I am not even sure if it is allowed to do this, as I normally post on the Community Board (and don't even do that very often!), and I know this is a huge leap of faith as you all don't know me at all, but I figure if I don't ask, then the answer will always be "No"! So I ask!

I have a 17 year old daughter that just loves all things Hobbit/LOTR. In fact, the whole family is enthralled by Middle Earth, and we were thrilled when LOTR was made, and thrilled again over the Hobbit movie. Who knew Dwarves could be so delectable? :goodvibes

My daughter is in her senior year of High School, and doing fantastically. She has great scholarships to University, and while money is a wonderful tangible gift to give her to show our parental appreciation, I know what would really thrill her - bed sheets or pillows with Thorin and Kili on them from the Hobbit!

I found a set on Amazon.UK ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Hobbit-...D0SK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1360248257&sr=8-1 ), but they don't ship to the US. I was then searching for a pillow with Kili and Thorin, found one on a site in the UK called Geekest Link, but they don't ship to the US. What, does no female in the US want to snuggle in bed with Thorin or Kili? :thumbsup2

I am unable to find anything remotely similar here in the States. :(

Do any of you have knowledge of a company that would ship items like this to the US? Specifically Illinois? Anyone traveling to Chicago anytime soon with nothing better to do than pick up the pillows or sheets in UK and let me accost them as they get off the plane with said "hot dwarf" items? ;)

I would really appreciate any help in locating these items for US purchase. And these really are for my daughter, though if she has these, I may occasionally glance into her room, just to make sure she made her bed, of course!:)

Likewise I'd be happy to order them from Amazon (I get free delivery) and post them on to you,

Good luck, and well done for posting on here, I'm sure someone can help you :thumbsup2

Thank you both for the kind offer of sending me the items from the UK. :goodvibes

I do appreciate the offers so much, but I would feel absolutely terrible if something happened and I either didn't send you the payment soon enough or it became lost in the mail, or something like that. If I can avoid having anyone go out of there way for me, I will, but again, I do appreciate the offers to help, and I know I would offer to do the same!

If I don't find a company that does send to the States, I just may contact either of you anyway, and pray that nothing messes up. I just know my daughter would be over the moon coming home to those dwarves on her bed! :thumbsup2

Thanks to you both for offering to help, thats really kind. I can understand luvavacation's concern as things can go wrong when money from abroad is involved with postage and delays and something we dont encourage here on the Disboards due to how many things can and do go wrong:)

OP, I do hope you manage to find a company that is able to help you, If you do need to get in contact with either of the ladies to help you, can you go through the private message route to obtain email addresses to continue with this, good luck:)
