ª"˜ª¤.¸Official Team May 2014 Thread!¸.¤ª˜"ª

Changed of plans.....we are staying at Coronado Springs instead of Shades of Green. After budgeting my ADRs last night I decided to see what the Dining plan was comparably. Umm, I actually came out ahead with the dining plan! So I called Disney any got a reservation with the DP. Its a little more in the long run for the room cost but its easier on me traveling solo at 20 weeks pregnant with a 2 & 4 year old.

Wow that's pretty brave - I hope everything goes smoothly and you have a fantastic time :) what dates will you be there? We went up to CSR from ASMu because it saved us money with DDP too! We will be there may 12-26.

We just planned a few trips this year (we just got annual passes) and are going in May, September, and November and then January 2015. Do you guys have a Facebook group?

There are 3 Facebook groups that I know of for May travelers...

1 - Dis-er May 2014
2 - Real Walt Disney World May 2014 Planning Group
3- Walt Disney World May, 2014 Travelers

I have to say the most active one is the second one that I listed.

Yeah the second one has become my FB home :)

Just booked!!:woohoo: May 11-16 at Pop. Myself (Kathy), DD & DS. My 20 year old twins. We are celebrating the conclusion of 2 successful years in college! We are calling it the "halfway there" celebration.

At this point we are planning on driving straight down from Ohio. It shouldn't be too bad with 3 of us trading off driving time. Usually DH goes with us and does all the driving, so this should be interesting ;)

We have never gone in May. Can somebody please reassure me that this is a good time to be there...please. I see crowd levels as a 5 and I really hope so.
We have always gone in the fall (early Sept. Oct or the week after Thanksgiving) and never really had any crowd. We did go with the marching band 2 years ago on spring break and it wasn't terrible.

Counting the days........

:cool1:

The stuff I ordered for the children is starting to arrive. I love when Disney trip packages start coming. I ordered dd’s dress for BBB off ebay and it came yesterday. It’s prettier than it was in the photo. It’s an ankle length lilac gown with a butterfly accent in front. I also ordered each of them an autograph book set. It’s a handmade book with a personalized matching bag and pen. Those arrived on Wednesday. I also found dd a really cute Minnie Mouse skirt set on there. It arrived a week ago.

Now I just have to wait for my etsy orders. My dd is graduating from Elementary school so I did splurge a bit more than normal. She's getting to the age where they don't make as much in her size so I ordered her an outfit and some accessories. It's a Minnie Mouse outfit and a personalized matching tank top. I got ds a personalized Mickey head shirt to match.

I also got a deal on a 2nd shirt for dd. Usually those shirts are $16 minimum, but a lady had one already made marked down to $10. Don't know if it was a return or from a customer that cancelled or what. It has "Big Sis" in hot pink and zebra print and will go perfectly with a skirt she wore to AK last summer. I felt so fortunate it was in dd's size. I got ds a shirt with a zebra print Mickey Head to match.

Never been able to shop that much on there before. It was fun. :yay:

We will be there May 9-18 and were there the same time last year.

Weather was fantastic. It rained once the entire time we were there.

The only real crowds we experienced were at HS on SWW Friday. That was horrific. We won't do it again! Otherwise I would say crowd levels were around 5-6 range.

We did experience lots of flies at the parks. Hoping that won't happen again this year.

May is a great time to go! This may be our last May trip for awhile :( as DS starts Kindergarten this fall. Have a great time!

Hi all! Just joining in this thread - we just booked a "last minute" trip for May 16 - 19 to celebrate my birthday! We are staying at AKL and are planning to split most of our time at Epcot and DHS - although we will definitely spend some quality time on our short trip enjoying the resort! Super excited! Never been for SWW!

My 60 day window opened up this morning so I've spent about 90 minutes scheduling all my fastpasses. Took me a bit longer as I have 21 days worth to do, but it let me do my entire vacation not just one day at a time which I was not expecting it to let me do!

Overall I think it was pretty smooth going, a few things that aren't very logical but I figured it out. As a computer nerd I would've welcomed more complexity to make it quicker but they are aiming for simplicity for the masses - it's a fairly good system, aside from if you want to break up the party for only 1 attraction, that was not intuitive. Got everything I wanted exactly when I wanted, happy guy. :thumbsup2

I'm off out now for dinner & I will check in to my hotel tonight. All that's left to do is pack & go! :cool1:

59 days for me today! I booked all our FP+ options yesterday and had no problems. Now if the tickets would all link properly . . .

Where did you get your tickets from that you are having a hard time getting them to link? So you were able to do your fast passes even though your tickets aren't properly linked?

My tickets are from Undercover Tourist. I scanned them with the iPhone app and it said they were all linked, but when I go to MDE from my computer is says only two are linked.
It's not even consistent about which two they are-on the "My reservations" page it only lists my mom's and mine, but on the 'family and friends' pages it says both my parent's are linked but not mine. :confused3
And yes, it let me make FP+ selections for all three of us without a hitch. :confused3
