The reservation number can be found in your Mickey Mail. It's a string of numbers, no letters, that is next to the barcodes that get scanned by DME. It should be the same number for everyone in the party. I got mine booked for 8/18 at 12:10-12:25. You get the choice of picking a time and your food or just the time. I just went with the time. I'm not staying at a MB testing resort either but it took my reservation number and when I logged out and logged back in it was still there. It doesn't show up in MDE and you don't get an email so take note of your time.

Thanks for the info! I have reservation numbers with no letters, but it won't work for me. Very interesting, though!

Ugh...they just closed the Tiki Room again for the month of August! Grrr!!

Oy!! That's one of my favorite attractions!! I was so excited when it was gonna be open... Ah well.

MDE is showing that it was open today (apparently the first day of the "closing") and times are available for all dates up to Aug 17. They release the times Tiki is open 1 week at a time, about 2 weeks prior. Other attractions that we know to be closed show that they have "no times available" and have for some time. It's open... especially with the merchandise that they are pushing because it's the 50th anniversary of the one in DL. I love the Tiki room too and I am looking forward to it! I would be so bummed if it was closed, but it appears to just be another rumor!

WooHoo!!! We are bursting with excitement in this house!! 17 days to go!! When we first decided to extend this trip from a quick one in May to a long one in August, it felt sooooo far away, and now here we are!

I think we are all set. I need to pick up some ziploc bags, a few things from Amazon will be here this week and then we are all set!

Does anyone know, re: airline baggage, how and when do you pre-pay for your bags or do you do it at the airport? I've never actually had to pay for luggage since we always fly JetBlue, but AA was so much cheaper this year, even with the extra fees I went with them and am now realizing I don't know how this works.

And I've officially started collecting stuff to pack. I ordered earmuffs for the kids that will hopefully calm any loud and tense moments. I had to buy DD new bathing suits because she has grown out of her new beginning of summer ones. Got DS flip flops for the first time but underestimated how they would take some getting used to which made for an annoying trip to the pool yesterday. Some trip specific toiletries were purchased and an extra kid leash (oh the humanity!) so now we have one for each of them. Our magic bands are with this stuff now. We have an open house Sunday and then the suitcases are going into the guest room until we leave - sorry realtor!!!

I'd like to get swimmies for the kids but will probably have trouble finding them in the now infiltrated "back to school" north (sad face).

Actually- are swimmies even allowed in the pools? We are at POP.

Thanks! I have to take a break from laundry and packing today to take him for his driver's permit test . I promised him a long time ago that I would take him ON his birthday....

And totally off topic - he's taking some friends to the baseball game tonight to celebrate - go Pirates!!!

I think I've seen kids in the pool with swimmies, and I know there are pool items for sale at the pools we've used, but I've never stayed at Pop, so I'm not sure about those. Maybe you can ask on the Pop board if you can't find them locally. Or order from Amazon lol.

I do not envy you trying to pack with the house on the market! Are you getting a lot of traffic?

Years before I turned 16 I also got the promise that on my exact day we would go for the permit. The consequence of being oldest and living in the boondocks lol. We did go on my birthday
