Yes, bell services will transfer your luggage. We have done several split stays. You will just need to tell them where your luggage is going, and they will deliver it there. Sometimes it doesn't show up until later in the day though.

Its a BEAUTIFUL day here in St. Louis--hot but we can handle it. The reason it is so good is that Josh did REALLY good with his treatment last night. NO side effects at ALL and he slept comfortably all night. Due to an increase in steroids, he's ravenously hungry, but that's ok. We can handle that! Doctor said that if he continues to tolerate the treatment this well, we WILL be able to go to Disney in 11 days!! So, to celebrate, we are watching Pirates of the Caribbean and talking about vacation!!! Then, to top it ALL off, I read that they have postponed refurb of the Tiki Room!! Its not like that would make or break our vacation, but its nice to know it will be open!!!

THANK YOU, ALL of you, for the prayers, happy thoughts, and Pixie Dust!! I KNOW that's why Josh is doing so well!! If it weren't for our friends being so thoughtful and positive, it would be a hard road for us!!!

Still having WDW Touring shoe problems...
So, I have looked at these Sketcher's GoWalks online:

But already bought these Merrells:

Do I risk the online purchase of having to mail them back if they don't fit, AND having to drive a half hour to return the Merrells if I like the GoWalks better?

I bought go walks. I loved them at first. Now the weather is warmer, my feet swell in the afternoon and they are uncomfortable.

Chickened out of Daytona-- figured we could do a drive through for the track tour for DH. Booked 2 nights at Hilton Garden Inn North International Drive for pool/leisure time before we check into Pop for a week!

Might end up being a better decision. I heard on the radio that the track is torn up, they're tearing down the backstretch seating and completely redoing the front stretch seating. Might not be a great time to do the tour.

It just looked like old school beach resort / Beach Boys era town when I was reading more about it on Trip Advisor. And cars driving on the beach with my LOs = drawback.

Don't know about arch support, but those GoWalks are CUTE! I need another pair of walking shoes, also. I love, love, love my Teva Mush Frios, but they have evidently been discontinued. I'm going to a shoe store in NC next week to see what I can find there.

I know right? Sooo Cute! The Teva Mary Janes are cute, did you get those? I can't fit in most Mary Jane straps - I have a high instep.

I can't stand anything on the top of my foot either. My feet swell really badly too so I need room. That was one of the things I didn't like about the Go-walks, even though they're ballet slipper looking, they were getting tight across my toes pretty quickly. I've been walking about 2.5 miles a night in the straps with the crocs and having NO pain... for me that's huge! We're going to bump up by about a mile starting tomorrow if it doesn't rain in the evening. Good luck finding something that will fit the bill for you.

Thanks for the heads up. I need a shoe that fits but gives room too KWIM? My feet don't tend to swell, but will get hot easily/quickly and sweat.

Yes, my Tevas are Mary Janes. I found some on Amazon, but I wasn't crazy about the color selection. They had black with neon yellow soles, all brown (great for fall, but summer?), and fuchsia. I like pink, but I just don't know if I wear enough of it to have shoes that color.

Funny you should suggest the bandage. I don't want to keep the Merrell sneakers as I don't really want anything on the top of my feet. That's why ballet slipper style sneakers sounded so good to me. The orthoheels are a really molded soul with a strappy sandal which would keep my feet cool and sweat free. I just bought the Merrells at the end of a long unsuccessfull shopping trip a few weeks ago worried I'd never find anything in time for the trip. Oh and I'd like to buy something I will wear after Disney, unlike the Merrell sneakers which I don't see me wearing ever again.

I just got teva Tierra (I think that is how you spell it) and they are wonderful. They are a strappy adjustable sandal and super comfortable.

Yay! I'm going to pick mine up next week after my anatomy scan when I'm on that side of town. I haven't been to this office, but the one at our last duty station always acted like we were inconveniencing them. One time they were just standing outside smoking, both at the same time, and just had us wait for 15 minutes while they leisurely smoked and chatted. But in the end, off to the happiest place on earth we'll be going!

I have to share this with everyone.

My father just came into my off (he's my boss) and was talking to me about our trip. Keep in mind he's a notorious worry wart when it comes to traveling and vacations.

His biggest thing was letting me know how hot it was going to be down there. This I know because we were there in 2007 around the same time. Yes it's hot, but there are plenty of ways to beat the heat. He kept reminding me that as they get hot, the kids will get 'ornery'. Yeah...I know that one too. 'You should go back to your hotel at lunch and cool off.' Yes dad. That's our plan. Morning at the park then lunch there. Back to the hotel to relax (maybe nap) and then back at it.

His next order of business was to inform me of the speedpasses. Fastpasses, I corrected him. Yes, we will be using those as much as possible too. Heh.

Finally, 'the food there is SO expensive.' We're on a dining plan dad. 'Ah, that's good.'

It really made me smile and laugh inside. I know he means well, but like I said, he worries too much when on vacations.

It was a nice conversation.

That's actually very sweet.

I can't believe I never posted here!

We're going to be at Boardwalk Villas from August 25th until August 31st. It will be my family of 5 (me, DH, 3 children ages 9, 7, 5), my step-dad (we sadly lost my mom over Christmas ), and our wonderful nanny. We are taking the auto train for the first time which should be an action-adventure!
Our ADRs:

8/26 5pm Akershus (I don't know if my DH has a crush on one of the princesses or if we go for my daughter - who is rapidly outgrowing the princesses - or for my youngest son who wants to marry Ariel - but this is a must-do on every trip!)

8/27 6pm Todd English's Bluezoo (my daughter's favorite restaurant at Disney!)
8/28 7:45am Cape May Cafe (DH and dad will be playing golf)
8/28 7:45pm Flying Fish Cafe (date night for me and DH)
8/29 4:25pm Be Our Guest
8/30 5:45pm Garden Grill (our traditional last night dinner)

36 days until we leave for Disney. 37 days until we arrive!

I like my goWalks, but I need my feet out and breathing. I'll probably bring them, but stick with my Teva Mush. I am wearing my goWalks in London. I'll let you know how that goes.

Augh! My TA just got me an ADR for BOG on our last MK day. I almost gave it up (crazy, right?), but our Plaza ADR was for around the same time, and she said the price point wasn't too much different. We were finishing watching BatB when she IM'ed me, so DD is excited. I am too! This saves time I would have spent waiting in line for lunch.
