Which WDW hotels allow 5 people in a room (3 adults + 2 kids)?

Can you tell me which resorts allow 5 people to stay in a room (2 adults + 2 kids + 1 senior)? We are a family of 4 and we are also taking Grandma, who wants to stay in the same room as us. Grandma enjoys being with kids and feels safer staying in the same room with everyone. Are 5 people allowed in a value or moderate resort (if yes, which ones)?

The only moderate resort that allows 5 per room is The Port Orleans Riverside...The value resort that will accommodate your family would be the Disney All Star Music, they have recently opened family suites. Disney has quite a few options if you want a villa..Saratoga Springs, OKW and The Wilderness lodge..just to name a few..good luck!

You can have 5 in any value or moderate resort if one of the kids is under 3.

Ironically, it turns out cheaper for 5 people to stay in 1 room in a moderate than in a value resort. The CM quoted me the following price for a 5-nite early December stay, including MYW base tickets for 6 days and 5 people sharing 1 guestroom:

$2,104 for Port Orleans Riverside

$2,306 for Value family suite

A value family suite is really two rooms connected, so you have two TV's, two bathrooms and a small kitchenette. Given the price difference, I'd probably go with the family suite. You'll be much more comfortable. You and DH will have your own private room.

there will be an extra charge for all adults over 2 in any one room.

would go with 2 rooms connecting (I know never a guaranteed) at a value resort.

since you are getting 2 rooms no extra charge.

if you rent a reservation thru a DVC member for a 1-bedroom AKV - there is also no extra charges.

a 1-bedroom has king bed, and queen sleeper sofa plus a chair bed.

No, no extra charge for extra adults in the All Stars Family Suites.

If either kid is under 3, you can still stay in a Value, though it will be cramped.

Port Orleans Riverside is a popular option for families of 5. The rooms are not that much larger than a Value, but it works.

There are some suites at Coronado Springs that would work for you, but you have to call and ask for availability. The price may not be as cost effective as a Family Suite at All Star Music.

Almost all the Deluxe Resorts have rooms that can hold 5, though I think some of the rooms at AKL and WL are only for 4.

The Family Suites run about $35 more than a standard room at POR-AB.

POR is 314 square feet.

The Family Suites has 2 bathrooms.
POR has 1 bathroom.

The Family Suites have 2 dressing areas with a privacy curtain.
POR has 1 dressing area with a privacy area.

The Family Suites have 2 sinks( 1 each next to the bathrooms), 2 closets, 2 safes, & 2 hair dryers.
POR has 2 sinks ( a double) .1 closet,1 safe, and 1 hair dryer.

The Family Suites have a kitchette with a nice storage area,lots of counter space, a microwave , paper plates & bowls, plastic ware, can opener, Paper towels, fridge,& coffeee pot.
POR has a fridge &a coffee pot.

The Family Suites -Sleeps up to 6 (plus one child under age 3 in a Pak-n-Play crib)
POR-Sleeps up to 5 (plus one child under age 3 in a Pak-n-Play crib)

The Family Suites--Queen bed, full-size pullout sofa, convertible ottoman & chair sleepers (4 separate sleepers) & 2 TVs.
POR has 2 double beds and a trundle bed&1 TV.

The Family Suites -Studio amenities and separate sleeping areas giving more privacy than a standard room.
POR is a standard room.
