Did it work??

I didn't want to waste my minutes on my cell so I tried to reserve on the website and it wasn't allowing ressies for the 18th yet. I will be up in the morning on my phone. Hoping as it is a business day and 7am I will not have to wait 35 minutes, not counting on that though.

So far we have planned for:
1900 Park Fare Character Breakfast
BOG dinner
50's Prime Time dinner
Royal Akershu's Character breakfast
Garden Grill Character dinner
Tusker House Character breakfast
Ohana Character Breakfast
The last 3 days will be CS as chosen by the kids.

WE ADDED A DAY WE ADDED A DAY!! I'M SO HAPPY! We had to take two off originally cuz of money concerns but I was recently employed!!! So we felt peace about adding one of our days back!!! I am so excited! AND THEN I booked our flights and we actually got a great deal when I was so scared we weren't! I feel so blessed!!!! We also made our ADR's and we got some great meals to look forward to!
On a totally separate note, I have decided to over come my chickenness and write a trip review with pictures! maybe even some video. I hope that my plan works out and I can share my review with all of my team Aug. buddies!!!

I have been reading on other threads about Dole Whip. Boy was I disapointed when I read it's Pineapple! I am allergic. DH says there are other flavors, anyone know what the other flavors are?

Had to change a few things around this week. Since DH just got a new job, he won't be able to spend the whole week with us , and I don't want to drive the whole way by myself, so we decided to fly. Got a great deal on AirTran, but had to move our dates. So, we're now going Tuesday to Tuesday - 08/13-08/20. Actually, our schedule works out better that way, so I'm very excited

Made dinner ADRs this week for:
8/14 - Crystal Palace (DS12's pick)
8/15 - Cape May Cafe (my pick -DH's not a seafood fan, so this is before he arrives)
8/16 - T-Rex (DS8's pick)
8/17 - O'Hana (DS15's pick)

Spending the first 4 nights at CSR, then moving to Poly CL, so probably not planning anymore table service after 8/17 - with all the food at CL, it's not worth it for us.

Now, how to get through the next 6 months

This is soooooo frustrating! I was able to get Le Cellier this morning a little after 6, but that was my first day. I was not able to get anything past the 180 days. Oh well...on hold now. Here's hoping it's not too long of a wait! Have you gotten through yet?

I'm on hold too, apparently the new website software won't let anyone book anything past 180 days unless you have an I-Pad with the my Disney experience old software. I hate the new hold music, it was much better when they played a bunch of Disney music.

I am on hold, I have the never before annoying Disney "YoHOYoHO a Pirate's Life FOr ME!!" on speaker phone as I try to try to get the @$^@*$# My Disney Experience to move my reservation to the new site and it is saying there is no record of my reservation number!! I agree SOOOO frustrating! I did try another shot at BOG for the 18th and the server was still down.
Their lack of success with this new online project REALLY makes me anxious about the Magic Bands and if they will be out by Aug and if we will have to wear them, if they will work.

OMG!!! I just got a 7:05 @ Kona Cafe online 'cause there was no BOG offered before 9:25pm. THen I looked again and What to my wondering eyes should appear but a 4:25pm @ BOG!!!! WOW, but of course the SERVER WAS DOWN!!!!

We have our flights booked, our dates were pretty firm (Aug 12-22) so we did that a few months ago, but we have not fully decide where to stay. We are leaning towards AoA right now. My question is can I reserve AoA now ($200 i think?) and if we change our minds later can we change the resort, or are we committed to AoA then? Also, is it best to buy the park tickets now as well, or can I get them later? Just wondering if they are cheaper if you buy them with your room reservation, or are they the same on their own.

I thought I was an expert on Disney, but now that I read stuff on this site, I am a total rookie, so much more than I thought!

Welcome! Yes, you can book any resort now and change it later (for packages, once you are within 45 days of your check-in date, change fees will apply). I would recommend adding your tickets now. Although it isn't cheaper, it turns your reservation from a room-only reservation to a Magic Your Way package, which comes with additional benefits (scroll down until you see Walt Disney Travel Company Package Benefits: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/vacation-packages/2013/base.

Today was my 180 day!!! I couldn't book past day one online (tried the iPad too, but no luck). I did call right at 7am and got all the ADRs I wanted!!

Sunday 8/18 - Le Cellier (7:25pm)
Tuesday 8/20 - Tusker House (12:30pm)
Tuesday 8/20 - Sci-Fi (6:30pm)
Wednesday 8/21 - Chef Mickey's (7:10pm) - later than what I wanted
Thursday 8/22 - Cape May (8:40am)
Thursday 8/22 - Raglan Road (7:15pm)
Friday 8/23 - 50's PT (12:30pm)
Friday 8/23 - BOG (8:15pm) - later than I wanted, but happy to get it on my day of choice!
Saturday 8/24 - Kona Cafe (10:15am)
Saturday 8/24 - Ohana (6:30pm)
Sunday 8/25 - HDDR (6:15, Cat. 1)
Monday 8/26 - Saana (5:30pm) - this was actually the most difficult to get - had to go with two tables - will request together when we get there.
Tuesday 8/27 - 1900 Park Fare (9:40am)

I also booked massages at the GF through dining and then was able to call tours and book the WAT. I am happy and relieved! Good luck to everyone else making ADRs today - in another thread I am seeing people being on hold for almost an hour - ugh...come on Disney, fix the website!!

Welcome! Yes, you can change your resort. If you book a MYW package with tickets you leave a $200 deposit and PIF 45 days out. If you book a room only, you leave one night's deposit and can cancel or change up until 7 days before. Then you PIF at the resort. The tickets aren't discounted through Disney unless they come out with a promotion. Otherwise, check out Undercover Tourist or AAA for discounted tickets. Also, you may want to do a search for the ticket increase date. I want to say it's some time in the summer, but I'm not sure on that. If so, you would want to buy them before this year's increase.

I'm sorry you didn't get BOG. Did you try for later in the week? The problem with trying to get it for the 18th is that people have been going for that date for the past 10 days at this point. Either way, keep checking the website - I am willing to be something will open up between now and August!

Lol we added a day also. My reasoning, while I knew it would, backfired on me. I went to book our flight ISP to MCO. We were to travel home on Sunday but it was $320.00 more to travel, instead of Monday. So, I contact DVC to see if I can add Monday to our 2bdrm villa at VWL. Well, we could but I only had 30 points and I needed 14 more, so I had to purchase them. 13 points at $15, over $200 later including taxes, I'm only up $110. Now my cast of characters include a 23 and a 17 boys (boys to me anyway) $110 to feed them and my husband in Disney, yeah I'm back in the red

Hey its me, you're flakey little TeamAugust cheerleader. I have NO plans yet for going in August again "WHAT?!?!" you say???? I know, I know, but its going to be a rough year for me budget-wise, so not sure if I can even go at all this year

Fear not I will still be around to cheer on my TeamAugust 2013 peeps! and hopefully my luck will change for the better and I can plan on a trip for the end of Summer(insert Disney prayer here)

Anyway, I'll be around checking on you guys and living vicariously thru YOU!!
