Decorations go up over a couple of weeks these days starting sometime in November. The resorts seem to be first and then the parks by around Thanksgiving.
Does anyone remember when everything went up overnight in the week following Thanksgiving. It was amazing. Of course there were just a handful of resorts in those days.
we i noticed that nov 13 is the mvmcp
Wow, I guess they've moved up the MK decorations then!
Sometimes I've seen a schedule on allears.
Last year we were there 11/8 - 11/14 and there were many decorations up. Trees at many resorts and at all parks also garland and wreaths everywhere. I wonder if it changes every year? We were also there in 2002 same time frame and there were no decorations up.
Or maybe evolves. We were there from around the 15th to 25th in 2003. When we arrived, the resorts we visited and stayed at were decorated already. AK, Epcot and MGM were decorated toward the middle to end of our trip. We went home a day or two before Thanksgiving and our very last day, the MK was decorated.
We arrived last year on November 18th and it appeared that the majority of the Christmas decorations were up.
thats great thanks everyone
When we were there 1999 we arrived Your thanksgiving... there was true pixie dust when we woke up the morning poof there was Christmas everywhere. It was neat watching the different hotels decorating their gingerbread houses until they looked perfect!
we were there Nov.1-8 last year and the decorations in the Magic Kingdom "magically" appeared when we arrived the morning of Nov. 3. Hopefully it will be the same this year!
