I have no idea. Do the housees have cleaning supplies and dish soap and dishwasher soap. Paper towels and napkins. :confused3 We are still looking at where to stay, I wish we could just decided and put a deposit down.

I find that it depends on the individual owner. I was in a rental condo that supplied everything, right down to the laundry detergent, garbage bags and paper products. But many times you get only the basics, 1 roll of toilet paper, garbage bags in the bins (no extras) and occasionally someone may leave coffee filters or liquid dishwashing detergent behind. If you are renting thru an agency, it is more likely that it will be only the basics.

BonnieA is exactly right.

All homes are owned and managed by different companys. 1 thing I do know is that anything that is opened from guest to guest is suppose to be tossed. Nothing open can legally stay for the next guest.

If there is a home you are interested in I would ask them directly. Get specific in your questions. You know what you will need for your stay so right questions down and email them as they come to you. If you need small amounts of items bring them with you or purchase small sizes when you are there and bring them home at the end of your stay.

Hi !
Most villa owners have first night supplies only in home - toilet roll and small bar soap in each bathroom.
Bin liners in bin.
You may find cleaning supplies in kitchen cupboards that have been left behind, but there is no guarantee.

Once you've booked your home-you can ask that owner some specific questions.

There should be the basic starter package of dishwasher products toilet paper some owners will provide small toiletries like an hotel but any opened items ,as Minnies says should be thrown away.Just ask the owner .If you don't want to take it all or go shopping some owners will provide a starter pack of foodstuff so you may be able to add to that but they will probably charge you for it as an extra but it may save you time and be worth the extra $$ to you .

I agree with what has been said so far, it is normal to have to buy kitchen supplies, detergent, garbage (or bin bags as we call them in the UK).

It can just depend on what is at the villa, the last one we stayed in there wasn't even basics like salt, on the other hand at others there has been tea bags, coffee, cooking oil etc - it just depends.

We actuallly bring our own garbage (bin) bags with us and also our own clothing detergernt (washing powder tablets).

The rest we rely on good old Publix!

Thanks I will plan on bringing things with us then. I will also ask when we get the house were staying at. It does make since to only have the starter package.

Like everyone else said, it can vary greatly. Sometimes it will just happen that the last renter left that stuff too. While I wouldn't use any "left food", I definetly would w/ the dish soap and stuff.
