I have a back pack, in it I am planning to carry: 4 ponchos, 2 water bottles , 1 phone, 2 cameras , snacks, 2 cooling cloths, 1 sun screen, comb, kids hats/my hat when on rides, KTTW card, glow sticks for night, change of clothes for DD7. Will I have space to carry mister fans? Think I have enough already right? Plus God forbid I buy anything lol.
I don't think you will have room for fans, lol! I am going to miss the stroller this year. But each of my kids will have their own cinch sac to carry just their water.
I have 2 possible bags to carry. My camera, video camera-but I won't take them all the time just most of the time. Phone, 1-2 water bottles filled and an extra bottle to split amunst us (we do a mid day break) and that is it. Dh will carry the keys/pH in his wallet.
I haven't used a mister fan yet in Disney. I do have them and my kids used them at six flags but I think it was more the novelty then anything.
I won't carry rain ponchos unless there is a thread of rain.
Isn't that every day in Florida? Especially in August? ;-)
This is why I'm glad we still need a stroller lol.

No stroller for me though because I have no kids...that would look a little weird lol.
Does anyone have a PTR going for their trips? Or is there a place that lists all the PTRs? In our April group we had a list of everyone's PTRs and then started a thread for all the TRs too.I'd love to read along if anyone has one!
(oh, and shameless plug, if you are interested feel free to check out my April TR from our stay at Bay Lake Tower...link is in my signature).![]()
I don't know about everyone else but I'm getting more excited...and nervous by the day. We've done August the past couple years and I'm usually so on the ball by now, usually have ponchos packed, some surprise gifts for the kiddies and things like that. Not this year! Out of nowhere I've had bad anxiety & panic attacks for the past couple weeks and can't figure out why. Now I'm making myself crazy about the flight, I've never loved flying but there's too many placed I want to see to let it hold me back. But the thought of getting on a plane now is pretty scary. I'm also having issues in crowded/confined spaces, great thing to happen before you go to Disney. I'm really trying to put my issues aside a focus on the fact that we'll be having quality family time in Disney.
I'm sorry you are feeling anxious. Try to focus on where the anxiety is truly coming from. It's possible that because in the past you had already gotten things together and because you are behind now you are fearing the trip won't be as good. The fact that there was a plane crash last week is going to up everyone's fears at this point too. Just tell yourself logically it's safer than driving. Sometimes these anxieties are easier to deal with if you can pinpoint the underlying root of the problem. As for crowds, plan some quiet places you can slip off to in the parks ahead of time and know they are there...even if its a first aid station or something like that.

This question was finally posed to me yesterday by my 5 year old! I came through with a big "I don't know... but I'll try to find out!"So I'm looking to my August friends for help...what did you tell your kids when they were still young enough to believe but smart enough to figure out that something was up??! Need help because there's NO WAY I'm letting the magic die even a little bit yet!

They are like Toy Story toys, they can only talk when people leave the parks.![]()
Whenever I get questions like this, I let the child come up with the answer. I'll say, "Hmmm....that's a good question. What do you think?" Usually they come up with their own creative reason, and we leave it at that! It may seem like an easy way out, but I've found that sometimes adults come up with explanations that are more confusing or elaborate than needed. This question was finally posed to me yesterday by my 5 year old! Our Target had some today!
They always have them at sporting goods stores in the camping section where discount stores typically only have them seasonally.
