Hi, we are going to Disney World on Nov. 15. We did have 5 going, so we booked Coronado Springs. But one adult dropped out, so it's just 4 of us now. Our travel agent said we can move to a value resort and save some money. My question is which value resort is best?? I have 3 kids, ages 11, 10, and 2. We have never been to Disney World, so I don't know any of the resort's. Thanks!

Hi there! I have a 10 year old and 14 year old. They prefer All Star Music. Not too kiddie, not too adult. Movies is nice too. We have stayed at Pop and AoA and found them too chaotic...Food court and gift shop is combined creating too much hustle and bustle and noise.
I'm like you, I like to save the money when I can. It allows us to stay longer. Have fun. You can't go wrong with any of them

All the value resorts are pretty much the same. All Star Sports is undergoing a food court renovation so I would avoid it if you planned on eating some meals at the resort. If there is availability I would choose Pop Century.

Have a wonderful first trip pixiedust:

Just know that being at a value resort, you will be in double beds instead of queens like many of the mods have. Our preference is Pop Century. It's a bright and fun resort and it seems a little more compact than the All Star Resorts. Additional bonus is that it has its own bus!

I also suggest Pop Century. We've stayed there and at All Star Movies. While I liked the theme of Movies a little more, we definitely had a shorter walk to buses/food court at Pop and the buses were always on time. When we stayed at Movies, we had a lot of bus issues. We'll probably stick with Pop or AoA from now on. Hope this helps!

Ditto to the reply about the beds. I've gotten to the point that double beds are a deal breaker for me. I stick moderate for the queen beds.

That being said, I've stayed in several value resorts and I like pop.

Thanks everyone! The beds aren't a problem because it's just me and 3 kids, one of which will be in a pack and play. I just want a resort that is convenient, easy and fun! Especially since this is not only our first trip, but I am also going by myself with 3 kids.

POP!!! Best value resort in my opinion! We have stayed here many, many times and have always had exceptional bus service, and the food court has way more options with huge serving sizes. ALL food courts at ALL level resorts get busy during peak hours. So just plan accordingly. The resort is so fun for kids with lots to look at and great pools. Great activities around the pool with movies at night as well. Oh, and the kids will love taking the short walk to Art of Animation to check it out.

Another vote for POP. We have stayed there 3 times and 2 of those were just DH and me:) lots of activities by the hippy dippy pool. Everything POP is awesome. We like 60's bldg It's close to the main bldg and we also get standard view. I think it is a great value. Also you can take the kids across the bridge to visit AOA and have some other options doe dining. The busses don't share. I just can't say enough about how much we enjoy it.

For your dates I would avoid All Star sports because of the food court rehab. We stayed there for one night during the rehab this summer and it wasn't a great experience because of this(moved to Caribbean Beach for last 8 nights).

Since you haven't been to WDW yet might I suggest you consider keeping your Coronado Springs reservation. I think there is a big step up in quality from value to moderate. I know someone mentioned only double beds at value. Also, the value rooms are very small compared to moderates. There is no covered seating to wait for bus transportation at value resorts. So if it is raining you might find yourself waiting in the rain to get to the magic kingdom and such.

A stay at a value does get the job done, and you'll save some cash. So if you choose a value I suggest you consider a preferred room to get you very close (stone through) to main pool and main building.

Have fun. I think you're staying at a great time as park attendance will be low. You'll have the time of your life.

We are staying at All Star Sports in January. Does anyone know when the food court rehab will be finished?

Last I heard, the food court will be done December 20th. I'm hoping it'll be done a few days early though, because I'm arriving a few days before that! Keeping my fingers crossed :-)
