We all know how hard it is to pick a single favorite place, so please list your Top 5 Walt Disney World Restaurants/ Dining Experiences.

I am going in APril with my sister and 2 nephews and have never stayed onsite or eaten anywhere other than quick counter service places (oops I have eaten at ESPN Club).

Thanks in advance for any and all responses:banana:

If you're looking for fine dining, the signature restaurants are the best bet, and the most expensive. So here's a little more variety.

Best Counter Service: (tie) Tusker House/Columbia Harbour House
    Best Buffet: Boma
    Best Family Style: Garden Grill
    Best World Showcase: Akershus (Norway)
Best Signature Restaurant: California Grill (we haven't been to all of them)

    Our family's favorite restaurants are:

Teppanyaki - Great experience and food
Whispering Canyon - we were lucky enough to have an extremely fun waiter
Ohana - Great dinner and most fun character breakfast
Liberty Tree Tavern - We haven't done the character meal, but the food at lunchtime was excellent
Cape May Buffet - the best buffet I've had anywhere

    1. Le Cellier. The desserts alone earned it #1!:cloud9:
    2. Kona Cafe. O.K...I like the desserts here too, but everything was really
    good.
    3. Crystal Palace. I thought my kids might be to old for Pooh and the gang,
but some of our best pictures are with Eeyore.
    4. Sunshine Seasons. This may be an odd to 5, but we were on the dining
plan and we got so much food there it was unreal. We went
back the day before we were leaving and used our extra credits
(and we did not have many left) and got enough food for
breakfast and lunch for the trip home! I like the tomato and
mozz. salad and of course I must mention the strawberry
    shortcake.
    5. For us it would be the Rainforest Cafe at the Animal Kingdom. I know
that there are much better places to eat at, but we eat there
every time we go to Disney. The kids really
look forward to it. I gotta admit that I like it when the rain
starts and the animals move around too!:rolleyes1

    Hi magicbar;
If we had to choose the top 5 restaurants, ours would be
1- The California Grill- @ CR- the best service and food ever had at Disney.
2- The Japanese Restaurant in Epcot
    3- Alfredo's in Epcot
4- Sci Fi in MGM (great burgers and shakes)
5- Primetime cafe (great service) @ MGM

If your looking for fine dining you can not go wrong at all w/ the california grill. They have something for everyone... the view of the castle is great as well and if you go at night you can watch the fireworks @ MK.

Think about your nephews as well... what are they into and how old they are really matters. You dont want to take them to a place where they wouldnt have any fun... :)

Eek, it's hard to narrow down since our experiences have been generally positive (there's something special to like about so many of the restaurants!)

    Fave buffet: Boma
Fave signature (haven't been to CG though): Jiko
    Fave family style: Ohana
Fave TS: Kona Cafe or Le Cellier
Fave character meal: Crystal Palace for breakfast/Chef Mickey's for dinner

    In no particular order:
    1. Boma
    2. O'Hana (for dinner)
    3. Tony's (I know some of you are shuddering but we had a wonderful meal there last week, one of the best we have ever enjoyed)
    4. Prime Time
    5. San Angel Inn

We have had wonderful food at all of these (and have eaten at each one but Tony's more than once). They are also about the atmosphere for us since when we dine at Disney its about more than the food. I wil also mention, Liberty Tree Tavern as a favorite character meal and Sci Fi for another fun favorite.

    2. Kona Cafe - service and food were great
    3. Liberty Tree Tavern for Lunch - not very busy and the food was very good.

Cool topic! There are a few places that rate highly here at the DIS that we haven't been to (yet!) such as Le Cellier and California Grill, but here are our top five favorite experiences so far:

    1. Boma
    2. Kona Cafe
    3. Brown Derby
    4. H&V Playhouse Disney Character Breakfast (The food is nothing special, but it was a wonderful experience for my DS and us, since my DS loves the Little Einsteins)
    5. Counter Service - Columbia Harbor House

Crystal Palace- we went before MNSSHP and loved it. The character handlers came around in advance and made sure that everyone had and opportunity to spend time with each character.

Casey's- I know they are just hot dogs, but something about sitting there staring at the castle or watching a parade makes them into extra super special hot dogs.

Biergarten- I was looking forward to this one the least and it's by far my favorite dining experience. Too much fun.

Raglan Road- If you go for an early dinner it's quiet and a lovely dining experience. One caution: if you are on the DDP watch the receipt. We got charged for 2 table services last year.

50's Prime Time: Great comfort food, fun environment and not as scary for the shy people as I had feared. Plus, I loved watching my 62 year old Mom get fed her veggies. :woohoo:
