We are sailing on the Wonder in November. We booked a dolphin encounter a few weeks ago through the DCL website. I just received a phone call from my credit card company with a suspicious charge which just happens to be the amount of our excursion (actually about $5 more...taxes?) I thought DCL charges for the excursions to your shipboard while you are on the cruise. Is this still the case?

Did you ask the credit card company where the charge came from?

When we cruised with DCL in May they charged the excursions to our stateroom account, and no extra taxes.

If you booked directly through DCL, they won't apply the charge for excursions to your room until the cruise. Your CC wouldn't be charged until a few days later whenever your room account reaches the max balance to run it through the CC.

Thanks for the info. That's what I was afraid of...
