot?

I am at 46 days till we leave and 47 from arriving in Disney. I have printed my envelopes for tips/spending money. My best friend's husband and son were in DC this weekend for a school trip, so we had a slumber party and made 18 shirts. I have most of the stuff for my trip purchased. Still need a few last minute snacks/drinks. I have most of it gathered together in boxes and stuffed (literally) in my bathroom. I will pack on the 20th (my son doesn't know when we are leaving, so I have to do it before he gets out of school for summer. We leave on the 23rd and arrive on the 24th. 27 days for us now I think!! Our magic bands came yesterday!!!! And my MM card too.

I am so excited!!! We will be surprising our kids the day before too so this will be one epic trip

I got a Wishes FP, what's wrong with the viewing spot?

I have read that it is in the Rose Garden. It was described as good, but not optimal. Plenty of poeple have enjoyed it because it isn't crowded with most people trying to watch from in front of the castle. I've read that Tink flies right over your head too. But I also read that there's a tree there that could block some of the fire works. Robo posted a map. It shows the fast pass plus area for MSEP and Wishes. I may try to use his directive instead.

Although I will say on my phone it says "Main Street USA Viewing". I could be wrong, but I haven't really considered the Rose Garden as Main Street since it is between the bridges to other lands. So I'm going to do more research in the time we have left before our trip.

The day we have it, MK is going to be really really busy and I just may want the other fast pass for something else. I also have concerns about being able to move from the MSEP area to the Wishes area remembering how it can be difficult to move after MSEP. That is a night though where they are doing MSEP twice (at 9 and 11) so that might help some.

Used contact paper for the Mickey head and then a spray bottle with bleach in it.

Count me in! I'm heading to Pop Century for my 16th (5th solo) trip on May 28!!

I can't wait!

I had surgery on April 3, and I think a trip to WDW is the medicine I need to get back on my feet!
