    Increase in parking fee

They could make sure the WiFi in the rooms is upgraded (when I was there last month it tested at 6mbps :() And go back to charging for that. The only issue would be in the parks, where you almost have to have WiFi for Fastpass + and Dining. But could have an "upgraded" service for a fee there...

Convince me I don't need Disney (of help me convince my parents that they do)

To address the Kids Club issue...I have not been on a Princess branded cruise, but I have been on Carnival...Carnival owns Princess. The kids in my group loved the Carnival Kids Club. I would think Princess would be similar. Reading through this thread, I see many advantages to Princess for...

    OKW Lovers Thread. Part 2

In fact, in the early years, they did not actually class the DVC resorts as "Deluxe." They were classed as "Home Away From Home" resorts, due to the limited housekeeping and having kitchenettes and full kitchens. Once kitchenettes and refrigerators became pretty standard in the hotel industry...

Candlelight Processional Dining Packages - Early Booking for DVC Members

Yeah, right now trying to decide between Dec 5 and Dec 10, waiting on guest narrators to be announced for those dates.

So, did anyone buy a rainbow Mickey magic band?

So, without effects, I assume it will simply access my MDE account and from time to time get the purple DVC lighting at Park Entry, like the free ones provided by the resort.. That's fine. I was just wondering what to expect, since I won't use it until December. I had a hard time justifying...

Be a Disney 'futurist' for a minute . . . what does DVC and a Disney vacation look like in 10 years

Sadly, many investment gurus don;t seem to care about long term viability, they want big profits NOW, as that is what their bonuses are based upon.

Be a Disney 'futurist' for a minute . . . what does DVC and a Disney vacation look like in 10 years

Even if Walt were still with us, it would still be a public company answerable to Wall Street investment fund managers wanting maximum profit.

    AP prices rise again

The increase really wasn't unexpected, especially when you look at DVC Room availability this year. The parks and resorts will be packed for Galaxy's Edge and the 50th anniversary.

A Disneyland future themed resort in Texas?

Why would they need Netflix, they already have controlling interest in Hulu, with a right to buy them out in the future, as well as launching their own DIsney specific streaming site soon.

A Disneyland future themed resort in Texas?

Actually, they do. San Antonio is a pretty popular vacation spot. Lots to do there. And prior to Disneyland, Orange County, CA, wasn't a big vacation destination. It was orange groves.

Men, when growing up and playing sports

Had to wear one for regular PE class back in the1960s in Jr. High. It was required.

A Disneyland future themed resort in Texas?

It's not happening...but if it were, near San Antonio would be the logical choice with Six Flags, the River Walk and Sea World already in the city, and already a popular tourism destination. Houston no longer has AstroWorld (shame on Six Flags) and doesn't have the leisure tourist draw that San...

Great, thanks! I need to book it for our December trip.

    Timeshare limitations in California

Yep, I don't know what reasoning they used to drop Newport Beach. It didn't stop Marriott from buying the property and building a timeshare. Maybe Californians just don't want busses to the parks? It seems strange, given the limitations in Anaheim that DVC doesn't explore nearby areas close...

    Timeshare limitations in California

Since *gasp* there is more to Southern California than Disneyland, why not build a DVC near a beach, or even in cooperation with another park, like Knott's (Cedar Fair) or Sea World and offer free bus transport to Disneyland/CA Adventure. Knott's has much to offer, but is a different experience...

Be a Disney 'futurist' for a minute . . . what does DVC and a Disney vacation look like in 10 years

If the economy tanks, we'll see similar measures like we saw after 9/11, new resorts put on hold, shorter theme park hours, lower crowd levels and special ticket pricing. If the economy holds, we'll see price increases like we have seen for the last few years. Riviera will a test resort...

So, did anyone buy a rainbow Mickey magic band?

No, I don't think they were supposed to have special effects, I was just wondering if anyone bought one and can say for sure.

So, did anyone buy a rainbow Mickey magic band?

If anyone bought one, does it have any special effects on park entry?

Claiming Depreciation on Rental Income (Taxes)

Well, that makes sense. But, I haven't rented my DVC Points so far, but that is good to know for the future, if I do.
