You are going to Disney again??

I wish I went enough for people to say that to me!! LOL! I can barely manage to save enough to get 3 of us there every few years, to take all 6 of us on numerous trips just isn't going to happen. :( Very jealous of those that can! LOL!

I love the DIS boards! It's so nice to know there are people out there who are just like me!

I get that comment all the time, usually followed by, "You don't even have kids, why go there?"

I'm in this boat. I heard it this weekend! I was there in May and I am thinking about a quick MNSSHP/F&W in October. So? To me it's like asking, "You're eating lunch? Didn't you just eat lunch yesterday?" The argument makes about as much sense to me.

Also, people don't understand that I am going to Anaheim in November, and that DL is a completely different thing! I haven't been THERE in two whole years! And yes, I'd still go to WDW in October. Why not?

I just say we want to get blitzed at the World Showcase and don't want to embarrass our children. Which in reality is more like I am looking forward to not being an adult and can't wait to ride Peter Pan.

So many adults think that the only way to have fun is alcohol. Sure, it's one way, but it seems like it's all they know. It doesn't surprise me that getting drunk at WS would not be questioned, but wanting to ride Peter Pan's flight would raise eyebrows. Seems backwards to me!

I hear it all the time. I went twice last year and people thought I was nuts. When they pay for my vacation they can have input on the destination.

I just don't understand why people think they can comment on our trips to WDW:confused3 When they tell me they are going to the NC shore again, I don't say, "What??? going to the shore again, been there, done that, go do something else". Honestly, I have had a "friend" say that to me with a disgusted look:worried: I have given up trying to explain to those people! I just smile and say we love it and will go every chance we can get:) I must admit, I don't tell the "friend" where we are going at all; just not worth the grief!

We always get it. Especially now that DH and I are going again next month just the two of us for Food and Wine. I don't care tho because it's something we like to do and our kids will only get bigger and might not want to go anymore. I'm hoping that doesn't happen lol :)

I don't get "you're going again?" but when I mention we are going on vacation people always say "back to Disney, right?" LOL!

We went in January of 2014 as a family and then justmy wife and iwend Labor Day weekend to celebrate our anniversary. We booked the bounceback for August 2015 with the kids and are already thinking about returning in 2016. There is always something new for us to do there.

Glad I'm not the only one who hears it! We have so much fun everytime we go!

We last went in 2011. Also went in 2003, 2008 and 2009. We are going next year and I've had people tell me "you're going again. But you've already been there."

Most people I know view WDW as a once in a lifetime type vacation destination.

It's funny to think about...if someone says they go to Jamaica every year, no one says "what, again??". DH and I have been going to WDW since before we were even married 15 years ago. It really is our happy place. DH works a physically taxing job...he works 80-90 hours a week (most weeks). The man works his @ss off. When we go to WDW he can totally let go and chill out...his smile comes back and he has no responsibilities other than to decide how many Mickey Bars he's going to eat on a particular day.

I stopped caring a long time ago what people have to say....if it makes him happy that's all I care about.

I love the "don't you get sick of it" comment.....obviously, fool, if I was sick of it I wouldn't go. Close friends and family know that we travel to other places as well (we follow Daryl Hall & John Oates on tour sometimes) so they don't really comment any longer...sometimes they want advice or to come along with us on trips.

Oh and we don't have kids. So of course that comment has flown at me a few times.

Just gotta remember it's your cash and you need to do with it what makes you happy!

We've gone the last four years, same time of year, and we've been fortunate not to have people say anything in an accusitory way. What I get is the look in their eyes that they wish they were going.

We are trying a cruise this year instead. (Can't wait for Disney again in 2015 too).

We leave Friday morning to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary at Disney! So excited!!! Also going to our very first MNSSHP!

Congrats on the anniversary!

Dan

I get this all the time. Also get...." it's so expensive, you must be rich and/or lucky to be going there again"....

It really makes me mad because I don't tell people how to spend there money so don't tell me how to spend mine.

It all comes down to the choices we want to make in life. If we don't spend our money on cigarettes, wawa coffee daily, take out, going out to the bar or eating out, we have plenty to pay for our "expensive" vacations.

"going THERE again".... why is it ok to go to the same hotel at the Jersey shore every year, or the same cabin in the mountains every waking minute you have, or the same island to lay on the same beach every year; but HEAVEN forbid I stay at a different resort at WDW every time I go and try new restaurants each time I go.

WHATEVER

Just wanted to say DH & I will be in your neck of the woods in 3 weeks. DH loves Blues & BBQ and has tolerated my love of WDW for many years so we're heading to Memphis at the end of the month. Any suggestions would be most welcome!!

We've found that like most people on this thread that we get one of the following two responses:

1. Again?!? Didn't you just go there/why would you want to go back this soon?

2. Man I wish we could go too/can we go with you guys/let's plan a trip there together soon!

Sure, I'm happy to share some tips. I sent you a friend request and we can talk about it on PM. I'll warn you, Memphis is kinda small and has limited offerings, but blues and bbq are two of the best things going here!

I just smile and say I sure am! We love it and I realize that it isn't everyone's cup of tea and that is ok. I personally don't like sports but don't care to know why other people always go see games.:thumbsup2

Yesterday a co-worker and I were having a conversation about something and I wanted to show him an article I had recently read, we walked over to my office and I "woke up" my computer. The last thing on it was the Touring Plans crowd calendar. He asked me what it was and after explaining it, he asked the inevitable

"But why do you have it up now, you just got back a week ago"

"Because I'm trying to figure out when we can go again."

Blank stare as if I had suddenly developed 9 extra sets of eye balls.

Everyone says that!! I also get "What your going again! Doesn't it get boring". Obviously they have never been!:rotfl2:
