When do the Christmas Lights go up?

My DH and I are trying to plan our trip to DLR and we would like to see it all pretty for Christmas. I'm sure I've asked this before. TIA!

The castle starts before Halloween. Christmas starts going up elsewhere when Halloween ends. After about a week there will be a lighting ceremony at IASW. They pre-shoot the Christmas parade, usually with everything but the tree up. Then the tree goes up within the next week and Christmas time officially starts about 2 weeks after Halloween. Very little of the decorations are lights, though.

Usually the Avengers Half Marathon weekend is also the first weekend that Christmas parade, treats and rides are officially started and open. This year that is Nov 11-13.

Last year I was there starting Nov. 3 for 4 days. They were taking down Halloween and putting up Xmas, it was interesting to see how things changed overnight. That being said we had two rides closed as they were making them into xmas theme (jungle cruise and small world) so the second week is much better. If you can find a schedule of ride refurb that would also be a good clue.

After Halloween is prerty good gauge. Olafs rink, treee, and other stuff is generally up by mid Nov
