Ok, well just booked the RO discount-still bummed about missing FD for the 2nd year in a row!!!

Once the last teenager in the house is out of school, I'll be able to go on vacation whenever I want-and not when the schools tell me to!

Anywhoo, at least Im back officially on the TeamAugust bandwagon....now where'd I put those pom-poms?????

SO understand this!! I only have ONE and school dictates EVERYTHING!! Education is very important, but just once I would like to say "yes, I can switch to September so I too can experience FD!!!" Or, pick up and go in between Halloween and Thanksgiving and not worry about crowd levels. Someday . . . .

I just called and it would be $195 more to stay at Coronodo Springs!! I have to get my mom on the phone and see is she's up for the upgrade. I really wanted to stay at Coronodo Springs so it's making me potentially really happy.
Anyone have any bad reports on Coronodo Springs? Anything? I don't wanna make a bad move here. Heck I can't make the move without my mom's blessing anyway!

I didn't see discounts for the end of August......just free dining for September. On hold for a CM right now. Would love to stay at a mod......

I just got a free dining pin code for the last week of August!!

It actually makes it cheaper to stay onsite than off so Port Orleans French Quarter here we come!

I will list the details of the PIN here so you guys know what to look for and there are two reasons I could have got it. One because I hadn't booked onsite so as far as they knew I wasn't coming and it says "Since you've been here before we wanted to make it easy for you to come back and see us again!"

The other reason I may have got it is I've been pricing out onsite trips the past few days. So don't lose hope.. call and check .. there IS a free dining pin the last week of August out there!

Here are the details..

For arrivals most nights 8/25–10/2/13,
10/18–10/31/13, 11/11–11/23/13,
11/30–12/4/13 and 12/15–12/22/13.

Book by 8/14/13.

It excludes campsites, Little Mermaid rooms and 3 bedroom suites.

My TA got us a great rate for CBR aug 16-29 with 8 day water park fun and more tickets and boardwalk 3 days waterview aug 29 sept 1!!! Sooo excited!

We loved Coronado Springs! We went there right after the refurbishment and it is beautiful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there. The only thing that was lacking, for us, was the food. We didn't care for the Pepper Market, but maybe it's improved since we've been there.

I get SO EXCITED when I see my fellow August DISers getting such good rates and everyone getting excited about their upcoming trip!! We are 83 days out and we are ECSTATIC about it!!! Just thinking that 12 weeks from TODAY we will be AT MAGIC KINGDOM gets me all hyper!!!

We did upgrade from AoA LM room to POR - Royal room. I know we would have loved the theming at AoA but we have only stayed at moderates before so I just didn't have that "warm and fuzzy" feeling about the LM rooms. I felt like we were down-grading even though its still so new. Now that the switch has been made, I feel so much better.

I debated trying the Royal Rooms, particularly so we could get into the mansions. In the end, I decided to roll the dice and see where Disney puts us when we check-in. I'm sure you'll enjoy it, they look so nice!

Hi, I have a question for you experienced folks. I changed from POFQ to POR today for the higher discount, garden view. My TA put in my building preferences, but told me not to do on-line check in as her noted would be erased. Does anyone know if that's true? Thanks.

Hmmm.. I don't know if that's the case. I haven't heard it before. However, if i have specific requests I do like to just do regular check in so that I can ask for what I want if I haven't already been placed there.

Here's a tip for those of you staying at POR. In the Port Orleans Riverside thread on the Resorts board they will tell you exactly how and who to send your requests to at Port Orleans. They are a great bunch of people in that thread and helped me compose a fax and told me who to send it to. I sent it about a week beforehand and they met all my requests. I heard back by email the next day! It isn't guaranteed but if you are polite and nice and aren't asking for some huge upgrade or something they really do try to put you where you like. For example if you have a gardenview and really want the mansions I think they will try their best to accommodate you.
