She's on the other side now, on her way to Cartagena. The last time a Disney Cruiseship travelled through the old Panama Canal Locks: right lane through the Miraflores Locks, left lane through the Pedro Miguel and Gatun Locks. Next year she will have to travel through the new locks with her duck tail.

Are you sure she will get a ducktail? She won't have the aqua dunk. The aqua dunk was why the magic got the ducktail.

It's fairly certain she'll get the duck tail. Many older ships are being fitted with them. It has to to do with stability in the water, not just the because the AquaDunk was added to the Magic. There also will be more weight added due to the re-do of the Mickey pool area into AquaLab (and additional mechanics on the what was once the secret deck on deck 7).

Nope. When we were on the Wonder in August, we were on the deck 7 aft verandah and there was an officer out there and we talked about losing the aft verandah to make way for other equipment. That equipment being emergency power generators as a result of more recent regulations calling for two redundant emergency systems. According to him, the duck tail is to counterbalance that weight and not the Aquadunk.
