“IF THIS IS A DREAM, I DON’T WANT TO WAKE UP!” – POP! Goes The Solo Trip **THE END**

ok, that's it. I am fully on board with Wishes O'Clock ... and as an added bonus it makes it easy to say that Celebrate the Magic starts at a quarter to Wishes O'Clock!

Awesome. Now make sure to lay the groundwork when you get there!! :thumbsup2

I agree that Big Thunder is not the biggest thrill, it's just never been a favorite of mine (even though it was my first rollercoaster ever!) but at night it's so much more fun! I rarely even ride it during the day anymore.

OMG! The princesses waving goodbye to everyone!?!??! I have never heard a thing about this but that is ADORABLE! This is why I love reading TRs. As much as I get to go to Disney and have CM friends, there are still things I don't hear about! And that they did their own signature waves. AHHH I love Disney. I am sad I missed this. Oh well! Thanks for the pictures!

I am SO with you on that Lia. I tend to ride it more because it's Disney and somehow I feel I should, lol. But it's made even harder with Splash RIGHT THERE!!! But OMG, how much fun is it at night?! It's like a completely different ride.

Oh God it was so amazing. I too had never heard of it so it really took me by surprise. So cool to see them all together like that and ESPECIALLY cool in that you can really see how different they really are. Particularly your girl Rapunzel. Her wave is FIERCE, lol. If you have to leave, it's a pretty wonderful way to it. And of course you're welcome; I just wish the photos had come out a little better.

Wishes o'clock!! Yes please. I love the castle projection show, it's so perfect. Whenever I see Walt on the castle...oh man, that gets me every single time. Wishes always makes me cry & I'm not a fireworks show kinda girl. It's just so touching & romantic. Sigh...

Ooh yay for friendly CMs! She looks adorable. I love hearing about disney starting friendships! :) I haven't been on big thunder in a while. Maybe I'm due for a nighttime ride. Good suggestion!

Boo for CMs who don't know anything. I mean, sure, there is a heck of a lot to know at wdw (for example, knowing what time the 3 o'clock parade starts) but if there are things that we lay people know...come on now. Disney, just hire us, ok?

That is sooooo super sweet, the 3 princesses waving goodbye to everyone!! They are adorable. I love Rapunzel's enthusiastic wave. Cinderella & Aurora are so kind with their polite waves. Aaahhhh I love it!

YAY Wishes O'Clock. I think I may make a shirt with that on it now. Lets see if I can get this to become a thing.
Oh God I know Jennifer. That's the part that gets me too with Walt. I really miss his Disneyland speech though.
Wishes is perfection. I love fireworks anyway, but all fireworks are a joke compared to Wishes. There's just nothing like it.

She was so nice too. I often wonder how often people stop and talk with CM's other than a quick question. We really talked for at least a half hour. You MUST do Big Thunder at night. It's beyond amazing.

:rotfl2: 3 o'clock parade. Seriously right!!?? I kind of think she was pretending or didn't understand the terminology since they often refer to things differently internally. Like some CM's aren't familiar with "Characterpalooza" or play dumb. Some call it something else. But yes Disney HIRE US!!!!!

Ahh it was so great. I stood and watched for a good long while too. It was truly Magical. And yes, Rapunzel's wave is something to see. You could not walk by there and not smile.

Ughh rain. I have a love/hate with rain in Disney. I don't mind it too much and it's fun to run around in especially with a big group of crazy people...but then it just makes you look awful in pictures haha.

DYING over Donald making you remove your Mickey sticker!!!!!!!!!!
I love Donald so much :rotfl:

HOW PERFECT ARE THE PRINCESSES!!!!!! WHAT???! HOW COME I'VE NEVER SEEN THAT BEFORE?? How lucky for you though to get that on your last night in the MK! All I ever get is being shoved out by a massive and sweaty crowd without even a moment to say a real good bye! (I guess that makes it easier though...you know, like a clean break?? No time for tears/sadness)

P.s. I'm really lovin all your shirts if I haven't said that already

Yeah totally the truth Michela. The bad thing is how much rain I had this trip. Probably more that week than all my other trips COMBINED. So yeah, a lot of rain, and not over yet. :umbrella: It does clear the crowds though, but I agree, the photos really suffer!

You have to love and respect the duck!! I've had other times where he made me cross my arms to cover up Mickey on my shirt.
Ahh he's so great!

OMG I just loved this. If you have to leave MK, what better way to do it. Magical times infinity! I've never seen nor heard of it before either, so I really have no idea why it happened. But I am SO glad it did.
Bahaha, don't worry, I've experienced the "other" way to leave many times too.

Aww thank you!! :flower3: I have one more home-made shirt for the next day that I always wear to Epcot and some ideas floating around in my head for December!!

I some how missed an update. :faint: But I am all caught up again. :goodvibes

That is so magical that all the Princesses were out waving good-bye to you. It is so amazing all the little pieces that fit into the big picture that is a trip to Disney. So many things that people never see and don't even know about. So wonderful. ::yes::

I love the rides at night, I have been on BTMR at night and it is great. Also in 2006 I rode Splash about 5 times in a row during Halo Wishes and that was AMAZING!!! There was no line so every time we got to the end the CM would yell who wants to go again and we would all cheer and off we would go again, no need to get out of the boat. That was totally awesome. It helped that the entire boat was full of my family members. :) I would love to do EE at night and hopefully it will be open late one day while I am there someday.

Another great update looking forward to the next. :goodvibes

Wishes is the best! It's my favorite thing at WDW above all else. I need to see that projection show, it looks so neat.

I like BTMRR anytime, though at night is SO cool. BTMRR isn't my favorite ride though...but one of my favorites. ;) Splash Mountain at night is pretty cool too!

WISHES! My absolute favorite nighttime WDW spectacular. I love that DH is the photographer out of the two of us because it means I get to watch the show without a lens in front of my face but I still get the awesome pictures to take home. :thumbsup2

I love that you spent 30 minutes talking with a CM and then got the last ride of the night on BTMR. :worship: That is an amazing way to end the night! I haven't ever ridden it at night (at least I don't think so) at WDW but I did in DL and it was incredible! It feels like it goes so much faster, I guess just because you can't see exactly where you're going.

The princesses waving goodnight is perfection.

Ahhhh, it's been far too long since I've posted here!

1. WE'RE BIRTHDAY TWINS haha, my birthday is also December 4th :)
I've only spent my birthday in Disney once, but it was magical, you're going to have so much fun :goodvibes

2. I love super nice CMs that will just talk to you like that, it just makes the day even better.

3. I know what you mean about BTM losing its thrill, it was one of my favorites when I was younger, but it's just not the same anymore, especially compared to other Disney coasters. Not that it's a bad ride though. I'll have to try it at night and see how that changes things.

4. The Princesses waving at the end of the night though... that's adorable and so magical. Great end to a night at MK!

Haha, YAY!

It really was a magical moment, that's for sure. And you're so right, there are so many little surprises that come that you just never expected. This particular one seems to be new to everyone which makes me :)

Absolutely!!! The outdoor rides are just a whole different experience at night. Wow, 5 in a row on Splash? That would be wicked. I'd sure hate to miss Hallowishes though, lol. EE at night is HIGH on my list. In fact just being in AK at night is something I really want to do. The photos I've seen look so amazing.

Thank you SO MUCH! :goodvibes

It really is the best thing ever!!! The projection show is amazing and such a great addition to the night time entertainment.

Haha, I think I'm pretty much addicted to it at night now. I'm not sure how much I will want to ride daytime anymore, lol. Splash I will take any time. :)

Thanks for the great TR! Really enjoyed reading it!

Thank you SO MUCH Carol and :welcome: I really appreciate that!!!!

ME TOOOOOOOOO!!!!! See now that's something I never thought about before. That would be so WIN-WIN. I need a photographer to follow me around... "Ok take a picture of that... take a picture of that!"

It's so weird how things turn out. Obviously that wasn't the initial plan, but I ended having a lovely conversation with her AND got the last ride of the night. That's something I know I've never done is to ride the final ride of anything. And YES!!!!!! Big Thunder at night has a whole different vibe. It made me love it again.

Oh God THAT was something to see. Perfection times infinity!!!

Hi Brennah, I'm just glad you're still there. :)

OMG that is Amazing!!!! YAY BIRTHDAY TWINS!! I have a feeling the year may be a little different, but still... :rolleyes1
Do you realize how close we were to sharing a birthday with Walt himself??? I can only imagine how cool it must be to do a birthday in Disney but I will imagine no more. I'll make sure to do a toast to you as well. :cake:

I so agree. She was so friendly. Interesting that even though she was the exact type of person you want as a CM, she had no interest in working for Disney after her DCP. She enjoyed it, but it just isn't what she wants. Of course she still planned to be a guest.

Oh God Brennah, it is entirely different at night and I highly recommend it. The feeling and the lighting is spectacular.

It really was. I had never seen or even heard of that before, so that just made it even better.

Oh no, your last full Disney day is coming up!!? I've been away from the DIS for like a week and a half and I come back to all these great updates, and you've booked your birthday trip (which sounds AWESOME!!! by the way!) and this trip report is almost coming to an end already?! Can you just try to drag it out a litttleee longer so there won't be much of a delay between this one ending and the next one starting? ::yes:: Okay great thanks! ;)

My favourites from the last few updates:
-your sneak preview of the Polynesian DVC!! I'm surprised you didn't sign up right away, one of those teepees looked available!
-the unfolding drama of Aurora's and Cinderella's relationships in the parade! hehe!
-the unfolding drama of the huge downpour while you rode the Peoplemover!! Particularly the UNBELIEVABLE cuteness of the characters with their umbrellas, omg! Thanks for capturing that! :thumbsup2
-THE EXCITEMENT OF YOUR UPCOMING TRIP!!! :cheer2: It's too bad you couldn't get WL or AKL to work out, but let's be honest, an extra Disney day is probably better than a split stay at a deluxe. (I don't know for sure, having never stayed deluxe, but I'm under the impression that more time at Disney World = significantly higher levels of happiness in life, so, there ya go!)

I completely agree with Wishes o'clock on watches.

Haven't done Big Thunder Mountain at night before. I think we may have to try that in a few months.

Wishes O'Clock? Love that idea!

Big Thunder at night is my favorite! So much better than in the daytime.

Wait, the CM didn't know what the Kiss Goodnight was? Shameful I tell you!

First let me apologize for completely missing your last update. I'm in a time warp I tell ya! For some reason I kept seeing the 7th and thinking sheesh, he's gotta update soon. :confused3 I'm shamed but not enough to not post. So with that......Let's recap the highlights of your evening that were completely awesome....

Wishes and reliving the magic from 24 hours earlier - it just doesn't fade and you don't want it to! :) Definitely you have another brilliant marketing idea with your Wishes O'clock. I see a Tee shirt design in your future with a pocket watch like the White Rabbit has and a burst of fireworks for the hour hands.

BTMRR at night! Do that during Wishes and see how awesome it is. (We try to time it that way at DL sometimes.) I understand putting the camera away to simply enjoy the ride.

The goodnight kiss for the castle is definitely not a secret. I think that CM was being coy. Silly.

The princesses waving goodnight - You know they were doing that just for you! They heard you were coming over to see them. princess: Seriously awesome.

Again, please accept my sincere apologies for being a DisneyKid4Life fan slacker!

Aww Suzi, you're just too sweet. Your comments always make me smile. :) <------ See!

Haha, at the rate I'm going lately, this one's going to still be going AFTER the next trip.
But yes, coming up onto the last day. BUT, there are quite a few updates and tales to tell (and maybe some PTR updates as well) so I would expect this one to get at least close to departure day. :goodvibes

I know right!!?? Luxury at its finest!!!

OMG, that was just too priceless. Best facial expression EVER.

That rain was wicked (and there's more to come). But it was worth it to see all the characters with those umbrellas. Magic moments come when you least expect.

As it turned out, I probably could have gotten them, but I turned that money saved into an extra day. So there's no complaining from me. Disney math says more days is always better. :teacher:

I completely agree with Wishes o'clock on watches.

Haven't done Big Thunder Mountain at night before. I think we may have to try that in a few months.

YES!!! Lets make this happen.

OMG you absolutely must. It's truly incredible at night. You'll love it!!!

Big Thunder at night is my favorite! So much better than in the daytime.

Wait, the CM didn't know what the Kiss Goodnight was? Shameful I tell you!

I'm so glad everyone wants this. This is now a thing!

SO much better Danielle. Just SOOOOOO much better.

It was pretty sad I must say. :sad2: I think she was lying.

Oh Brenda, you are too funny. You know of course that I was holding off on updating further because I didn't want you to fall behind. :rolleyes1 Not to mention you were pretty busy what with your heroic son being home.

Yes, I think that memory will forever be a part of my Wishes experiences from now on and I love that. Oh yes, Wishes O'Clock is now officially a thing and I think there may well be a T-Shirt forthcoming. I'll have to see if I can get some financing for the pocket watch though. It shouldn't be hard though. It's a guaranteed seller.

That ride is so great at night I'm surprised I never did it before. I have thought about doing something like that during Wishes, but darn it, I have such a hard time pulling myself away from Main Street.

I agree. It definitely exists. It's on my list for December.

Haha, I thought that must have been it since I'd never heard of that before. How sweet of them to come out like that. I think maybe they heard how amazing the night before was so they wanted to see if they could top it. It was truly lovely.

Oh goodness, you are just too precious. :flower3:

SPHERES, FLOWERS, AND GARDENS… AND A CM IN EVERY PORT!
Day 6 – May 2, 2013 Part 1

First, a very Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends...

tk.jpg

And for my American Friends, Happy Columbus Day!

cd.jpg

And to any International Dis Friends, HAPPY WHATEVERITISYOURCELEBRATING DAY!!!

*******************************************

Sadly, I had reached my final full day of this amazing solo journey in the World.

Speaking of World, I had barely even touched Epcot so far apart from a few hours way back on Day 2.

One thing was for sure… My feet were feeling the strain of non-stop movement over the past 5 days.

So today would be a Croc day... Fashion be damned.

Today was indeed Epcot day, so I slipped into my traditional homemade Epcot shirt made to pay tribute to my homeland.

ca.jpg

Upon arriving, the sky had a bit of blue in it, so it was at least a promising start weather wise.

01.jpg

Spoiler Alert... It wouldn't last.

OK, let’s just get this out of the way now. I love the music of Walt Disney World.

A LOT!!

But, there is just something about the Innoventions Area Loop that makes me so deliriously happy.

I know Spaceship Earth is a pretty good clue that you’re in Epcot, but it’s that music that makes me “feel” it.

Anyway, like a good little Disney Kid, I immediately headed to The Land to get a Soarin’ Fastpass.

02.jpg

Once secured, I didn’t stay long, which is REALLY hard because I love the smell of the Land pavilion (Seriously, what is it about Disney smells?),

But I really wanted to get over to Tron Track.

The last time I was here in October, Test Track was under refurb, so I was anxious to see all the changes.

On my way over, I noticed the first of many school groups coming towards me.

03.jpg

I also noticed what appeared to be one of the chaperones making a break for it on the left.

I can’t blame him. Run! Run away!! Save yourself!!

I arrived in front of Test Test and, since I was alone, took advantage of the single rider line.

Could I BE more of a single rider?

11.jpg

I have to be honest; Test Track was never one of my favorite rides.

It’s not bad by any means, but it has always been a little “meh” for me.

The new design your car part was totally lost on me, but I’ve heard the options in the single rider are much less than in the regular line.

Nonetheless, I don’t have much interest in that anyway… I just want to ride!

In the end I found it kind of cool, but again, it’s not my favorite thing to begin with.

And frankly, they should have either just gone full on with the Tron theme, or just left it the way it was.

Disney's Modus Operandi has always been to tell a story.

Because the design your car aspect really has no impact on the ride itself, I think that fails.

That said, I still went around and rode again… with yet another school group no less.

12.jpg

At least I found the camera this time.

I still had a while before my Soarin’ Fastpass time, so I just wandered a bit and took some topiary photos.

This is Buzz either imitating his favourite Native American, or trying to be Spock and failing miserably.

13.jpg

14.jpg

15.jpg

16.jpg

I just can’t resist a picture of the Monorail whenever it appears. It’s a reflex I think.

17.jpg

Shockingly, the taking of the monorail photo only used up a few seconds so, still needing to kill some time,

I decided to head over to the Seas when I spotted yet another school group.

18.jpg

There were definitely a lot around, but I can honestly say that they in no way impacted my day.

We encountered CMs that did not know what the Kiss Goodnight was either. And I don't think they were lying. :confused3

ETA Oops, snuck my post in between your two parts. Sorry!

Day 6 – May 2, 2013 Part 1 Cont.

I finally arrived at the Seas.

19.jpg

In no time at all, or said another way, after the walk in the queue that I’m convinced takes longer than a flight to the moon,

I was boarding my clam and on my way through the “Living Seas”. :p Old School, Yo!

Does the little pink fish remind anyone else of Pac-Man??

I can’t help but enjoy this little attraction and I remember being blown away by it the first time I rode.

I thought the animation was really fantastic and was so impressed with how the Imagineers blended the real and animated so seamlessly.

Plus, Peach at the end just makes me smile!

The last time I was here in October, I was saddened to find there were no dolphins out in the aquariums.

Thankfully, that was not the case today, because I SO LOVE DOLPHINS!

29.jpg

30.jpg

I grabbed the required Hidden Mickey picture

31.jpg

Before heading back outside, as my Soarin’ time was now fast approaching.

Before that though, I had to grab the following photo, because, how often can you get this photo with no people in it?

ETA Oops, snuck my post in between your two parts. Sorry!

Wow, I find that so very surprising. She did seem awfully convincing in her lack of knowledge. It's quite amazing really.

Haha, not a problem at all!! I've done that a good many times myself. :goodvibes

Home made shirts >>>>>>>
But YOUR home made shirts >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Disney BG music is DA BEST! Especially Epcot :goodvibes I was listening to my Epcot BG music today in fact.

I have not seen the redesigned Test Track and these are actually some of the best photos post design that I've seen so far (all from other TRs) Idk about you, I'm feeling a Space Mountain vibe. Seeing as I have not seen it in person yet, I don't know how I feel about the new one... nothing like the original

Could I BE more of a single rider?

11.jpg

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA you kill me :lmao:

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving Day! (the 14th??) So do you have a traditional meal like turkey or anything?? Any parades with Homer Simpson balloons or floats like we have?? That completely makes the holiday you know. ;)

Onto your review...

Very nice shirt!! Since we know that you are a marketing genius, do you actually create the design or use an existing artwork and make the tee shirt?

Don't you hate it when you have to switch up your footwear and then you have to worry about them matching your outfit? Speaking of crocs... they have these lovely leopard print crocs for women that would be perfect for AK!
crocs_mammoth_leopard.jpg

How did you get a car to yourself?? Was it something you said? :lmao: You are a fast learner. You clearly didn't make the same mistake twice with knowing where the camera was located for Test Track. I'm not a fan either. I agree that creating your vehicle has no bearing on the actual ride. (At least with Sum of All Thrills you design your own coaster and actually test it.)

Peach is the name of the starfish at the end of the Nemo ride?? Your TR is not only entertaining, it's educational! :teacher:

As always, enjoying your updates. :)
