ª"˜˜ª¤.¸Team August 2013 Thread! (Part 2)¸.¤ª˜˜"ª&#9733

So I just called Disney. I know it varies from CM to CM, but I asked her for those of us who are testing the Magic Bands if we will be getting a KTTW card as well in case our door doesn't open or it doesn't work at the gate and she said no but if there is an issue with the bands, then they will give us a KTTW card. Then I asked her if we will be able to do FP+ and regular FP since we will have our tickets separately and just linking them to the bands and she said no its one or the other. So idk. Idk what to do!! I'm calling back now to ask about Park Hoppers lol

Ok...so I asked the CM who answered about what we would do if we had Park Hoppers and we booked FP+ for the morning say in MK but we wanted to go to Epcot that night, would we be able to use the regular FP system. He said he didn't know so he transferred me to one of the Internet Supervisor people (I guess one of the people who are in charge of answering everyones MB and FP+ questions). Here's what she said (after I apologized because I'm sure she got these questions like 23094820384 time a day lol she said it was no problem because they need these questions and feedback and that's what the test is for):

Upon arrival at our hotel, we will be given a regular KTTW card in case of any problems with the Magic Band. We would go to the park that we booked our FP+ for, use them and say then we headed to like Epcot. We would be able to use the regular FP system but would have to use the KTTW card that was given to us at arrival. If for some reason our Magic Bands don't work, we have the KTTW card and if the bands still don't work, they'll give us the generic grey ones. She asked me if I had any other questions, I said no. She took down my name so she can put my questions into their records so they know what to improve on and I asked if I could give a recommendation lol. She said sure so I said that they really need to up the amount of FP+ you get per day because for people who go often, we kind of have it down to a science and with only 3, it kind of puts a kink in everyone's chain lol. She said she understood and that's another thing they are testing too. So who knows lol. I hope this helps everyone who is doing the testing though! I'm sorry for posting it on here, I'm kind of scared of all the other FP+ boards lol.

I'm not blaming you but this is really upsetting to me because I'm not part of the test and this means that people who are can use both and that seems unfair to me. This test seems really big, unlike the last one which seemed rather small. I'm very concerned now that the volume of FPs has already been reduced due to FP+ and now it will be even further reduced because those folks can also pull regular FPs. I'm really worried!!!

I'm worried about this too! It's hard enough to get some of the Fp's as it is so then reduce that by the magic band testers who also get to pull regular FP's too...They then get double fp's and the rest of us have a hard time getting the one!

It will be interesting to see how this will impact our touring strategy this time as we are not testers and also will determine if we return to the world next year or try something totally different!

I am worried about this too. I think they should have only given bands to those with packages, not separate tickets and not give KTTW cards. The whole point in a true test and feedback is to do it the way it is going to be. I would LOVE the bands if I could double up on FP's but I would give better feedback for the true use if I can ONLY use the scheduled FP's.

My guess is the CM's by the fast pass machines will be told to keep an eye out for bands.

I sat down to re-organize my Disney catch-all bag tonight because it was overflowing! Just for fun, I took a pic of everything I've got so far. I have not bought ponchos yet. I might wait until we get to Disney.

I pretty much ONLY have my ponchos ready, so between us I think we're ready! (;

I'm sorry if I upset anyone :worried: It wasn't my intention. People who are testing the Magic Bands definitely cannot get regular FP at the parks that they got the FP+ for. So, say I booked my FP+ for Magic Kingdom, there is no way for you to get regular FP. The KTTW card won't work in the regular FP machines in MK that day. It will work if you go to Epcot, AK, or HS and did not book any FP+ there that day. Plus, I'm sure there will be CM's there to monitor everything. I hope this helped! Sorry again for causing worry!

It's not you that's upsetting anyone, it's Disney. I really doubt that your KTTW card is going to be somehow coded to know which park you used for FP+. During the last test when the guests were also given KTTW cards they could use both simultaneously. It's nice that you might only use your card for your 2nd/3rd park of the day but I don't think everyone will do that. Again, please don't think it's you who is upsetting us, it's really really not!! I have a lot on the line for this vacation, we're spending more than we really should so if it's less than I want it to be I'm going to be even more upset. But it's still not you, it's Disney!

Thanks for your response. :) I don't blame you! From what I've read on the other FP+ threads, the MB will have the RFID chip in it that will be able to read what you've used the MB on and what you've used the KTTW card on and somehow in the magical world of technology (lol), will stop you from getting a FP. I'm not sure how but I'm sure after the last test, they know to look for people trying to do both. I hope everything works out!

Well, it's good to know that someone thinks the systems will be somehow connected. I think I'm going to call tomorrow and see what I'm told. I'll be sure to post the info here. I unsubbed from the FP+ threads because it was making me crazy and I'm not part of the test.

Yea, let me know what they say. Ask the CM to transfer you to one of the IT people working with it. I'm curious to see if they say the same thing or something completely different like I've seen on the FP+ boards. I can't go on them lol it's all too much

You didn't upset us! It's disney lol!

Does anyone know the current fridge situation? Specifically for CBR? I've called 3 times and gotten 3 different answers. We are driving and could take our own small fridge or cooler, but would prefer not to!

So I'm stealing this from another post on the Theme Parks page, but QOTD!!

What is your favorite Photopass picture taken?

This is mine from when we got engaged in 2009

This was taken in 2007. I love it. I have another that I'll post once I find it too. That kid. I don't know about him. He's 7 now. I can't wait.

We'd like to know this too, we're placing a GG order and I'd buy yogurt and cheese if we have a fridge!
