Ok, I know this has been asked a hundred times...so here goes 101!!! I searched on the boards and only found two posts...

What songs would you put on a CD to listen to BEFORE your cruise, during your cruise and after your cruise? I want to get in the cruisin' mood, and then I want to listen to if after the cruise and remember what a good time we had.

    Here's what I found...

    Cha-Cha-Slide
    by: Mr. C
Album Title: The Original Slide Album featuring Casper.

"Hey.....Hey Baby (OOH-AAH DJ Otiz sings it
    -----------------------------------------------

I think I might put a few Jimmy B. songs on there...and the song Summer Breeze (was in some commercial last year...love that song)

    -----------------------------------------------------

Any other suggestions? Any other songs that you remember them playing on the cruise? :cool1: :flower:

The entire new KC CD... "Be As You Are... Songs from the Old Blue Chair"...

All 'island-themed', written in reference to his life in the Carribean... awesome 'boat music'!!!

Add to those Kenny Chesney songs, Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffet's "It's five o'clock somewhere" and Blake Shelton's "Some Beach."

Yup. Hey Hey Baby by DJ Otzi was very popular on our cruise last fall. The Ketchup Song was also played at almost every deck party. My DD LOVED dancing to those songs!

Funny you should say that... a friend of mine was a cruise ship entertainer- I always told him that should be his closing song for the week.

Is there a CD you can buy with most of this music? I know we have La Vida Mickey 1, which has some of these songs. But, are there any other CD's I can purchase to get into the Cruisin' Groovin' ?......

The thread kshabare linked is great. Thanks! That list was from 2003, have things changed since then?

I don't know how to burn CD's but I would love to just buy them. I have Beauty and the Beat which has Disney Songs in Steel Band form. Pretty nice.

    TIA!

I too have been thinking about putting one of these mixes together. Here's what I have on my list so far - a list of adult and disney tunes:

    Sea Cruise (Frankie Ford)

Mexico (either Jimmy Buffet or original version by James Taylor)

    Margaritaville (Buffet)

    Beyond the Sea (Bobby Darrin)

    Kokimo (Beach Boys)

Whale of a Tale (from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea)

Under the Sea (from Little Mermaid)

A Whole New World (from Aladdin)

    Five O'Clock Somewhere (Alan Jackson)

    Hot, Hot, Hot

Rhythm of the Night (El Debarge)

    Vamos (from La Vida Mickey)

Pump Me Up (from Putumayo Caribbean Party)

Here's a link to an amazon CD called "Caribbean Cruise/Music for a Rainy Night" not surprisingly "When You Wish Upon a Star" shows up on that CD! Don't know if the CD is good, but it looks interesting

    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/A...05191/sr=11-1/ref=sr_11_1/102-3380899-4590537

Good luck with your mix. Let us know what you finally decide on!
