Wishes Dessert Party Dec 24 & 25?

Was anyone able to book Dec 24 & 25 before today - Oct 27th?

My last ressie for Dec 23rd was cancelled b/c a system error caused double-booking of many Dec dates.

I just booked Dec 24 & the 24th & 25th are wide open. Wondering if it's another glitch & I'm going to be disappointed yet again.

Definitely something hinky. Dec 1,6,10,11,13,15,17,18,24,25 are all open for Wishes for multiple time slots.

Ugh I hate calling Disney, but I guess I'll have to check before I change all my plans to work around an ADR that might not exist .

On a separate note, does anyone know if Christmas dining is going to be announced this year? I see special events for Thanksgiving and New Year's, but nothing yet for Christmas aside from Minnie's, Candlelight, etc. Thanks!

Can confirm -- just booked for Christmas Day at 7:15.

I understand we can book it as of yesterday. I am concerned that this is a glitch & that these ressies are double-bookings, like the last time a flood of Wishes reservations opened for Dec well after the 180. We were all cancelled!

Many dates in November were opened up yesterday too - all on party nights. It would be a bummer if it is a glitch. I'm really looking forward to it!

I thought that maybe there were waiting to see how HalloWishes went to see if they were going to offer something different than the dessert party on MVMCP nights or just offer the same dessert party option and that's why they were just released for party nights?

There are still ADRs showing up as available for party nights. If it is a glitch wouldn't Disney have caught it by now and at least stopped more people from making reservations? It's been well over 24 hours since they were released.

I don't know if they were already released. The dates were greyed out for the longest time, then they were blue for several weeks (I assumed I'd missed the release), then they opened up last night. I'm wondering if they were ever really open prior to last night.

Yeah, I agree. I have the dessert party on 12/26. When i booked it the fireworks were at 9. I got an email that my party tume was changed due to the fireworks moving 1 hour earlier.

A month! That's crazy! My reservation is in less than a month for the party.

As to booking closer to the holidays, hopefully they wouldn't make the same mistake twice with releasing too many dates! I would be really annoyed if I were spending my holidays ay WDW and the dessert party was included in my holiday celebration plans and then they called and told me it was cancelled! Good luck!

I just booked my Pop Century reservations from the 22nd to the 31st last Friday. I couldn't book any earlier due to work and not knowing if I could get the time off. I was able to book several dining reservations right away but places like Be Our Guest, Le Cellier, Wishes Dessert Party and Merry and Bright Dessert Party were all booked solid. But over the last 3-4 days, I was able to get reservations for all those.

I'm wondering that if there are 100 reservations available for the Wishes dessert party on a given night, that not all 100 are released 180 days out so that later bookers have a chance at some reservation. I'm fine with the you snooze, you lose concept but I can see it driving customers away from coming when they see no chance at getting any desirable reservations if they can't book their vacation 180 days out.

It's possible but some of it is probably due to it being 60 days away from your trip. Once fastpasses are booked people tend to firm up their ADRs and cancel what no longer works for them.

I'm still skeptical about my reservation in November I just made 2 days ago. It seems odd that if this has been bookable for months that all of a sudden there is a ton of availability. I thought Wishes Dessert Party was pretty tough to get but after 2 days it is still available at multiple times on multiple party dates in November. I hope it isn't a glitch but I'm worried it is. I guess we will find out for sure soon since we are less than a few weeks away.

I've thought about that as well. There have been a few reservations that I've grabbed and when better ones have come along, I've booked them and dropped others. I'm not holding onto them any longer than I have to so that others have a chance at them. So far, I have a breakfast and lunch at Be Our Guest, Wishes Dessert Party, Biergarten lunch Candlelight Procession, Le Cellier Dinner, Mama Melrose's lunch Fantasmic, and Merry and Bright Dessert Party. I keep checking for an Illuminations Dessert Party opening but nothing has come up yet. I also have fast passes for all the big shows and parades as well. I was contemplating going somewhere else for vacation this Christmas due to having to book so late and being afraid we'd not get to book anything. I've been able to book every single thing I've wanted to and if I can get the Illuminations Dessert Party, that will be the cherry on top of the icing on top of the cake.

Thanks, OP, I had given up on booking the WDP for our MVMCP. Wonder if they were holding reservations in consideration of making a holiday party like the one during MNSSHP.
