When to start DDC XXVI?

Today is Monday Dec 31, 2012. Happy New Year!

I leave for the DDCC in 5 days.

So this poll is to get an idea of when to start the new thread.

Do I post it Friday night before I go, or do I wing it and post it when the current thread is ready to shut down and I have time to do it?
