My son has received a wish trip through kids wish network and we are going in mid Sept. My question is I know with MAW you get a special DAS pass and MAW pretty much guides you through everything as far as skipping lines and all. Does anyone know if it's the same with Kids wish or other organizations? He cannot walk long distances and will be in a stroller for our trip. Will he be treated like a wish kid of just another kid I guess is my question? I think only MAW kids get the special sticker or button, correct?

If it's not through Make a Wish, then you need to ask that organization what they do.

Unfortunately no one here can answer that for you, most likely. You'd need to contact the organization that granted the wish to see what their set-up with Disney is. I know for Make a Wish foundation disney has genie lanyards that you get thru make a wish, not actually thru Disney, and they have special accommodations that go above and beyond the DAS goes. However, other wish granting organizations may not have the same agreement with Disney and may have other accommodations. Disney works privately with wish granting groups and they don't all receive identicle accommodations- make a wish may be given different accommodations than a special wish foundation, etc. The only way to know what you're getting is to ask your organization directly.

no matter what happens with DAS, do get the stroller as a wheelchair tag for your stroller. that is separate from DAS, not related to DAS. you will have to get that at the parks but is usually good at all the Disney parks for length of stay

Will you be staying at give kids the world? Thats where you get the genie pass, and they work with organizations in addition to maw.

no unfortunately kids wish does not do gktw. I wish:( I think we're staying at the calypso cay but it isn't confirmed for sure yet.

1) Shucks.
2) I was about to chime in with my info, but you are not at GKTW.
3) As mentiond above, you need to contact the wish-granting organization.

We will be going to Disney World in December. This will be my daughters wish trip being granted by Kids Wish Network. They have been wonderful! We are very excited to be there at Christmas time. I have not asked them yet, but I too, am wondering about wait times in the lines. Can you tell me how things were handled on your Kids Wish Network trip? Thank you.

Thank you for your reply and good wishes. I will definitly be asking Kids Wish Network about this. However, they have been a wonderful organization, every step of the way. I will update soon. Thanks again!

I am not sure the Genie passes are given out at Give Kids the World anymore. GAC (Guest Assistance Cards) were issued there by WDW guest Relations staff, BUT GAC was discontinued and the system changed with DAS far as I know.
The Genie cards replaced GAC for wish granting organizations that work with Disney. The information put out by Disney indicated that the organizations working with Disney would be issuing the Genie passes directly.

Someone else posted that Kids Wish Network is not one of the organizations that works with Disney.
Someone else posted about their experience with that organization recently - they did not get the Genie pass; they had to apply for a DAS Card instead. You need to verify with your wish granters what will be used.
EDITED TO ADD: OurBigTrip posted a link to the thread I was talking about.

If it is DAS, the thread about DAS at WDW stuck near the top of this board will be helpful to you. when using DAS, you will be given a DAS Return Time that is about 10 minutes shorter than the wait in the Standby wait line. Instead of standing in line, you will be able to wait somewhere of your choice - go on other attractions that have short waits, eat, do medical treatments or whatever - during that time.
