    Remembering Sylvia

Thanks Dan. I well remember my mother saying that she wasn't afraid to die, but was afraid of not being remembered. That's all anyone be fondly remembered! Thanks for doing that for Sylvia!!!

    Current times guide for transportation

Should be pretty much the same.

Can I go straight from airport?

Nope, not an issue. No one cares...Disney certainly doesn't. If you land, on-time, at 8am, you should be at AKL by 9:30, probably sooner, using DME. Hand your bag off to Bell Services. Understand that if you use Uber, you will have to wait for them to get to you, then they have to drive around...

Slinky dog dash FP at 6:15, flight at 9:18?

As noted above, be at the FPs entrance about 10 mins before the stated time....around 6:05. They should be able to get through at 6:10. Move quickly to the park exit as soon as they get off. Call Uber once there. This should get them to MCO by 7:15. As long as they are at their gate by 8:30 they...

Dme....luggage only.....don't want to ride the bus!!!!!

Nope, it all depends on when you board the bus. If you board as soon as the bus arrives, you will wait up to 25 mins...until either the bus is full, or the 25 min point is reached. If you board the bus after the bus has been sitting there for 20 mins, you won't be waiting on the bus for long...

Disney's Magical Express -- Luggage Tag Info

Yes, it's the best way to handle it. When you do the online DME reservation, there is an area, at the bottom of the first page, that asks if you have another guest to add. You can then plug in their info. Keep doing that until all are registered. Theoretically, we have been told that no, you...

Dme....luggage only.....don't want to ride the bus!!!!!

Interesting. That goes against everything we've been told. There's a reason that driver's have taken our 'reservation' sheets and then done paperwork at the valet area. Not sure why the driver would go to a resort that had no guests getting on board. These are Mears drivers, so who knows. And I...

    Princess Weekend 2020

So, I called runDisney, they told me how to change my race registrations. Then, it showed that I owed an addtl $202. Which I paid. Then I sent an email to runDisney (per the CMs instruction), telling them I had changed my registration. They will refund the overpayment, which they say is the cost...

Dme....luggage only.....don't want to ride the bus!!!!!

Nope, they aren't waiting for particular people to show up. Buses are supposed to sit and wait for about 25 mins. Unless the bus is full at an earlier point. So, if you board the bus quickly, but there are no others coming along to board, it may seem that the driver is waiting for someone, but...

Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

Normally the buses start around 6:30am. But, if the park opens prior to 8am, I believe they will start about an hour prior to that very early opening.

    Princess Weekend 2020

I registered for the 10K last week. Just decided to give the half a shot, and registered today. Is there anyway, at this juncture, to make it into the FairyTale Challenge? Just curious.

    Disney Bus Driver Training?

Nice to hear from you again!!! Miss seeing you around here. And I agree, MIM has made rides very impersonal. Some drivers are able to still go above and beyond, but those are exceptional drivers. Most drivers seldom open their mouths anymore!!! Hope all is well with you!!

Disney's Magical Express -- Luggage Tag Info

    1. Used to be two, but it changed to just one pp a few years ago. 2. Is her name correct on the room reservation? If so, just cross off her maiden name and put in her married name. Be sure to leave that bar code untouched! 3. Those cute plastic luggage tags come as part of a package. If you...

Dis Breast Cancer Survivors Part IV - GAGWTA

Wow....I have some catching up to do!! I'm so sorry to hear about Kendall's struggles. I agree....I would want to take that from my dd and let her be fine!! I'll keep you both in my prayers. Can I ask a question of you much more experienced people? I got my breast cancer diagnosis last Aug...

Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

A few thoughts....there is no walkway from the front of Epcot to the Epcot resort area. There is the walkway from the IG to the resorts, but if the park isn't open, you won't be able to get there from the bus stop area. You could take the early bus to DHS and then walk to the YC..takes about 20...

    MK transportation

There was probably a monorail issue. The first monorail should run around 7am. Your only other option would be to get a cab or uber to the Contemporary and walk over to MK from there.

    Timing of it all

I would leave the room at 9:30 as you much more time and you don't want to be rushed. Getting to DME at 10:30 will probably get you to WL in time, it usually takes around 90 mins or so, but I would rather err on the side of being early!

As noted above, this type of gondola system is in use all over the world, with great success. Because this subject has been debated to death, I'm going to close the thread.

Can I get on later DME??

The buses will go to the resorts that have guests with active DME reservations. So, if there were to be no guests registered for that 7:40 bus, there wouldn't be a 7:40 bus. And I doubt anyone other than the drivers will know this! Not a chance I would take. So, a day before departure, I would...
