“IF THIS IS A DREAM, I DON’T WANT TO WAKE UP!” – POP! Goes The Solo Trip **THE END**

omg characters with umbrellas toooo cute! Um I guess there isn't enough money in the budget to get Chip and Dale their OWN umbrellas? :confused3 :rotfl:

You've never ridden the Barnstormer!?! That was and probably always will be one of my favorites. I don't care if it's like 10 seconds long.

Love the people mover. It is one of the best rides ever. It is the ride that says to me "yes, you are at Disney World!" It has the most amazing views.

The characters with their umbrellas are too cute! They look like they are having a blast.

Ahhhh the PEOPLEMOVER! That ride will always hold a special place in my heart. On our trip in February, my kids ended up wanting to ride it over and over. They thought the "sharp" turns were awesome and when riding through the dark parts, they would try and hold their breath. :rotfl:

(Hope you don't mind me posting that picture!)

I've never seen the characters walking with umbrellas! How freakin' cute is that?! I'm glad you took pictures of all of them!

Awesome pictures with Goofy, Donald, Daisy and Minnie!

I have never seen the characters out in the rain like that. Disney sure is the best at making things fun even in the rain. I was wondering what do the characters do if their suit gets wet ? I mean you would think it would need to be cleaned or blow dried so it don't get to smelling old and moldy :rotfl:. I know I think of the craziest things :confused3

Nice afternoon and evening in the MK. Glad you found a few silver linings in the rain clouds. Yes, Disney in the rain is still better than the real world.

Glad you got a FP for Peter Pan. We love that ride and wouldn't like to see any changes, except as others have suggested- slow it down so you can take some pictures and find a way to get people on this ride faster (I realize these are competing wishes)

I love the songs and the scenes on Philharmagic. It is fun to see the characters somewhat out of character.

Great commentary on the parade.

That tactic of dodging the rain on the Peoplemover looks very familiar- we did that on our last night of our July trip. From there, we could watch everyone getting SOAKED during the dance party.

Did you take all of the character with umbrella pictures from Cosmic Rays? Nice view. That was way too cute!

Finally- congrats on your upcoming December trip!

I'm so happy for you! And what a spectacular invite from Brenda!

There’s any number of reasons why riding on the TTA is great choice.

One is obvious… It’s flat out AWESOME.

Also, there’s rarely a line unless a load of other things are shut down, it’s ridiculously relaxing, the views are stupendous, and oh yeah…

IT’S AWESOME!!!!!!

I'm so happy someone understands my love and adoration for this ride. I could seriously ride it all day...

Hmmm... I can't decide yet on a TR - I really want to, but I got really lazy with my notes towards the end of the trip. We'll see, I need a stroke of ambition so I'll just keep reading yours! ;)

The PeopleMover is always a good idea.

Wet socks are always the worst! :sad2:

I love the pictures of the characters playing in the rain! Look at their umbrellas! So precious.

The Barnstormer was my first roller coaster...I hated it and refused to ride any other coaster for the rest of the trip. If only I could tell my young self that one day I would ride Manta...

Donald is too funny!

Always!!

Oh God, it really is Courtney. I don't know why wet feet cause so much discomfort, but they just do.

Aren't they adorable?? It was almost worth dealing with the rain just to see that.

I bet it's a lot of people's first coaster. Not me, my first was actually the Mummy. Ahhhh Manta. I am seriously considering a day trip to Seaworld in December for it.

Bahaha, I so love Donald. It doesn't matter where, he ALWAYS does this. I always seem to have a Mickey on me somewhere.

Nice on the Breaking Bad homage!

Of course the Peoplemover is a great choice! It's incredible. And quite possibly my favorite! Well, after Haunted Mansion.

I was going to say! Hopping a bus I could see. For the ABC Commissary? For shame Rob! :lmao:

Of course Donald would demand that you remove your Mickey sticker. Because he's awesome!

Ahh thanks Danielle!!! I wasn't sure how many people here actually watch, but it just had to be done. Brilliant show and a brilliant finale.

Ahh it's so good. I can't believe how some people pass on it. I would be heartbroken if it ever went away.

Hehe. But how funny would that have been. Like who would do that??!!

He is awesome. It ALWAYS cracks me up when he does that (and he always does that).

Hi Rob. Here at WDW now and as I said on facebook it's my birthday today. An easy way to give Earl of Sandwich another try is to join there club. You get a free brownie for joining and on your birthday the send you a coupon for a free sandwich. Used both today and saved about $8. If they still disappoint you you aren't out much.

And a very happy belated birthday to you!!!! The fact that you share a birthday with the MK is just beyond awesome. I hope you both had a great day!!

Oh and since it's your first post here. :welcome:

Ahh, I will have to try that with Earl of Sandwich. Thanks for the tip!

If you like chicken, you should try the rotisserie chicken at Cosmic Ray's. It's really good!

The characters in the rain photos are great! I don't think I've ever seen anything like that. You're right about Disney in the rain being better than anywhere else!

You know, I don’t think I have tried that. Maybe something for next time!

I thought it was so cute. Totally worth dealing with the rain.

Ah the peoplemover, such a lovely relaxing ride, I’m insanely sad that I somehow didn’t get on it at all this last trip…ah well, next time I’ll make a special extra trip for it to make up for it!

Always a good choice of Cosmic Rays, I will never turn down lunch there!

Awwwee characters with umbrellas/out in the rain are WAY to freaking adorable, and like, Chip and Dale using the same umbrealla?! GET OUT. SO CUTE!

Yay for no lines and awesome characters!!

Also great news about the new trip, how amazing of Brenda to have you as her guest! These Disney friends I tell ya, they’re amazing!! Hope the trip is absolutely fantastic and I can’t wait to hear all about it!

WHAT??!!! For shame, lol. Yup, next time you must go around twice to balance things out.

Totally true. They have a really big selection so it's usually easy to find something you're in the mood for. Plus, if you're with a group, there's usually something that everyone will like.

It was serious cuteness overload. Like beyond.

It really was. The rain really sends people running. Good for me though.

Ahh thanks!! I was too blown away by Brenda's gesture. Just amazing, and you are SO right. Thanks Katt!! I hope the tale is a good one.

Wait, you had to go an entire day between Wishes viewing? Were you going through withdrawal? Did you seek medical attention? I hope you at least didn't try to dance in your weakened state.

I know right!!?? Painful, but the anticipation makes it even better I think.

Great update. Absolutely love the pictures of the characters with the umbrellas in the rain. :) :goodvibes

Love the peoplemover. Such a relaxing ride. I always think how awesome it would be if that was how we traveled around. Just hop on the people mover and get off when you need to. :)

That cheeseburger looks so good. We always eat lunch there at least once and that is what I always get. Yum!!

Aww thank you. The characters with their umbrellas were simply too precious.

OMG THAT would be beyond awesome. Somebody needs to get on this!!!

It was good!!

Hey Rob! Indeed! Happy Birthday MK!!

I think I know your problem with your Star Cadet rank on Buzz - you need to use both hands! Makes for better aiming I'm sure. ;) Although it is suspicious that the invisible person next to you was a galactic hero. Hmmm...

Where was your rain poncho? (says the mother in me!) That would have been funny if the characters had Mickey umbrellas!! I mean, I have one. :rotfl2:

Those characters at Pete's Silly Sideshow look like a lot of fun. I need to put that on a Must Do list since I've never made it further than the new Dumbo.

Ooooohhhhh another round of Wishes coming up!

Hi right back Brenda! Happy Birthday indeed.

Haha probably true, but then I wouldn't get to spin!!!! That darn invisible person is SO GOOD at this.

Bahaha, I am one of those people who refuses to spend $7 or $8 on thin plastic. Ahhh I have a Mickey Umbrella tooooooooo!!!!!!!

Oh God Brenda, definitely a must do. They were great. And generally the line there isn't bad at all, so the characters are usually pretty happy to see you. Maybe I'll introduce you in December, lol.

Wishes = :love:

Happy birthday, Magic Kingdom! pixiedust:

Ahh yes, I guess your Buzz magic was a one-time deal. At least you have proof from the first time! :thumbsup2
I have also waited out the rain on the PeopleMover. It is awesome! That's a lot of rain! Glad it slowed a little for you!
We always end up at Cosmic Rays. I like it there. Lots of seating and of course, Sonny Eclipse.
AWWW! The characters with the umbrellas are way too cute! And fantastic character pics too!

It looks pretty good for 42 doesn't it?

Yeah totally. One and done. I am now determined however to max that bad boy out.

The PeopleMover is awesome, and I have to add, those pictures do not do that rain justice. It was unreal. I was fully under cover, but still got wet.

It's a really good QS. Lots of different selections AND great entertainment.

Thanks Wendy. I could not get over how precious they all were with their umbrellas. I just loved it.

The pictures of the characters with the umbrellas are the cutest!! :goodvibes

And I am very sorry you almost drowned in Bay Lake :rotfl2:

OMG I so agree Alexis. It was the absolute cutest thing ever.

Haha, thanks. I'm telling you that puddle was HUGE!!! I still can't figure out how I didn't see it. I mean, all the boats sailing in it should have been a dead give away.

OMGee those characters walking around with their umbrellas are so cute!

Especially Chip and Dale, what nuggets.

There is no system to Buzz I swear just shoot and hope for the best haha.

Oh God I know. I just could not get over how adorable it was. Sometimes the rain presents some amazing things.

I think they were my favorite too since they were sharing.

You're probably right Jess. And if there is, I can't seem to consistently find it.

You & I had the same experience on our solo trips! It was raining, so we hopped on the people mover! I broke down and bought a poncho...and then later I got flip flops because wet shoes are no fun, like you said.

The characters & their umbrellas are sooooo cute!! Just like Goofy, to dance in the rain. Chip n dale are just too cute. I love them.

That's adorable that Donald made you remove your mickey sticker before he would take his picture with you. He is one sassy duck & I love it.

Oh wow, I guess the PeopleMover is a go to destination in the rain. I always go back and forth on the ponchos. It's so hard to justify that price.

OMG, I know Jennifer!!! It really was the most adorable thing. And Goofy was too hilarious. He had his handlers in stitches.

Oh he totally is. Anytime you wear something Mickey, he gets VERY upset. It's awesome!!

I just love the picture with Tigger and his umbrella.... to me that just seems like such a Tigger thing to do, go and play in the rain...

Totally right!! I really loved how all the characters had no problem with the rain AT ALL.

omg characters with umbrellas toooo cute! Um I guess there isn't enough money in the budget to get Chip and Dale their OWN umbrellas? :confused3 :rotfl:

You've never ridden the Barnstormer!?! That was and probably always will be one of my favorites. I don't care if it's like 10 seconds long.

OMG Meg, so very true. Bahaha, yeah good 'ol Disney cutbacks. But truth be told, it was so super precious watching them share one umbrella, that I much preferred it. Just adorable.

I know right??!! I think part of the reason was it was closed down on some trips when Toontown closed. Plus, the wait times can get pretty crazy sometimes. BUT, yeah, I totally loved it.

Love the people mover. It is one of the best rides ever. It is the ride that says to me "yes, you are at Disney World!" It has the most amazing views.

The characters with their umbrellas are too cute! They look like they are having a blast.

It is so great and so under-appreciated by many.

Oh God they seemed to be loving the rain. It was just too precious.

Ahhhh the PEOPLEMOVER! That ride will always hold a special place in my heart. On our trip in February, my kids ended up wanting to ride it over and over. They thought the "sharp" turns were awesome and when riding through the dark parts, they would try and hold their breath. :rotfl:

Awesome pictures with Goofy, Donald, Daisy and Minnie!

YAY PeopleMover!!! I absolutely LOVE that you shared that photo AND the story to go with it. MY GOD that is adorable. Your kids look so happy!!! AND they have the same Mickey stickers I had. :cool2: Seriously, that is one of the cutest photos I've ever seen!!! OMG!

I know, it was beyond adorable. I know sometimes rain in Disney kind of sucks, but there's so much stuff that happens ONLY when it rains that it's worth it.

Aww thank you. They were fantastic!

This is the first time I'd seen them playing in the rain too. It was awesome. Actually that's something I've thought about as well. I'm not sure how the rain affects them.

Oh wait a minute, what I meant to say is, What Costumes? ;)

I'm so happy for you! And what a spectacular invite from Brenda!

Thank you Dee. You know, it's so easy to complain about the weather, but there's also some unique magic that happen because of the rain. You just have to look for it.

Haha, yeah, totally agree. Sadly, dong one of these would make the other impossible. But it would be awesome.

Absolutely! I think that's what makes it so great. You have all these iconic characters, but everything is fresh and new.

Ahh thank you.

I'm surprised more people don't do this. Of course, even under cover I still got a little wet, but it's kind of enjoyable to be riding around in the rain.

No, just Winnie and Tigger from Cosmic Rays. All the others were setting up around the corner from the bathrooms in Tommorowland. Just right place, right time.

Thank you Dee. I sure do hope it will be great. That invite from Brenda was just the best thing ever.

I'm so happy someone understands my love and adoration for this ride. I could seriously ride it all day...

Hmmm... I can't decide yet on a TR - I really want to, but I got really lazy with my notes towards the end of the trip. We'll see, I need a stroke of ambition so I'll just keep reading yours! ;)

Right??!! It's so fantastic. I would be VERY upset if they ever closed it. VERY upset.

Haha, well I hope you do one. If it helps, I never take notes. Everything I've ever written is completely based on the photos and memory. :goodvibes

BREAKING BAD :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc

How lucky that you got to be on the Peoplemover during the storm! AND you got to see the characters in their Tomorrowland outfits. I LOVE those.

You never take trip notes?!?!?! And you can put out TRs like you do?!?!? :worship: Impressive!!!

Okay, perhaps I'll get around to doing a TR after all... :)

Wow, that rain is crazy! But the People Mover seems like a good choice, especially to get out of the rain.

Yay for a Disney Christmas trip!

Wow! That was some rain! Going on the WPM sounded like a great idea to pass the time. I like to ride it to take a break and relax too. DH doesn't like the "sharp" turns or when it speeds up at all. It's really too funny.

Your personal photographer did a great job, you got some great shots with the characters.

Boy you got me hungry after seeing your burger, and it's not even 8:30am yet!

BREAKING BAD :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc

How lucky that you got to be on the Peoplemover during the storm! AND you got to see the characters in their Tomorrowland outfits. I LOVE those.

OH YES Breaking Bad!!!! I originally considered "baby blue" text, but I thought it would be hard to read, lol. You know something too (and yeah this is totally off topic from Disney, but whatevs), I'm not even really sad that it's over. I mean I LOVED THIS SHOW and I will miss it terribly, but the story was just so perfectly told "A to Z" that to run it too long would have probably been damaging. As it stands, it's perfect. :lovestruc

It was such good timing on my part, however unintentional. Admittedly though, I did have my suspicions that things were about to get wild. It's pretty darn cool to watch the storm from that viewpoint I must say.

Ah the characters, and all of them too!! Because they couldn't do the dance party while it was rainy they had them all doing meet and greets instead. Well, Goofy with Pluto then the Chipmunks with Stitch. I was in line for Goofy and Pluto, but it just got too confusing for the handlers and I was constantly getting passed by, so I decided to skip it. Still awesome to see them all anyway.

You never take trip notes?!?!?! And you can put out TRs like you do?!?!? :worship: Impressive!!!

Okay, perhaps I'll get around to doing a TR after all... :)

Nope, never. The only notes I've ever taken was on the Keys tour. What I try to do is organize all the photos and then write the whole report up over a few days while it's all still fresh. I do edit and add and tweek as I go along, but the framework is done well ahead of actual posting. It seems to work well. :)

Wow, that rain is crazy! But the People Mover seems like a good choice, especially to get out of the rain.

Yay for a Disney Christmas trip!

It was nuts Sarah (this was definitely the rainiest trip I've ever had). The PM is a blast in the rain though since you do stay fairly dry.

YAY indeed! I can't wait to see all the decorations again. :santa:

It was pretty intense for a bit (as Florida rain can get). Thank God for the Peoplemover. Haha, I LOVE the sharp turns and the bursts of speed. It's so unexpected on a ride like that.

Indeed she did. It was so funny when I went to the other side and there she was.

Haha, I know!!!! ME TOOOOOO!

We did the Peoplemover 3 times in a row last trip just cause we wanted a rest :lmao: It's just the best....then CoP is always good for a quick afternoon nap!

Love Cosmic Rays...we usually split something there and then have dessert at THe PLaza:cool1:

Haha, it is also a GREAT attraction for resting, no doubt Jacquie. I've never napped in CoP... Hall of Presidents on the other hand.

Cosmic Rays is really good. Such a wide selection, it's almost like a food court.

Awesome posts!

Thanks so much Lauren!

Oh my, I've fallen behind on your TR! Silly real life getting in the way... I've got to catch up now!

I also really love Philharmagic. I love how it combines so many of my favorite classic Disney songs, and adds a little bit of humor too! And lol at the Swiss Family Treehouse "wait"... I'm pretty sure one of my friends has tampered with that sign before in the same way!

Woohoo, a December trip! That's when I'll be visiting again as well! Though our trips will only overlap by one day, so unfortunately I think meeting up will be hard. I'm arriving on December 11th. It will be my first time in Disney at Christmas! And that is incredible about the Illuminations cruise! You will have a fantastic time and I can't wait to see pictures from that :goodvibes

Awww, the characters are so cute in the rain with their umbrellas! I love that they still came out to do meet and greets despite the weather.

Oh, and I just added you on facebook :)
