Lunch looked amazing! That is quite the food which is just the way to treat yourself while on vacation.

So odd about the room divider door. Did the room have a guest that was staying there or was it just a vacant room?

Ugh to the divider door. What a pain!

Both breakfast and lunch look lovely and I definitely must visit the Bacardi shop. Tom always seems to enjoy his purchases so much!

Beautiful pictures from port.

Lunch and dinner look superb!

That's weird about the connecting door. That would bother me too. Glad you got it closed and locked

It was and it felt so good to sit in a clean air conditioned restaurant. :thumbsup2

The divider door had a life of its own. :lmao: There were quite a few guests in the room next to us and even though I am sure they would not have taken advantage of the open door, it just made us feel uneasy.

The food on board is amazing, no matter what meal you have. ;)
Oh, and when you get to Nassau, do not forget to stop at the Tortuga rum company. Free samples of rum cake :rolleyes1 and they have some really nice flavoured rums as well.

It made us feel so uneasy that the divider would pop open again and again. Thankfully our stateroom host was able to fix it in the end. :thumbsup2

Gorgeous food pics, as usual.

I wouldn't have been happy about that divider thing either, so I'm glad to hear it was eventually fixed.

Day 3, February 17

Champagne and Mickey Bars on the veranda - Part 4

We checked in with the cat hotel and some friends and while we were doing this, the divider door popped open again.
No one was on the other veranda, so we knew something was wrong with the door. And while we still debated if we could fix it ourselves or should go and find our stateroom host again, there was a knock at our door. Our stateroom host was right there and handed us two packaged Coke bottles. Little did we know than that they sell pretty well on ebay, but at the time we were just very pleased with the little gift.
We showed her the open door again and she went out to find “another tool” to fix the door. She came back with a knife! And this time she fixed the door for good. It would not come open again.
We continued to sit out on the veranda and took pics of ourselves, one of Tom to send to the cat hotel owner

and one of me and the T-shirt I had gotten for little Klara, to send to my co-worker, who is on maternity leave. While we were still trying to send them to them there was another knock at that door and the sparkling wine we had gotten as our Platinum gift was delivered.

Not that we were hungry, but with the bubbly on the table we felt like ordering a little room service again. So I called and asked for

Caesar Salad, Romaine Salad tossed in a creamy Parmesan dressing, served with croutons, the

Crispy Chicken Tenders, served with fries and Barbecue Sauce and the

Buffalo Chicken Wings, served with vegetable sticks and Honey Mustard Dip and some extra Ranch dressing. Plus we ordered some

Mickey Bars as well. So about 20 minutes after we had ordered there was a knock at the door and our “nibbles” were delivered.

We were on vacation, so we started out with the dessert, the Mickey Bars first.

Yeah, good choice, otherwise they might have melted away. Mickey Bars finished we set the table, got some drinks

and had a nice mid afternoon snack. Snacks finished and after cleaning our hands again (those Chicken wings sure are messy to eat) we sat out on the veranda and enjoyed some quiet time again.
We ever so often got up and watched the masses return to their ships and then finally watched one of the other ships in port sail out. Shortly before 6pm we could see workers waiting for the ship to sail away

and quite on time they untied the ropes

and we were soon on our way out of the port.

Thank you! There is nothing better than cruise food. :rotfl2: Well, maybe Disney signature restaurant food, but that is at an extra charge. :lmao:

We were really happy when it was finally fixed. It was a bit odd to be able to "visit" our neighbours without even knowing them. Not that we did, but the thought was odd enough.

Food and more food. You are killing me this morning, Karin.

Shopping in Nassau looked lovely.

I'm glad the door got fixed for good.

I want a Mickey Bar on the verandah!

Just found you and have caught up. Looks as if you've had lovely weather so far.

Great update Karin!! And eating Mickey Bars 1st is the only way to eat Mickey Bars!!

Loved the aft balcony room, can't wait to have one on our next cruise!

a knife is my go to tool too! :rotfl2:

Glad she got it fixed for good this time. And once again, I look at your food pictures and it's lunch time. I guess I better go eat something....that will be no where near as good as what you had!

The divider would have also driven me batty Karin! Glad it finally got fixed! And more drooooooooooooooooooollllllllllling over the food :upsidedow

Mickey Bars make for a great appy:goodvibes

Glad you got the door fixed! That would really make me uncomfortable. It was bad enough one time when we stayed at POR and there was a connecting door that the kids in the other room would open and then proceed to pound on ours.

Yay for Mickey bars and snacks AND what a nice gift. Certainly all a great way to enjoy some relaxation time. :goodvibes

Love your room service feast! Everything tastes better on a Disney cruise!

Jill in CO

:thumbsup2 Couldn't agree with you more. ;)

Sorry! :rotfl:

Once we had figured out room service, we had quite a few of those Mickey bars! :lmao: Can't let FREE Mickey bars go to waste. :rolleyes1

Just found you and have caught up. Looks as if you've had lovely weather so far.

Welcome! So glad you found us.
We did have really nice weather this cruise, warm and sunny - just the opposite of what we had left behind. :lmao:

Dessert first?! That's got me written all over it.

That is one of the best things on vacation - having dessert first. :goodvibes

Couldn't agree with you more on the Mickey Bars. :thumbsup2

Loved the aft balcony room, can't wait to have one on our next cruise!

It was a really great room, even though we have gone back to our other favourite again, stateroom 10626! I just can't go without the rainforest shower. :rotfl2:

a knife is my go to tool too! :rotfl2:

Hope you had something really yummy for lunch. :thumbsup2

The divider was getting kind of annoying.
Jeanette, you really should consider one of these cruises. Your kids would LOVE it and we could both sample all of the yummy cruise food. :thumbsup2

Yes, having the door fixed for good made me feel A LOT better.
And wow! Having kids from the next room knock on my door would really get on my nerves.
We usually "park" once of our heavy suitcases against the connecting door.

Yay for Mickey bars and snacks AND what a nice gift. Certainly all a great way to enjoy some relaxation time. :goodvibes

Yes, there is NO better way to relax than with a Mickey Bar in hand. ;)

Day 3, February 17

Champagne and Mickey Bars on the veranda - Part 5

Shortly before 6pm we could see workers waiting for the ship to sail away
and quite on time they untied the ropes and we were soon on our way out of the port.

We stood on the veranda for quite some time

until we headed back to our stateroom just in time for another knock at the door.
A Cast Member was there, delivering the paper model of the Cabana we had rented for the next day. A little while later we headed down to the shops. There were two things we needed to find out. Was our friend Oxana still on board and working in the shops and would they sell the newest Dooney and Burke, DCL handbag design. It did not take long to find out that both questions could be answered with a YES.
We had a nice long chat with Oxana, who even remembered our names and we promised to be back with some sweets for her, then we headed to the other shop to pick up the handbag

and two Minnie Mouse stoppers for my Camilia bracelet. After that we made a short stop at the DVC desk to pick our gift of the day and since they were such fun people and we had won that bag the day before we left them some chocolates as well.
We returned to our stateroom just in time to get changed for dinner. Today it would be at Royal Court and it meant that we had all three main meals of the day in the same restaurant.
When we arrived at the restaurant, Mario was already waiting and led us to our table, which was the same one we had used for lunch. The assistant server came right by to fill our glasses with water, bring some Diet Coke and he placed the

Warm Herb Brioche in our basket and put the

Olive Spread on the table.
