If I had a daughter, I would definitely let her do it!! Just tell the TSA it's Pixie Dust!! pixiedust:

It's less the TSA and more anyone who sits in her seat after her. I mean, I LOVE walking around with my rear end sparkling, but I'm not sure everyone else on American will share in our enthusiasm! :lmao:

Spending the day working out the details! Stroller rental, airport parking reservations, Garden Grocer list.... It's making me kind of glad we still have over 100 days to go!

DD wants to wear her princess dress at the airport. We're bringing 2 anyways (Cinderella for CRT and either Snow White or Belle for Akershus) so it would save room in the suitcase if she was already wearing it :rotfl: but do you all think it's okay to wear in the airport? I guess my main concern is leaving that trail of glitter across half the United States.

We were planning on letting ours wear hers! 6 am flight w/a transfer. Should be exciting!

TOTALLY understand this!!! Congratulations on your 90 day mark and happy thoughts that the year will get better for you!!

+ 1 :thumbsup2 .

Geez, my fanny hasn't sparkled in a couple of decades. You mean all I needed was a princess dress!?!? :rotfl2:

I would totally let her wear it. The world needs more magic! pixiedust:

Well I'm wearing mine so I think she should get to wear hers;)

Kidding.. but absolutely she should wear it!!! I wish my ds was still young enough that he thought nothing of going out in a superhero cape from his Halloween costume:)

I doubt my daughters will want to wear princess dresses at all, but better in the airport/plane then in the high heat and humidity of the parks.

I thought my DD was out of the princess stage and that she wouldn't even want to look at anything princess related. Wrong! She already told me she wants to be dressed as Belle for when she gets he BBB makeover. She doesn't even know we're having dinner at CRT later that night. She told me "mommy once I get my makeover we can just go shopping so my dress and hair don't get ruined on the rides." I don't know how long she'll last though with the heat and humidity but just the fact that she wants to makes me happy. My little girl is still there. :)

My DD2 loves to dress up...but only in her brother's old costumes it seems. As soon as she touches any tulle or similar fabric, she freaks and repeatedly tells me no...last year she barely let me put her Belle dress on her for MNSSHP. Mind you it was the second dress already that we tried. Had to send the first one back. Gorgeous but she sobbed the entire time she had it on. The second one was all cotton and a bit stretchier, etc. so she wasn't quite as opposed to it.

Yes, generally it would require 2 separate reservations. But you can always give them a call, or play around with quotes online, to see if it works out better or worse for you!

So I called and the CM told me that I would have to book a new reservation for the last 4 nights, and shorten the original reservation to 3 nights. And she said they could not guarantee that I would have the same room, though they usually try to keep it that way if possible. So, would this mean I would have to check out of my room at 11 and then wait until 3-4 to check back into the same room?!?

*** gave me a price for POR for the same dates for about $20 cheaper (and all one reservation), but DW likes the look of CBR better. We haven't stayed at either, so have no opinion either way really. This just seems to be much easier then having 2 reservations.

I have never used *** before, anything to be concerned about with them as opposed to just using Disney directly?

Thanks and have a Magical Day!

Would you consider a split stay through Disney at both POR and CBR (or some other combination of resorts)?? That's totally what I would do! I know people have used *** and like them, but I personally have not tried them because I love booking directly with Disney. If you would be required to have two reservations with Disney anyway, I would take the opportunity to explore two resorts! :cheer2:

That's not a bad idea actually. I was more thinking about the pain of having to pack up and move (we are already doing that at the end to spend a few nights at UO). Something to consider though!

It's my understanding that you wouldn't actually vacate the room as long as you were able to stay in the same one. We have the same situation - two ressies so I could take advantage of both discounts - and the CM told me he was noting on the reservation to keep us in the same room. He also said they couldn't guarantee it, but I think that's just in case something extraordinary happened.

My plan is to mention it at check in, and see what they say. If they're not sure at that point, I'll go back early on our "change" day and see what they tell me.

For those of you still looking for a Be Our Guest.. keep checking. I only looked 2 or 3 times and got one this morning for 4:30 on our MK day:cool1:

Might as well list our ADR's for the fun of it. Not too bad considering I made them all in about 15 minutes 3 days ago!

August 25th -Teppan Edo at 6:30
August 26th -Boma at 6:10
August 27th- Be Our Guest at 4:30
August 28th - 1900 Park Fare at 6:00
August 29th -Tutto Italia at 6:00
August 30th - Chef Mickeys at 6:30
August 31st- Ohana at 8:15

I'm pretty pleased. I will be looking to get that Ohana a little earlier but I am just glad I got one at all because it's dh's favourite and the only restaurant we do on every trip. No new restaurants on that list but we like them all. Quite a few buffets but dd is a vegetarian so they offer her more choices and I don't know if we'll be doing the DDP at Christmas so I don't think we'll hit many buffets as they are too expensive when going out of pocket.

I am a little sad because the pincode I got would have covered our December dates as well but I have already rented points and they aren't changeable. It's fine though really because we get to stay at the Wilderness Lodge at Christmas time and if we had used free dining we would have stuck to a mod to save money. It works out in the end.::yes::

ETA) Just did the math. To stay in a Wilderness Lodge Studio with free dining (and having to buy 2 day base tickets) would have been 4795.00
By renting points and purchasing the DDP it's 2800! I'm not sad anymore lol.

We have had 2 Disney vacations where we have taken advantage of one disney deal for the 1st 1/2 of the vacation & then another promotion the 2nd half of the stay. Both times they told us we might have to switch rooms, but never ended up having to (we stayed value both of these times).

This time we booked through *** (1st time using them) due to an awesome deal they offered which is giving us our very 1st deluxe stay! I have been very pleased with them so far. Good luck with your decision!

Since we're arriving a day earlier, of course I'm rethinking my ADR for our first full day. We have never done Chef Mickey's, so we decided it's a must do this time. Right now we have dinner booked at 5:30, but I'm also considering a late breakfast at 11:25. We'll be at MK that day and will be there for RD. Any opinions one way or the other?

Hmm.. tough call. I think it probably depends on when you like to take your breaks. We like to go back to the room and rest for a bit after a CS lunch and then head out for dinner and back to the park. However, if you plan to go all day, I like the idea of breaking for lunch and being able to sit for awhile. I don't know that I'd want to be walking around the parks in August after a buffet during the day.. it's so hot that it's not pleasant to be wandering around stuffed. I think I would vote for dinner.:)

For me, I think 11:25am might be too soon for a break from the parks, so I would probably opt for dinner. We like to push it a little further before leaving the park to eat or take a break. It could depend on what the rest of your day looks like, too, so it's hard to say.... :confused3

No way! That's our MK day too and I've been checking everyday for bog. You're a lucky duck!

Last year I was having real trouble getting a few things I wanted. What ended up happening was I would check the day before on my laptop from our resort room and got everything I had been looking for. For the restaurants with credit card guarantees, people cancel them when they change plans so that they won't be charged. So make sure to look while you are down there if you don't find it beforehand:)

Well, you guys are no help.:goodvibes This is hard. Do you ever wish you could be the clueless first timer again so you didn't have to plan and rethink every decision?

ETA... I'm keeping dinner, and vowing to no longer look at the dining reservation portion of the website.

Yes!! Sometimes I want to be a clueless first timer so everything was new again too. I still love it but I was just in awe the first time we took the kids. I'd love that feeling again:)
