Posting for a friend:
Attention Disney Yacht Club friends! We checked out of room 4221 on Friday, July 8, 2016, leaving behind a beloved rag teddy. Teddy has been an unwavering companion to my daughter, seen here at age 3 with her father who died shortly after this picture was taken. I contacted Disney but their lost and found is not available until Monday. Please share and if you know the family staying in Yacht Club Room 4221, please forward to them. Thank you so much! Valerie Turker Belvidere, NJ ❤️

Bumping, with hope that Teddy is reunited with your daughter soon.

Likely mousekeeping would find it and hopefully turn it in to lost and found. So certainly call first thing monday.

Keep trying and don't give up hope. We once left behind a very bedraggled but much loved teddy at the POFQ. We found out he was missing as we boarded the plane home. Oh my, the hysteria. We were able to call the resort before the plane left and they said they would let housekeeping know.

In the days that followed we called the resort a number of times and lost & found as well. No one could find the missing bear. I wrote a short note with a picture of teddy (in better times) and mailed it to the resort. I also sent a number of emails to any email address I could get from Disney, with our room number and checkout date. In the emails I included a picture of the little one holding teddy. Nothing. I'm sure people thought we were nuts. But we were being driven crazy due to sleep deprivation over the lost companion.

We had given up hope and were trying to find an acceptable napping replacement to teddy. Disney had even sent a Duffy bear to replace teddy, which we adults really appreciated but wasn't cutting it for teddy's owner. We tried to turn the incident into a learning life lesson about loss, but that didn't go over too well either. Then one day, about 3 weeks later a box arrived in the mail from Disney. No note just teddy.

We were so thrilled I sent another email to everyone I had emailed with our thanks and a picture of a beaming DS with the bedraggled teddy. My DH said "oh great, that's just what they want, another email from crazy lady" but since I didn't know who or how it had been found, I decided to thank everyone. We were grateful and I wanted people to see how happy DS was now that his teddy was home. It wasn't just an old teddy bear to us.

So long story short, don't give up hope. Your Teddy may just show up at your home in a couple weeks!

Holy long shot batman. "if you know the family staying in this particular room". :sunny:

Crazy enough to work I guess.

We were reunited with our daughters Banana Bunny back in 2013 who took an extra weeks stay at the BC. The person from lost and found was very helpful. We sent a picture of the bunny to her via email and Banana made it back

Update: Someone called me last night at 10pm! Wow! Just to let me know that they received my message and to call back Monday after 8:30am.

Fingers crossed!

Update:
They've been in touch and filed a report. Still no luck. They answer my emails daily.

Hope it works out! My son once lost a bear during a non-Disney vacation and we were not able to locate but last Fall on his birthday trip we left a less important animal behind and before it was even missed I got an email from WDW alerting us that it was being shipped home to us! I also once left my iPhone in the bathroom at the Polynesian the morning we were checking out and after a panicked phone call to the front desk it was located and shipped back to me. They really do go all out with service.

Well, it's been over a week and still no sign of our Teddy. Still hoping and praying that he will turn up in room 4221 of the Yacht Club, in the laundry, or whoever found him will send him home to my daughter. No questions asked. Thank you!

Just curious, was your daughter's teddy bear ever located?

Was actually a close friend of mine's daughter.

Unfortunately, no it still has not turned up. She even had a friend who was traveling to WDW a couple of weeks ago also check in person but no luck.

I realize a month out this is turning into an MH370 type situation, but we once got our lost hat back from Disney in a cardboard box 1 month after returning. Fingers crossed.
