When will the "Interactive" Mickey Mouse be in Appearance at WDW?

That might be the Uncanny Valley theory at work.

I had to look this up! Definitely could be it. I just think I would be freaked out by the fact that Mickey is talking to me. Plus the blinking thing is just plain weird.

Then that's some pretty cool (and expensive) tech going on!

It was cool...and it was some type of voice changer technology, so it wasn't like you needed a CM that could "do" the voice.
I think it would be amazing....I wish they would bring him to the park before my daughter is too old for it to mean anything. I cry when I watch the videos of him talking.

I put this possible addition relatively far in the future.

From the looks of the examples on YouTube, the technology is just not quite "there" yet
for everyday (and all day) public interaction.

And, remember, it would likely need to be done at all 4 WDW parks at the same time.


(But, as always, anything is possible at Disney.)

I don't think that's the technique that they will be using.

It is not the technique used in any of the clips on YouTube.
