So, other than a cup of coffee when I wake, and a glass of red wine with dinner, all I drink is water. I have a large Camelbak water bottle and refill it a few times a day. I love water!!! So, my concern is - I've continually read about the bad tasting/smelling Florida tap water. I am trying to figure out if I should stop at the Whole Foods in Orlando and buy water, or will the Contempo have decent water with which I can fill up my water bottle?

I only drink water and drink bottles at home as our water is too chlorinated.

I can stand the water at WDW served in the restaurants. I drink bottled at the resort and walking around in the parks.

We are here now. We always make a whole foods orlando stop. It is an amazing whole foods! We buy 6 gallons of distilled water at a case discount, as well as organic apples and other fruit and breakfast/snacks for the week.

I find nothing wrong with the water served at restaurants or quick service locations with filtered water (out of the soda machine). I think the main complaints come from water fountains. A QS location will give you a free cup of ice water anytime so you could just get that and refill your bottle.

I don't mind most of the water around WDW, but we do get cases of Zephyr Hills from Publix or Costco. It's tasty water IMO. Whole Foods is for other stuff (usually an incredibly expensive "omg we're suddenly starving" dinner our first night at Universal LOL), but the water we get from the other stores. :)

While we do get water at the restaurants we primarily drink bottled water at the parks and in our resort. However we drive to WDW so it makes it easy to pack 1-2 gallons of bottled water that I get from our water cooler at home in the car and then use that to pour into our smaller bottles that we take to the parks.

If we didn't drive I would try to make a stop or pick up a large bottle or gallon of bottled water at a grocer on the way to WDW.:thumbsup2

Before our trip in 2010, we learned that the counter service venues at the parks will give you (free) water in a disposable cup with a lid/straw. We took advantage of that...it was HOT in September! The water was fine. My DH is a total water snob, and he didn't complain.

I drink tons of water and I always travel with my Boble water bottle. It has its own filter so the water tastes better than tap. They are only like $15 at Target/Walmart/etc. I highly recommend it to save money over buying bottled water.

My Brita bottle goes everywhere with me. At WDW I fill it with ice water from quick service restaurants and have not had an issue with the water's taste.

As PP mentioned, any QS location will give you a free cup of ice water. I use this to refill my water bottle when it's empty. I think it tastes fine, but then again I do live down here...

Thanks for the input! I think I will be fine with the filtered water from the soda machines, and asking for the free water at QS locations. Although, I may stop at Whole Foods because it is well, Whole Foods!

Disregarding taste..I tend to go with bottled water simply because I find when I drink the local water when I travel it can mess with my regularity (trying to be as discreet as I can). Yes they sell bottled water at Disney, but I'm sure it will be much less expensive if you get it at an outsitde store beforehand.

I also only drink coffee, water and wine.
Use a water bottle with a filter and then the local water is not that bad. I have a Brita sports bottle.

I always buy a case of bottled water and we carry the individual bottles to the park.
Remember that if you are going to QS for a free glass of ice water, you have to wait in line behind everyone ordering their food.
    Have Fun

Us too. I have both brands and they both get the job done - even filling with the tap or a drinking fountain tastes fine, and that's usually where my complaint lies. From the restaurants the water is generally filtered and tastes fine on its own, but if you are like me and want a glass of water to take to bed you'll want to have bottled or a filter bottle of your own.

I find it unnecessary to buy bottled water since every resort has a food court with a soda machine....in that soda machine there is a water button. out comes cold filtered water! OP, since you have your own bottle, i would just fill it up at the machine everytime you need it. At the parks, go to any QS. Simple! Thats what we did each time.

We brought water bottles/sippies for ourselves and the kids and just filled them up inside DW at all of the restaurants. Tasted fine to us, and it was cold and free. What more can you ask for? :thumbsup2

I don't mind the water at Disney at all. I was pregnant on our last trip and guzzling water any chance I could get (I was also very picky because I was in the first trimester) and it tasted fine.

We buy water in a gallon jug at the resort shop. It is spring water and is less than 3.00 a gallon.
