Ok everyone I am still lost I really want to book but....... when I check the Disney site and put in the same info as I gave dreams unlimited my total is off by 324.00 ???? TA more expensive I thought they did not charge a fee , I have e-mailed them but only have a certain time to book I wanted the OBC but looks like I am being charged for them to give it to me.:confused3

It should be the same..... For starters, I would ask the TA to break it down for you.... Did you go through the whole thing as if booking on Disney's site to make sure they were adding the taxes and all?

Dreams might be including insurance. Reprice the cruise, with insurance included.

This happened to me and when I asked the TA about it she realized she had the wrong date. Easy fix.

A 5A would be more expensive than a 5C. It has to do with the location of the stateroom on the ship (generally speaking a cabin on a higher deck will be more expensive than a cabin on a lower deck).

Ask her to price out a 5C, same as what you were looking at, and it should come out exactly the same. (Or you could look at a 5A ;) )

I got my first quote through Dream and price was different for exactly $100. Well then I figured it out that they offer me $100 onboard credit for my kind of stateroom, which I assume they charge me.....didn't finalize through them. I went to may local TA in town and got the same price with better insurance and cheaper then DCL offers.

That's odd...a 5C would be on Deck 7 (like cabin 7070) whereas a 5A should be on Deck 9 or 10 (hence the higher price).

Whether you want to be on a higher deck or not is really personal preference. To be honest, I can't really tell the difference between deck 7 and deck 9!

Can you ask DU to price a 5C for you?

DU does not charge you for the OBC, and they don't pad the prices; you get charged exactly what Disney charges. There had to be some difference between what you were pricing on their site and what DU quoted. Usually it's a small difference in the category, such as going from a 5A to a 5B.

Oh, and I don't work for DU, I'm just familiar with their policies and have used them in the past ;)

I'm sorry, I was thinking of the categories on the Dream, but you're looking at sailing on the Magic!! I just checked the DCL Travel Agents website, and for a 5A on Deck 7 the price quoted to you by DU is exactly the same as the DCL site lists.
